I’m wondering how many of my one tap to the head shots are not landing because of weapon durability. It’s odd to incorporate that without a repair mechanic.
Honestly, as soon as a gun drops below 3MOA, I bin it, or at least change out the barrel and reciever. I play sneaky, and I cbf with guns that miss a 1 hit kill at medium range when I have them dead-to-rights. That usually means that if I die with a gun more than once it goes in the bin. The durability drop off is insane and needs to be reworked
the update is pretty cool, its just unfortunate that I'm still feeling really terrible performance on my CPU sometimes and the AI enemies seem to tank 80 shots one time and drop in one the next... the sad part is that when I'm at like 50 FPS or so the game feels sooooo good but when it dips to 20 bc it's asking for everything my i5 9600K has to offer I like can't be expected to actually be able to do anything

We just need to overcome point with hardware that midrange gpus and cpus will run games with Lumen and Nanite enabled with 120-160fps. This technologies take big chunk of performance right away, but then it doesnt matter how many highres assets and draw distance will be in the scene (Nanite), same with how many highquality realtime lights will be in the scene (Lumen/Megalights). Big advantage is developers dont need to make LODs and they dont need to bake lights so it accelerates the development massively. For user the advantage is maximum quality objects in whole drawdistance without lods popups (its massive difference when looking far away at trees etc. its so high quality in every distance) and realtime gorgeous globalillumination with accurate indirect lighting and shadows. I am excited for 5090 performance and possibly DLSS4 with some groundbraking ai acceleration of something new to push the limits to become closer to make lumen and nanite standard soon. AI acceleration will change everything, it will get only better and better and every game even indie games will look epic and development time will be much faster and easier. What I am concerned about is CPU future, more and more games are CPU bottlenecked, games fails to utilize all cores and single core performance is barely evolving. I never and i mean drop below 130 fps max settings with DLSS quality and framegen 1440P 7800X3D + 4070. The thing about framegen that some people do not understand is that the amount of input latency introduced when its enabled depends on what frames you were getting before you enabled it. If your approaching 90 fps then turn on FG input latency is barely noticeable in most games. However if your down in the 40-50 fps range turning on FG will without doubt introduce noticeable input lag. FG is not the bandaid everyone thinks it is, it works great for high powered machines not so great lower powered machines. But for single player games that input lag on lower spec machines is fine.
was really hoping that this would have major performance optimizations seeing as my build is the "recommended" specs but is pretty much unplayable at the lowest settings i can manually set the game to even set to 30 fps and it's not even the fps that's the issue the game often has 2-5 second input delay where i've had my hand off of the keyboard and continued to run for several seconds as well as the mouse not tracking and having extreme stuttering
I just started playing this game again after not playing for months. I get way better frames now than when the game first came out. When it 1st came out I was getting 90 fps but lots of stuttering. After updates, it dropped to like 60-70 fps. Logging in now after the big night cycle update has been out and patched a few times, I now get around 110 fps but sometimes dips to 90s.
I just want to see weekly updates on the performance, and not have to wait 6 months for the next big update. Cause if that's the case it will just be that same as last time. I'll do half the tasks tell mid late tasks when the area's later are unplayable and not touch the game tall the next big update.
@@Maddog0608 They didn't fix anything with the ai. They still 1 shot you from across the map with a pistol and they still tank 40 rounds to the chest/head without dying. Nothing has changed.
@ they def did something with AI in the 2.0.1 update. I thought they were much better with the exception of a random instance of tanking But with this 2.0.2 update they reverted them back to sponges, randomly spawning in front of you and getting one tapped more often. There back to the old AI. I don’t know why they messed with them. They were fine
I had an enemy AI spawn on the roof and my bullets sent them into the sky and they just cussed at me when came back down, I hope they fix the AI I like this game
There is 2 things I hate in it right now 1: my fps before the update 70-100 after update 35-60 2: sometimes bots are just invisible and then just spawn in front of me and kill me instantly really annoying
Played this for a few hours today and crashed for the first time within the first hour and had a ton of issues right away! Enemy’s teleporting next to me, terrible bullet physics and hit reg, (had to shoot a guy 11 times in his head while firing in between a wooded beam on a porch) had a ton of problems with the different bullet damage changes especially on shotgun slugs and with the mp5 at medium range, I find the Ai still 1 tap headshot you through bushes (less at night) and also they got rid of being able to use FSR frame generation unless you have a 40 series card so I now am getting 55 avg frames when just yesterday I was around 125 avg so it’s a mess atm I was disappointed 😔
my biggest concern is that if you adjust the gamme it is as bright as day you don t need any nvg or flashlight wich is very sad they put so much effort in the nvg but i guess nobody is going to use them i haven t tested the night properly pls correct me if i am wrong
They are not going to do anything about the optimization, they said that they are betting on people getting better computers by the time this game "comes out" in 1.0
@@qlintenFXmy 3060 has been running it fine. Before update I was full on crashing every 30 mins after update I played all day yesterday and only had 1 crash
Wait so with the aggressor system, once the timer counts down are you still able to loot the body? I wasn’t able to even after the aggressor wore off not sure if it’s a bug?
