this figure ended up being a lot better than I thought it would be and was a great first proper experience with a figma.
also sorry for such a long video, I tend to ramble quite a bit ut hopefully it's as useful and informative as I had intended.

Great looking figure. The articulation is way more gappy than I would’ve liked but at least it does allow for a lot of movement. Would definitely get it if I had the money. I’ll just have to wait and hope it doesn’t go up in price too much.

Great review, planning on working overtime during my winter break to earn up some money to afford this guy along with the Mafex Homelander. I've been a massive doom fan for years, so seeing his eternal character design finally done justice in the 1/12 scale makes me real happy, because that McFarlane figure was just a plain embarrassment, can't wait to sell mine. Articulation is beyond impressive, the paint looks fantastic, and the accessories look about perfect.
It really is. I also have the mafex homelander and he's great too, the heads in particular are impressive
@@CraftyGecko right?? That figure is like the spitting image of Antony Starr, the sculpt work and detail looks like some next level stuff, good to hear everything else is great too. Unfortunately right after writing that comment I checked amiami and the Doomslayer is out of stock. I’m not at all familiar with how AmiAmi usually goes about restocks, any advice there?

I have a Neca jungle predator that has a very similar weapon to the doom equipment launcher. And my figure fell over one day into the floor and one of the articulation points snapped like yours. I think that style of weapon and its location is inherently fragile.
Figma should really spend more time in R&D with their figures, the gappy joints and the loose legs are so standard for them. Got my first figma Kirito in 2014 and he had similar issues, now 8 years later every figure is the same crappy engineering and bad quality. Honestly it seems like the McFarlane figure with a wash added is the better choice.
Now that I'm done shitting on good smile, this was a great comprehensive review

I know your really busy but when will you upload stop motions that aren't reviews, also I love the videos where you go over stuff you have made like some of the 3d printed stuff but as always awesome video.

I think mine came to 70 from ami ami, it seems to depend where you get it from
It costs "only" $70 (+shipping+taxes=$140!) But is already sold out in many places, after only one and a half week since release.

Can anyone recommend a fire/ice effect for the Equipment Launcher? I wanna pose him with the shoulder cannon going crazy.
3d printing would be a great option but if not, hot glue guns do really well. Otherwise the my hero academia effects for todoroki might work well
