Loved how Knights of Arnham played during the drop. Nostalgia. "Out of ammo. God save the King". British Paratroopers, Arnham 1944. The Knights of Arnham.
This game were ahead of its time. The graphics, the sound effects and the atmosphere of the battlefield were extraordinary compared to its contemporary games. But the only thing I didn't really like when playing this was its motion blur; it’s too much😅
@@skomy_o As a man currently playing through COD 2, I must disagree with you. This looks very good compared to COD 2 in terms of gameplay and graphics. I would prefer World At War though. That'll always be my favorite FPS campaign.
Imagine if EA went all out and did a european theatre live map. Experience d-day, battle of britain, normandy, crossing the rhine etc. Man someone needs to do it.
My favourite mission here. Shooting in this game was extremaly realistic and powerful for it's times, especially the colt and m1 garand and shotgun. Also multiplayer was very iconic and german voice acting very well done. The only negative side of this game is it's short campaign
The only thing I didn't like about this game was that at the end they made it Wolfenstein like. With super soldiers and all in some Darth Vader bunker 😂 all the missions up till the end were great.

When you get that slow-motion moGettingment on getting the award I used it to just spray any Germans within range. You don't use any extra ammunition! Getting the combat drop targets was another challenge. Fuzzy recollection but is this Nijmegen & not Arnhem?
This game posits that the operation was successful. Frontline shows the aftermath and Brothers in arms Hells Highway shows in gruesome detail that Airborne's depiction is entirely inaccurate (Landing anywhere near the bridge was suicide and the Allies didn't drop over Eindhoven, they landed in fields and forests. The tanks are also not correct. It should be British XXX tanks, mostly fireflies not regular M4 Shermans. Also you're way to close to the bridge in the beginning. It is a miracle the plane didn't get shot down. At least Vanguard is somewhat accurate, showing a massive flak belt that dozens of planes are flying through). Swing and a miss: PS2 Vanguard is more accurate to History than Airborne

When you destroy one of the Tiger tanks you can hear the screams inside the tank as the crew burn inside its lovely details.
This was a fantastic game, a lot of great memories from it. Multiplayer was fun as well. Still holds up pretty well, both visuals and audio.
