hi i have the opus quad and i want to ask if i can use the opus quad on virtual dj but e seperate mixer i mean i want to move the crossfaders in controller but not in virtual dj its a possible ?
You can stream on the Opus if you are playing out of RB via USB-C connection. I can stream beatsource directly on the Opus from my laptop. Not sure if that counts but that is how I use it at home. Great video btw! Thank you!
You can turn off or reduce the amount of adverts on your video. That is up to you though. I pay for Premium and don't mind it. One of the problems with having videos else where is usually the video player just isn't as good as UA-cam's video player. As deceptively simple as the video player may seem, UA-cam's player still has one of the best out there from a end user stand point.
Hi There have you had any information on development to allow rekordbox to run the management software with iPad Pro with attached storage, instead of having to run the prime software from Mac/PC? I’ve just purchased the pioneer opus quad, your tutorial on the device was a fantastic help. I’ve been a DJ from the age of 16, I am 64 now, and still have a nice system sitting in the garage that hasn’t been out for roughly 10 years, as you know its hard to get it out of your system! So I’m setting up a booth at home. I will be investing in some of your online courses but need to get set up first. Thanks for all the great content you provide Steve
Hi! This is probably answered in the video/and or comments but im going to a gig with the opus quad in not too long and need a very spesific yes/no answer. WILL my USB sticks exported with rekordbox as normal (not the newest version) work on this opus? I dont understand the new device library plus thing. Do you NEED this for it to work as normal on this opus quad?
First congratz on the way all tutorials are presented from Digitial Dj Tips. I have a question, first i own an Opus Quad, since the release, i allways use it in stand alone mode with the usb's prepared in rekordbox etc... Moving on i took a subscription on Beatport to stream via Rekordbox. Now, when i do and create a connection via wifi with Opus Quad and Rekordbox (on laptop) just to use the database of music, so not with Link, i can only see the tracks who are physically in my rekordbox appearing on the Opus Quad and not the playlists i stream from Beatport, or the track that i added amongst my own tracks in several playlists on Rekordbox.... I looked everywhere for a solution, but without succes. Now in the tutorial above, this way of working, connecting was briefely touched, so i wondered is there a tutorial specifique on this topic so i can learn how to resolve my problem? Looking forward to you answer and tips.
You need to connect the Opus Quad to your laptop with a USB cable plugged into the USB-C socket on the back of the Opus Quad, and set Rekordbox into Performance mode. Even on WiFi you are still using Link, which doesn't let you use streaming services at all.
@@digitaldjtips i was afraid it would turn out to be lijke this. I'm on it and testing this weekend. Thank you so much for replying and looking forward to seeing more about the Opus on your channel.
Hi, I am a student of Digital DJ tips, I have a quick question for my devices set up. I have a opus quad and two CDJ-3000s connected together with ethernet hub. I am now facing a problem that my opus quad seems cannot be connect as a host, the usb that I plug into the opus-quad seems can not be detected by two cdjs. Is there any way that I can solve this problem? i am sure that I have them all updated to the latest firmware.
@@digitaldjtipsSeriously?? This is bad! I bought an Opus Quad instead an XDJ-XZ just for to later upgrade with one or two CDJ-3000. Does it make any sense not to have this option?
I'm thinking about getting this whenever my XDJ-RX2 dies on me. Good to have something at home that has a similar ecosystem as using the CDJ-3000s in the clubs. I just wish more smaller clubs/bars would invest in these standalone controllers instead of us having to use jacked up CDJs 😂
I want these features just not that design cmon pioneer where theee f@#$ is the XZ2 and why was there no SZ3 id buy one of each if they came out. I still got my SZ2 qnd I use it way more then my cheaper built XDJ XZ i was let down when I bought it honestly, my SZ2 is much better built but the XDJ is closer to my cdj2000s, if they came with an SZ3 and gave it the XZ layout it would sell like hotcakes. I was for sure pioneer was dropping one once they came with the Sx3 but instead we had a bunch of cute very very plastic light way baby controllers. My SZ2 two tech has the same internals of the newest shit for the most part to with a few exceptions, then they come with this advanced feature packed ugly azz atari looking Opus and shot my dreams down in 2023, my name is Bobby im a music addict, thanx for letting me share😂
For longer sets than 2 hours, I just stick to a controller, for any thing shorter the gear is already there. I had this monstrosity and it’s not like the cdj 3000, I have since sold it for the rev 7 and some plx 12s.
I love my Opus but the bluetooth function its terrible. takes forever to connect. Today I was 20 min trying and I couldn't connect to my phone or my laptop. They should do an update this for such and expensive peace
@@krazy2094 They are now only available in beta version so I am not using them in standalone however with Serato or Virtual DJ they are working perfectly
I’m not a fan of the opus it falls behind the prime 4 if it was cheaper it maybe more attractive for similar money I could get Denons full media player set up
The only way it should be is plug and play with a usb without it analyzed thru RB….The build in computer, should recognize that? It’s an expensive piece of equipment so it’s not really stand alone! All these other features does not make sense to me just to play music! If u have no Wi-Fi available then what?

No, this doesn't exist really. The iOS app is not up to the job. You need to use the laptop app.
Can you be more specific about how the wifi to wifi connect works? I cant see it in my sources on Quad.
Did you figure this out? I can't see rekordbox as a source over WIFI
Looking forward to the opus tutorial vid
Coming soon!
I am picking up my rmx 1000 today. Can I connect it to my Opus Quad? Thank you.
Only over the main output

Hello , please does it have limitation when using serato dj with it? thanks
It works fine with Serato DJ
As a live act (I use a DJS 1000 sampler with a n external guitar looper) is the OQ better option then an XZ?
XZ is more flexible with inputs and outputs, OQ is a more powerful unit internally. If what you've got is working for you, stick with it!

What is the workaround to play beatport through rekorbox currently?
DJ from your laptop attached
People say that USB’s are dead after few months. dis you had any issues with USB connection?
Does the opus quad work with DVS
will the opus work with time coded Vinyl?
Some one reply to this
Having problem to connect to wi fi!!!!!! Any solutions???
I would make sure your Wi-Fi is working on the 2.4 and 5 bands, but apart from that don’t know what else to suggest

No. the Opus Quad cannot be used in this way unfortunately, you'd have to use an XDJ-XZ

Can I use Sereto stems with this controller ?
Not easily as it has no controls for that, but you could add a second smaller Midi controller to do that

Doesn’t serato have the app : PYRO ?

Would you say this is Nightclub Quility?
Yes, definitely.
Which nightclub do you own 😱
It’s an impressive kit but for $7K AUD, it should have a bit more to it including Streaming services,
We guess they're coming
Denon DJ Prime 4+ does same stuff and even more for less money that's why it was my choice instead of Opus Quad
What’s your thoughts on Denon stems
No Slipmode or Stems support did it for me. So I'm rockin' Prime 4+ as well.

It doesn't on-board analyse but you can still play tracks from a USB that way. All standalones are better with laptop analysis ahead of time.
Hey Pioneer ! If you read this we want like xdj-rx2 setup with wifi and internal Tidal ! This setup like for kids and girl setup !
wow this controller looks terrible and at $3500 ? terrible job by pioneer or alpha theta whatever they call themselves
Opus Quad AKA the ugliest peace of dj gear ever made...
That is of course subjective
@@digitaldjtips Absolutely! It's just my opinion. I have the xdj XZ and I'll never trade it for the quad, despite the technical differences.
Hello, does it support Ableton Link like denon prime could do?
No
