- Carolina Cyclone is a classic Arrow looping coaster at Carowinds. This was the world's first roller coaster to feature 4 inversions, consisting of 2 vertical loops and 2 corkscrews. The ride was recently repainted for the 2022 season and it looks better than ever!
Honestly, wasn’t a fan of the new colors when they were revealed, but they’ve really grown on me and I love them now. Almost looks like a modern coaster now, and fits the “Carolina Boardwalk” aesthetic they say they’re going for much better
It looks much better than the old one.
I love the new paint. But I hate how the GP think it’s a completely new ride. I’ve never heard anyone complain about how rough it was with the old colors. Cause everyone knew it’s an old coaster. But now I hear almost everyone complain about the roughness. I think the paint has to do with it as people assume paint with a new track experience. I just hope that the complaints don’t lead to a tear down. It’s very smooth for its age and has an impact with the first 4 inversion coaster
I rode it this weekend and thought it was pretty good. Back to back vertical loops are crazy intense.

Nice repaint! I've also noticed on the 2022 park map of my home park Michigan's Adventure that their Corkscrew coaster is getting repainted as well (from its rainbow-ish color to blue track with white supports). :)

After the repaint somehow the ride became glass smooth
It wasn't glass smooth for me earlier this year, but it wasn't brutal.
I think cedar fair is painting most of their arrow loopers teal and white.

so angry that vortex the mega looper from kings island is gone and know it's on this they should have taken anaconda from kings dominion and vortex would have still been with us 😡
