INSTALLING BUG SCREENS IN OUR CAMPERVAN (no sewing)

- In this video, we will be showing you how we installed our insect screens on the back and sliding door of our DIY Campervan conversion.
For this install, we used The Bug Wall screens for our slider door and our back doors (garage). These screens make it easy to access the lower part of our garage while keeping our sleeping area bug free. These campervan insect screens were a great addition to our camper van as we wrap up our build series.

This bug screen has so many useful features. That's great and you guys did a very neat install.
Honestly, we didn't know it had all of those additional features before we started installing it. I think my favorite feature is covering up the janky wall edges I attempted. 🤣😂 Thanks for watching!
One of the absolutely best channels about anything van life. Thanks a lot for another great video!
Bug Wall is the BEST! Duke resolved a minor issue I had a couple of years ago in an elegant way! He answered the phone, came up with a solution and delivered! Great product. Great service!
Love the Bug screen. I even installed them myself (65 year woman). I love them and can't wait to use them on my next trip. TYSM BUG SCREEN ❤
We love our Bug Wall! We added rare earth magnets at the bottom to keep out nosy raccoons.
Nice! Good idea!
thanks for including your thought process on how deep into "DIY" you want to go...."bug netting" is so temptingly simple at first thoughts....laughed at how wrong I was after watching your vid.
Good screens are game changers. You'll love them. Had not heard of Bugwall. We went with Rolef and could not be happier,
Are there any magnets along the bottom of the screen on the side door to keep bugs from getting under it? It seems like they added extra measures for this scenario on the back so I was surprised not to hear anything mentioned for the side.
Excellent video! Now I know what that bed cover part is for…lol thank you both!
Awesome! Glad it helped. Thanks for watching!
Im just speechless. Thought of everything
Awesome! Glad it helped. Thanks for watching!
Nice job. Sewing is a handy skill to have.
Those look extremely well made. You're not getting them down once the 3M tape cures.
I have watched many of your videos, especially those on the electric system and solar panels. I learned so much. Your were my life line. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I finished my build a year ago and I am planning a trip to Newfoundland and Alaska this summer. Yes, there bugs up there (many), so I am in the market for screens for my van. My side door entrance is similar to yours and I noticed your screen entrance is offset. Would you do any changes to the side entrance screens? do the magnets consistently seal off the entrance or would you have preferred zippers? did the mesh ever come out from under the weather stripping?
As always, I really enjoyed it. Thanks
Thank you guys for the inspiration 👍
Glad it was helpful. Cheers!
The part about your mom 😂😂… anyway another great video! So glad I found your channel. 👏🏽🙌🏾
Hey Joshua, Thanks so much! Cheers!
You both do great work but do you take time to enjoy your campers. Thanks
We lived on the road in our camper for nearly 5 years a few years back. Our life priorities have changed a bit (like running this channel full-time) and now we live in an area where we have near endless recreation opportunities right out of our back door; but we still get out when we can/want.
@@EXPLORISTlife Thanks
Great job!
Hey iamtshine2, Thanks so much! Cheers!
1. Do you have a video of a final walkthrough of your build?
Those look really good. So how long did it actually take the both of you to install them? They seem to have thought of everything with the screen set-up.
I'm sold!
Good job
Thanks! 🙂🙌
What was the problem with the floor? How does it seal to the bottom?
Any comments about differences between Bugwall and Vanessentials Bugwall screens for sliding door?
Where can I buy the thin clips and thick clips? I’d like to try to make my own.
The clips were included with the screens we used.
Do you have a promo code for anyone who wants to try it out? Did you end up adding any magnets?
We didn't need to add any magnets.
Show me you actually going in and out of the van through the side door with the bug screen in place.
Apologies, but once the video is edited and uploaded, we really can't add clips to it.
id much prefer a magnet system
I don't know what you expect me to do with that information. 🤷😂
Deeply disappointed! Not once I've heard "Washer, Lock washer and Nut "!!😢😢
🤣😂
@@EXPLORISTlife Thank you for the most professional, clear and informative information you can get about Victron products. It helped me a lot during planing and configuring of mine system. I hope that I will enjoy it for a long time when my 7000+ hours conversion is finished soon. All the best to you!