Running an 5800x3d with a 4070super and im so fucking happy with the patch. Sat down and played yesterday for the longest ive played any game in more than a year.
I think this game runs a lot better than people give it credit for, I have 7800X3D and get 90-100 FPS by default. But what's important to note is that these big games require great CPUs to run and are much more CPU dependent than GPU dependent. Thankfully the game gives you the option to reduce your resolution scaling, which makes the game look worse but takes a massive load off of your CPU. You can then increase some of the other graphical settings to put more of the load on your GPU instead for much better frames. In these types of games the limiting factor is almost always the CPU and not the GPU, unless you have a very poor GPU.
Honest thought on the update: - Largely more optimized compared to the last time i played (went from 20fps constant to 35-45 fps constant, net improvement and really makes gameplay much more enjoyable) - AI enemies, while still having really solid aim, feel more enjoyable to face against with their quote-on-quote "nerfs" Initially, this was in the starting zones, where they had aimbot-style aim, unlike now.... Now i've got the LLA outposts to deal with ;-; - Rubberbanding being fixed also makes it a very fun experience, combined with the improved FPS. Negative thoughts: Your teammates are either a blessing in disguise, or just the worst cancer on your side... They either know how to check a map, or they don't and just shoot on sight ;-; Conclusion: Me likey lots, and i'm gonna bleed this game now uwu (PC Specs: RTX 3060 laptop, CPU 11th Gen i5 @3100GHz, 16GB of RAM (8GB are shared with the GPU), 14GB of VRAM (6GB dedicated, 8GB shared) --- And for reference, i do get the "Ran out of VRAM" icon when in game)
im playing on a laptop and get persistent 85-90 fps, not crazy but for a game thats this unoptimized its respectable. play with your settings, youll get there
I have never heard "OLED is pay to win"... OLED is more expensive, but its also a tradeoff... I love my OLED for the dark scene accuracy. But it is also going to be hella expensive when something goes wrong.
Frame generation and upscaling at 1080p should not be considered "how the game runs"! If that technology improves the gameplay with little downsides, it's worth noting but it's still a crutch, and the base performance is what truly matters, even if you plan on using those crutches.
I definitely have an issue with drops, pre update I'd average around 120-130. Now ill have drops every couple seconds, and it'll dip down to below 25. like massive stuttering. its cool staying at the base and using the firing range at night with nightvision though.
the aggressor system helped me earlier, dude accidentally unloaded on me so I got him had a clear UI element telling me not to loot him etc which I appreciated but I got the aggressor mark myself later and I dunno why, I guess I shot near a teammate, but I feel like suppressing a teammate is less bad than anything else, so I dunno why I had the mark for so long
the AI are still giga Chad Terminators :/ and one thing that's super annoying about that is there was a bunch of shooting in the town and i fell over dead. there was no impacts next to me no sounds of the snap as the bullets whizzed by me nothing. just folded over
They need to be because the game itself is trying to represent how being in an extraction shooter feels like in real life (as a Private Military Contractor (PMC)).

The people always ridiculing for not wanting 30fps because that’s all we had 20 years ago listen I didn’t pay 3k for a pc and 2k for a display to play in 30fps that I did on Xbox 360 😂
#1 problem holding this game back is performance. They need to stop, and optimize the hell out of it if they want this to go anywhere. Until then, we'll be back when the 5090s becomes affordable. Sincerely the community that wants this to be great but can't play it
@Brzzzyexe I have a i9-10900k 3080rtx whatever the problem is they need to fix it. It would benefit them to make it playable on potatoes and high end machines. The graphics settings in this game don't make a difference... Or don't make a logical difference... Nail that down and this game will explode... Ignore that and it will remain abscure
@@MRLEGEND101_ I have a 3070 and before the update had around 40-30 fps, it was possible to stream but not completely. now I don't know because I'm waiting for the next update which will come in 6 months
@TactiGamer True, definitely has a little while to go. In all honesty, with the minor issues, the game is really fun with tons of potential. It reminds me of Ghost Recon Wildlands.
