I love early mornings to watch the sunrise! This little thing has a great heat output ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxAvrAfikbUEMthp3AZ6iX5FKdiHfzy_RP . I sit in my rocker, warm, and watch the sunrise! It's great for travel as well. Just stow and go. Love this thing! For hunters, I've heard that they also make a little hood so that it focuses the heat a bit more if you have to sit further away. Just a heads up. It's so easy and quick to set up and get going.
wow. i was in for a surprise. decided to initially skip the grill removal and ship the q-tip and just spray it off with some "dust destroyer"... then i decided to spark it up again and WHOOOFF! that wasn't co2. that was difluoroethane and it didnt clean my pilot light but it fried every particle of dust within 2-3 feet of it!
To run a heater like this off a big tank, you MUST use 1 of 3 methods...1- uses filter on the hose,2- have a regulator on the hose ( chemicals leach from hoses due to high pressure between tank and heater) 3- use Mr.Heater hose #273704( designed to not leach oils under high pressure)... Using one of these methods will eliminate 99% of all heater ignition issues...👍
That’s a good recommendation for the bulk online hose, seems every year from storage all summer I always get dust or debris of some sort in the port and needs a quick clean
We're having trouble with ours lighting. We have to hold the gas on for almost 30 sec to get it to light. Sometimes we have to try about 10 or more times to light it. We use it everyday in the camper. When we change the tank it gives us trouble. The 100 gal tank never did it. Just the 20 and 30 gal tank. It's just 2 mo old. I don't think it's the O2 switch, it is windy as hell and well, it's a camper😂. Has filter, new line. 🤔 I hate being cold, I need ideas.
Ive had that same problem with my 20 pound tanks before, not sure if the valve gets sticky or what but I’ve disconnected the hose to the 20 pound tank before a time or two and turned the gas back on and usually that has taken care of it for me!
Another thing I want to tell people is that a swap out station is a rip off. You get about 40 %. Take your tank and have it fill you'll see the difference for less money.
That's a very good point, unfortunately in my area exchanges are about all you can find for propane... it's getting harder and harder to find actual fill stations in Minnesota for me. Anybody in the twin cities area have recommendations on propane filling locations?
Great work! I have tried this method and disassembly and pilot will light and go out as soon as button is released. Cleaned the tubes. Using 20 pound tanks. I have the Big Buddy heater model with hose and filter. Tried opening valve slowly to no avail.
My heater is yellow, I've seen red, grey, and green but yellow is not very common, no difference in look or function just color, mine has worked fine for years, 20 pound bottle is the way to go.
I would agree the 20 pound is the way to go for these heaters, I only use the 1 pound tanks on mine for early ice fishing (less to carry walking out on ice). Thanks for watching!

I never understood why people shake a can of compressed air like it’s a can of whip cream. You’re not supposed to do that because it will expel liquid refrigerant instead of air. The liquid will also come out if you tilt the can. So unless you want to freezer burn eveything, don’t do that. And also read the instructions; it’s right on the can.
When all else fails read the Mr Heater instructions! You must use the FUEL FILTER when not using tiny bottles.
You betcha!
I live in an RV and the temperature is 19 ° Thanks to you I'm going to be warm!
I’m glad the video was helpful and worked out for you, thanks for watching!
Fixed it, thank you. BTW, if you dont have rubbing alcohol, mouthwash will work.
Glad to hear you’re back and running, thanks for watching!
Thank you for your information , video was more than 1/2 done before showing how to clean it up !

I would say that’s another good way for cleaning out the pilot port haha! Thanks for watching!

Hey Jon,
Very good feedback and information regarding proper use for the buddy heaters with bulk tanks. Thanks for watching!
Use a filter

I have two and I do like them but they aren't as efficient as Mr buddy claims.
Yeah they are great little heaters for having around the house, I like to use mine for ice fishing. Thanks for watching!

"Zit got'ny gais in 'er"?
She’s got plenty of gas in her haha!
I just use a piece of wire.
I think that would be another good option! How do you extract the debris or dirt after using the wire, air duster as well? Thanks!
i have had a few of these heaters and its always the thermocoupler that dies on all the ones Ive had.
Thanks for watching!
The ball joints on the tranny are shot in mine. Lots of debris in there.

Thanks for watching, are you having audio issues?
The audio is messed up if you watch on phone in large screen.
