I'm a MOTGMOTT. Probably 95% ATGATT, including leather chaps and gloves. Yes, even in Nebraska summers. I became a true believer after striking a deer back in 2017. I slid over 60 feet. Was 100% geared up, including chaps. Leather chaps trashed. Ballistic armored jacket trashed. Full-face modular helmet trashed. Boots trashed. Not a scrape or abrasion on my body. I did end up with a broken rib, most likely from the deer strike itself. Is being geared up comfortable all the time? Hell, no. Do I do it anyway? Hell, yes.