Been using a controller since day 1. I uploaded the config to steam, and currently adding new bindings for the new functions. Have to search my name in configs, and hopefully you have a ps4 controller.
Dunno what you're on about. I'm consistently in the 120 frames neighborhood. But I throttled it down to 60 because my monitor refresh doesn't go that high. Smooth as butter all day, and I don't even have that great of a system.
Anybody else having an issue with the lean right mechanic, I have to click my mouse 4 two times to lean out to the right, and what’s up with the weight system. I tend to be around 51-53 on the weight side when I’m kitted. I only run two clips and three stacks of ammo. Water and Rations in backpack.
They should add two separate kind of modes with sub modes in this game: one for people who want to play the game the way it's supposed to be played (something that people don't do) and one for people who want to play it like a genuine extraction shooter. This whole thing about people misunderstanding what this game is even about and complaining when developers don't care about you not playing it the way it's supposed to be played is probably just going to be an issue in long terms.
I have been getting consistent 85-90 fps at 1440 on epic w/o frame gen turned on; occasional drops to 65 in the heli and such. Granted I did just update my PC (mainly to run all these modern system hungry games), but for what it is worth I would say it is more than stable on a 7700X w/ 4070 super...
dang, I was really hoping to come back but I think I'll keep waiting a bit. I REALLY like the idea of this game, way more than arena breakout, tarkov, any of them. Fingers crossed.
Gonna be honest here, I run 90 - 100 fps with DLSS enabled on my RTX 3080. So I am not sure what exactly the problem is that your having. But at least on my end the game is very smooth and actually looks great at this stage.
Bought this game on day one played for a bit unistalled it. But there is good news from valve that may fix shit games like this from being sold to consumers in early access.
Considering they meet every requirement from steam.... yeah nothing will change. They have detailed every single content update for the next 3 years. They maintain constant communication with the community on what theyre focused on and why certain things are being delayed... you act as though they arent trying but they are just not on the things you want them to.
Nvidia has frame gen. AMD is nice enough to support nvidia when it won’t even support its own cards and force you to buy the new gen. Sounds like coping
Is it me or they enemy Ai is nerfed to the ground. I installed the game and in 1 go i went lvl 9. The enemies have NOTHIN to do with my exprience on 1st playthrough. And this comes from a dude that did all the OG Tiger Bay missions solo.
its funny how they worked their as off when the game first come out, but when they got a lot of money. i mean a LOT of money they started to take things real slow, failing to fix the same thing over and over again. not to mention lying to the people that bought the game. blamed gamers for their incompetency to fix problems people found, instead of fixing them they blamed the gamers. talking and bragging about the stuff they would add and fix, and yet fucked it so up they needed a rollback on the night update.
The one thing stopping me from getting this game is my pc hardware and the performance. I have an 12700k and an Rtx 3060 ti and I’ve heard the game runs like garbage on that hardware. As soon as I start hearing better things or I can afford a new gpu I’ll jump on this game right away. If anyone has input on the performance on my hardware feel free to rely id greatly appreciate it.
Arena Breakout Infinite. It's AI can recognise over 177.000 objects and can basically do stuff for you (help you in battle, inform about weather and stuff).

I'm running same setting. playing epic and 130 on avg. i do have the 4070ti instead if the 4070 you have but it runs amazing
They really dropped the ball on this, this was their only chance to comeback and they blew it
was really hoping that this would have major performance optimizations seeing as my build is the "recommended" specs but is pretty much unplayable at the lowest settings i can manually set the game to even set to 30 fps and it's not even the fps that's the issue the game often has 2-5 second input delay where i've had my hand off of the keyboard and continued to run for several seconds as well as the mouse not tracking and having extreme stuttering
Imagine filling out bug reports on Google documents. Shame I missed the refund window.
I'll do half the tasks tell mid late tasks when the area's later are unplayable and not touch the game tall the next big update.
i'm still waiting for them to fix the ai so i have to wait another 6 months until maybe i can play.
@ what’s wrong with the AI. There not perfect but there 10 times better than they were before
@@Maddog0608 They didn't fix anything with the ai.
