I've been playing this game for nearly two decades and I never even tried to stealth the beginning like that haha
Really? That's how I always started it too, one of my favorite missions.
I tried sneaking, but I believe I was clumsy, I could not make it far, unless it was meant to be a sneaky part.
Oh well .. two decades earlier I had the advantage of having snap-reflexes .. Nowadays I expect somekinda' aid to help a two-decades older fart..

I hated this mission as a kid being 7-8 years old because the music is super spooky...
The music is from MoH Underground. Yeah spooky beacuse this tune is for the Catacombs in France
The full cinematic score took me back as did the briefing room mission music.

When I was young, I played this game with no stealth at all 😂. And still managed to finish the campaign.

this is such a great game! what adds to the immersion is the AI making comments like "versuchs doch nochmals". It really shows the developers cared about details.

Without triggering alarm at all IIRC is not possible on hard because hard AI gets super-hearing on this mission, they hear you even when you're in separate building. There are at least 3 sections where they get alerted the moment you open the door in building... and your best bet is to be super-quick to kill them before they manage to run to the alarm.
You will always get discovered by the third building (where Gestapo has the dinner party) on hard, so I think the best possible result is to get to that part without blowing your cover, then kill them quickly enough for only the most distant enemy to call alarm and then turn it off instantly, so you only have to deal with single reinforcements wave.
But on easy and medium it's 100% doable to stay undercover for entire mission.
How did you do that? I tried a lot and i can't avoid them turning on the alarms. I played like i had to disable every 30 seconds haha. At least the 2 MP40 boys give 25 health :')

I remember when I played this mission... And I did it stealthtily without being spotted by any sentry... if the hi-standard's rate fire wasn't one shot at once, it would very funny! But it would be better with a silenced-sten (sten with suppressor) also called stealth sten

I played this years ago - I'd forgotten what bad taste the Germans had in wallpaper and carpet - it's a cruel world.
Just installed the game but yet again Windows 11 strikes again.. got it working just but got black lines down the screen

Depends on your luck, i sometimes get genius ai even i play on normal and then sometimes broken which are really dumb
It is easy level. On hard he would die after 2-3 shots.

On hard mode they get insane accuracy, they position very tactically and suppress you shooting from behind covers etc. and this game really is a challenge to beat, even for me as a veteran hardcore FPS player. Playing it again after long time the AI was actually much better than I remembered. And yeah, IIRC on hard you can only survive 2 shots from Kar98 - on third you die.
