I actually picked up the compact metabo drill because of your review, instead of going with the kit, I just bought the drill driver and bought the tripple hammer impact due to an awesome sale price at lowes, really nice tools.
I can’t remember if it made the video or not but the reason why the Metabo impact that comes with the drill didn’t make the kit is just that the triple hammer is better and roughly the same price. So nice job picking a good one.
Your one of the few youtubers I respect. Most youtubers just focus on power and nothing else matters and you also take take time to answer questions you now earned a subscription. So a question being a makita(40v and 18v) and also Milwaukee guy regarding the track saw whats the perk to buying milwaukee instead of makita 40v? I live in Europe so prices are very different here. thanks
I haven’t used the XGT although I want to so take what i say from that perspective. In the US price isn’t equal so that makes the decision easier. I think that the future of power tools is high voltage so a part of me feels that Makita might be the better choice from that perspective. But I really don’t think you can go wrong with either saw in quality. I nearly caved and got the XGT a time or two but I am slightly more invested in Milwaukee and that matters some at the end of it.
I like the breath of items you showed. I must have missed the Metabo HPT drill driver review. I picked up the 36 volt recipro and rear handle circular saws. What a pleasure to use. The weight loss from the Milwaukee/ Makita is noticeable Merry / Happy to you and yours. Here’s to another great tool year! 😁
I recently bought both the M12 fuel barrel grip jigsaw and the icon mini bit ratchet set; both are amazing and among my favorite tool purchases of the year. I'm looking forward to the new icon mini ratchet set coming out spring/summer. That'll probably be a day one buy for me. Same goes for the M12 fuel brad nailer.
Merry Christmas Happy New Year The Icon ratchet has been great. The thumb wheel just makes it work better than my other 1/4 ratchets, the access it gives came in handy too often with the flex head and configurations you can make. Would buy again if lost. Looking forward to a case with sockets and hopefully square bits included
Thanks, same to you! I have tried zooming in on the bits in the video where I saw a person demonstrating the new set at Sema and the bits look the same. But I guess the one good thing is if there is a bit you don’t use you could swap it for a square drive.
Regarding Hercules: I've heard a lot of good things. The ability to just exchange them over the counter (as opposed to mailing them on or taking them to repair center) is a HUGE plus IMO. For me, warranties are worthless if I can't do that.
The extended warranty of Hercules brushless tools really transformed how you can view their brand. They are no longer just disposable harbor freight tools at that point.
@TinkerWithTools Harbor Freight has hugely improved some of their tools. For example: their Icon hand tools are very close to my Snap On tools, and Doyle is nipping at Kkein's heels.
Please make some videos about Skil tools their newer tools look very cool and i've heard that the inside build quality and the inside components are pretty good with exellent pricing, they look pretty interesting :D
Metabo HPT belt sander is best unclass and priced best of all Goes well with their 1/2" full size plunge router Awesome and they both.can run in that AC adapter saving lots of life on batteries when power is available
@@TinkerWithToolsoh you won't be disappointed Didn't know how many more jobs I e found for it Not just in the shop but for trimming out windows and siding on jobsite
Yeah it’s worrisome to me when big stores like Lowe’s or Home Depot stop carrying all or part of a lineup. I really like having hands on a tool like that. Plus being in stores helps get them in more hands.
Nice list. I really like the Milwaukee track saw as well. I was choosing between it and the Festool TSC 55 K which I had my eye on for a long time. When it comes down to it, I like the single battery, riving knife and cost savings of the Milwaukee. The electronic anti-kick mechanism is cool, but in my way of thinking, I'd rather have a riving knife help prevent kickback before it happens rather than an electronic kill switch after the kickback has occurred. If the Festool had both, I think it would be superior on that point, but it doesn't. Makita doesn't even have a riving knife, so I know kickback is not a huge concern (especially for sheet goods), but I also see little justification of the Festool's anti-kickback feature now that the Milwaukee has arrived with a single 18v battery. After calculating the cost of-not only the saw-but all the accessories for the Festool system, the Milwaukee is just a far better value to me.
Yeah the pricing on the M18 saw was a big surprise on the initial announcement. I was expecting a premium price for it and instead they when level with the existing 18v track saws from Makita and DEWALT. Plus they stuck on the track compatibility with Festool Makita and that existing eco system of accessories. For me that is a big win.
@@TinkerWithTools I also like the savings on the 106" track. Marketing wise, I think Milwaukee was being very tactical with the pricing there. That adds to an already significant savings across the board.
@@steffendetrickexactly I still use some Makita tools but when they chose not to make their 40V batteries NOT backwards compatible with the 18V like Metabo HPT and DeWalt did and still choose not to have viable nailers or competent table saw and no AC adapter like MHPT-I won't pay the premium price when my Milwaukee and Metabo HPT tools are better performing , better warranted and better priced for comparable Makita

Oh man. Just get the XGT then.
Those Metabo drill/drivers look super nice. I would be putting one in my cart if I hadn't upgraded my Milwaukee this year already.
Yeah you didn’t pick a bad one with Milwaukee.

It was part of the combo kit with the brushless non triple hammer impact.

I agree with you on both of those. I am pretty excited to have a smaller Brad nailer.
can you review Bauer belt sander and Ridgid one
I don’t currently own a belt sander but if I ever pick one up I’ll try to do some sort of comparison.
Very nice selections! I was thinking you were going include the M12 impact driver, but chances are it made one of your other lists.
I reviewed that in 2022. I honestly can’t remember if it made the list. I know that the gen 3 M12 fuel drill did.
Merry Christmas

the new Metabo HPT Bolt Triple Hammer
Nice. I liked that one but I already had the 36v bolt so it just felt like more of the same. Likely why it didn’t make the list.

Lowes is stupid for not carrying all of their 36V tools yrs before they went all in on flex
They should put them right next to the nailers

I only buy one brand of power tools and that's Dewalt I'm very impressed so far I do use Milwaukee at work but not my favorite brand
Nothing wrong with DEWALT. They were more featured on last year’s top 7 video.