There is 2 things I hate in it right now
1: my fps before the update 70-100 after update 35-60
2: sometimes bots are just invisible and then just spawn in front of me and kill me instantly really annoying
thats been a problem since launch lol. shame it still happens
@ rip bro, tbh if they don’t fix that I’m out of this game cause it’s just impossible to play like this in dangerous situations or zones
probably because they temporarily disabled fsr frame gen for nvidia cards
Same I’m on a 3080 using lossless scaling and before I was around 100fps and now I’m barely at 50
@@caramelraindrops yeah I hope they fix it as fast as possible
Played this for a few hours today and crashed for the first time within the first hour and had a ton of issues right away! Enemy’s teleporting next to me, terrible bullet physics and hit reg, (had to shoot a guy 11 times in his head while firing in between a wooded beam on a porch) had a ton of problems with the different bullet damage changes especially on shotgun slugs and with the mp5 at medium range, I find the Ai still 1 tap headshot you through bushes (less at night) and also they got rid of being able to use FSR frame generation unless you have a 40 series card so I now am getting 55 avg frames when just yesterday I was around 125 avg so it’s a mess atm I was disappointed 😔
my biggest concern is that if you adjust the gamme it is as bright as day you don t need any nvg or flashlight wich is very sad they put so much effort in the nvg but i guess nobody is going to use them
i haven t tested the night properly pls correct me if i am wrong
They are not going to do anything about the optimization, they said that they are betting on people getting better computers by the time this game "comes out" in 1.0
The devs stated optimization is and will be part of every update.

Does it still take a full mag of 9mm to put down a villager with every bullet hitting from ten feet away?
My game keeps crashing. And quests are bugged. Lovely new update.
Honest thought on the update:
- Largely more optimized compared to the last time i played (went from 20fps constant to 35-45 fps constant, net improvement and really makes gameplay much more enjoyable)
- AI enemies, while still having really solid aim, feel more enjoyable to face against with their quote-on-quote "nerfs"
Initially, this was in the starting zones, where they had aimbot-style aim, unlike now.... Now i've got the LLA outposts to deal with ;-;
- Rubberbanding being fixed also makes it a very fun experience, combined with the improved FPS.
Negative thoughts: Your teammates are either a blessing in disguise, or just the worst cancer on your side... They either know how to check a map, or they don't and just shoot on sight ;-;
Conclusion: Me likey lots, and i'm gonna bleed this game now uwu
(PC Specs: RTX 3060 laptop, CPU 11th Gen i5 @3100GHz, 16GB of RAM (8GB are shared with the GPU), 14GB of VRAM (6GB dedicated, 8GB shared) --- And for reference, i do get the "Ran out of VRAM" icon when in game)

Note the FSE 3.1/Nvidia issue is only a problem with older cards, if you have a 4000 series you are using DLSS anyway. Time to upgrade.

New pc player here, just switched from xbox two weeks ago. Im loving greyzone, great time
I quit playing this game because I would get killed by players on the same faction more than players on opposing factions.
Now ill have drops every couple seconds, and it'll dip down to below 25. like massive stuttering. its cool staying at the base and using the firing range at night with nightvision though.
the aggressor system helped me earlier, dude accidentally unloaded on me so I got him
had a clear UI element telling me not to loot him etc which I appreciated
but I got the aggressor mark myself later and I dunno why, I guess I shot near a teammate, but I feel like suppressing a teammate is less bad than anything else, so I dunno why I had the mark for so long
imo the update is a huge w for me and my friends performacnewise
the AI are still giga Chad Terminators :/ and one thing that's super annoying about that is there was a bunch of shooting in the town and i fell over dead. there was no impacts next to me no sounds of the snap as the bullets whizzed by me nothing. just folded over
I haven't had many issues with AI to be honest. Just an anecdote though
They need to be because the game itself is trying to represent how being in an extraction shooter feels like in real life (as a Private Military Contractor (PMC)).
@@TactiGamer They did 100% make ai way less terminator like overal, but sometimes its insane, we were 4 guys and one ai insta dropped 3 of us when we came around the corner xDD
What about DLSS frame generation? I saw Cotton turn it on today and it boosted him 80+ frames.
I can’t even launch the game, as soon as I do it tells me I don’t have enough gpu storage, I have a 4090 so idk what to do
The people always ridiculing for not wanting 30fps because that’s all we had 20 years ago listen I didn’t pay 3k for a pc and 2k for a display to play in 30fps that I did on Xbox 360 😂
Did the fix the problem with the intel i-9's?
