If you are on a budget, i would recommend it for tourists. July to August, best chance of going, with no rain, otherwise take a raincoat and fleece.

Kirkcaldy is the town that floored the world. Famous for its linoleum factories. Anstruther is another recommended place, famous for its fish n chips.
Ravenscraig park, castle & Dysart harbour, i also recommend.