#1 problem holding this game back is performance. They need to stop, and optimize the hell out of it if they want this to go anywhere.
Until then, we'll be back when the 5090s becomes affordable.
Sincerely the community that wants this to be great but can't play it
it's not even graphically too intensive it's all cpu bound.
@Brzzzyexe I have a i9-10900k 3080rtx whatever the problem is they need to fix it. It would benefit them to make it playable on potatoes and high end machines. Whats your specs. I push 100 to 80 constantly without using Ai frame gen.
I just want their official controller support to be a top priority at this point.
Oh man wouldn't expect this soon, mate
@TactiGamer True, definitely has a little while to go. In all honesty, with the minor issues, the game is really fun with tons of potential. It reminds me of Ghost Recon Wildlands.
I wouldnt expect official controller support until v1.0 when they will or plan to at least make a console port.
Great review and agree with all of it. The fps drop really make me not play it.
If you have a Nvidia 4000 series you can use DLSS Frame Gen.
They should add two separate kind of modes with sub modes in this game: one for people who want to play the game the way it's supposed to be played (something that people don't do) and one for people who want to play it like a genuine extraction shooter. This whole thing about people misunderstanding what this game is even about and complaining when developers don't care about you not playing it the way it's supposed to be played is probably just going to be an issue in long terms.
does this game have a PVE OR IS IT PVP ONLY?
How many month took them to make an update
I have been getting consistent 85-90 fps at 1440 on epic w/o frame gen turned on; occasional drops to 65 in the heli and such. Granted I did just update my PC (mainly to run all these modern system hungry games), but for what it is worth I would say it is more than stable on a 7700X w/ 4070 super...
You don't need better monitor, as is its pretty bright already, also you can increase gamma from windows and see better than in a daytime
dang, I was really hoping to come back but I think I'll keep waiting a bit. I REALLY like the idea of this game, way more than arena breakout, tarkov, any of them. Fingers crossed.
My fps stays at the 75 limit i locked. Only time i drop frames is in an inventory. My performance has gotten far better since the update.
We shall see how this goes.
secret compassion for the crimson faction is broken
I wish they would switch the sprinting animation, I don’t like the gun pointed straight up in air running… just my opinion !
It runs worse than it did on the first build for me 😢
Gonna be honest here, I run 90 - 100 fps with DLSS enabled on my RTX 3080. So I am not sure what exactly the problem is that your having. But at least on my end the game is very smooth and actually looks great at this stage.
Why would anyone using an nvidia card be using FSR over DLSS anyway?
Do we not have Nvidia Frame Generation in this game?
Bought this game on day one played for a bit unistalled it. But there is good news from valve that may fix shit games like this from being sold to consumers in early access.
I hope so. These scumbags should be giving refunds to everyone.
Considering they meet every requirement from steam.... yeah nothing will change. They have detailed every single content update for the next 3 years. They maintain constant communication with the community on what theyre focused on and why certain things are being delayed... you act as though they arent trying but they are just not on the things you want them to.

its funny how they worked their as off when the game first come out, but when they got a lot of money. i mean a LOT of money they started to take things real slow, failing to fix the same thing over and over again. not to mention lying to the people that bought the game. blamed gamers for their incompetency to fix problems people found, instead of fixing them they blamed the gamers. talking and bragging about the stuff they would add and fix, and yet fucked it so up they needed a rollback on the night update.
8:49 Better than arena breaaaakooouuuut?😅You think?
The one thing stopping me from getting this game is my pc hardware and the performance. I have an 12700k and an Rtx 3060 ti and I’ve heard the game runs like garbage on that hardware. As soon as I start hearing better things or I can afford a new gpu I’ll jump on this game right away. If anyone has input on the performance on my hardware feel free to rely id greatly appreciate it.
I personally think that them using UE 5 was a mistake and if they chose a different engine it would have significantly better framerates.

Let's be honest, this game being open world instead of instanced hurts it more than it helps it.
I disagree, I hate queuing in a lobby for a timed raid. The open world makes things far more dynamic then "pick a point in this world that doesn't actually exist in its full entirety"
@@gagesilvas9426 Just make larger, un-timed instanced maps. Problem solved.
In the games current state, the Open World doesn't really add much to the overall experience and a large majority of the map is more useless filler for your PC to have to process.
