This is a HUGE pickup for the Bills as Cooper as, not only going to help the younger WRs develop, he is also going to help get them open because teams know who he is and that they have to game plan for him.
picks are valuable because you have control over the player for 4-5 years and you arent paying them anything in their prime football years. does that outweigh having an expensive, short-term contract but them being a known commodity (who is also getting older)? That is the question for each potential trade I guess
I’ve been saying this for years. Proven solid vet vs a third rounder?! How many third rounder’s make the team? Or play practice squad for 3 years b4 getting their shot? Crazy to me
Here is the other part of that analytic analogy to base ball! 10 at bats, you hope to be Tony Gwynn and hit about .400! The quiet part not mentioned is that each one of those 10 at bats yields an inexpensive contract! In 2-5 years, (depending on draft position) a larger contract of various degrees based upon performance will become inevitable! The Bills are still paying Diggs 33 million dollars not to play in Buffalo, but the draft capital and the less expensive contracts that come along with the trade, and Diggs contract off the books next season create more opportunities for the Bills. The Browns are in the same boat. They've already given Cooper most of the money in his contract, the Bills absorb 800k for the rest of the season. The Browns get another at bat, and a chance at landing a player as good, if not eventually better on a much smaller contract. Heck, even the Texans reworked their end of the Diggs deal, so he can ball out this year amd see what the market dictates. They're just not going to pay for it. Cooper is in the exact same place. I say good for the players! Get what you can get. Teams that need a guy to help push their up and coming club over the edge will pay both of them next year! And the more established teams, (big QB deals, Cleveland and possibly Miami are screwed) will be trying to get as many picks, aka at bats as they can to supplement those high end 20% of the cap space players. When one player takes up 20% of your roster, 20% of your roster has to be on low end contracts! That's why draft capital is so very important in the modern salary cap era. IMO of course. Just a man that understands business and is life ling fan of the Bills! Love Beane!
I mean if a team wants to give away their number 1 receiver to you for nothing you gonna take it. Especially when said team essentially paid the rest of his salary for you lol

They should send Chubb somewhere where they can use him
Lol dallas most likely but jerry do not like to spend after dak and lamb lol
Moss was a first round pick
Cooper can play decoy . And we don’t have to pay shyt . We contenders again
I hope Brandon pulls a trade for a corner back
Or Cooper ain't jiving with what ever Cleveland has going on
Go pack Go 💚💛💚💛
I mean if a team wants to give away their number 1 receiver to you for nothing you gonna take it. Especially when said team essentially paid the rest of his salary for you lol
1:18 he called Josh….. Brady…and he sounds tipsy just saying lol
Just realized my settings were on .75 speed lol that’s why he sounded weird lmaoo but he did say Brady though
He's referencing their OC Joe Brady who calls their passing plays
Randy Moss drafted in the 4th round??? lol. He drafted 21st in the first round.
We got stefon diggs without the fuckery GO BILLS
Allen and nico collins and vea from the bucs and you have a superbowl😅
@michaelroelant7134 no views I feel for you
Browns are a dumpster fire let's be real
Browns gonna lose garret and chubb too wait and see😂
Get Myles garret and and Chubb out of that org
Remember they traded with the chiefs and chiefs got Xavier worthy
Dammitboy 🔥🔥🔥
I’m calling him Brandon Beans for no on
He looks way too proud of himself for fielding a team that will forever come up short to the Chiefs.
You don’t see these kind of moves or this kind of perspective in Pittsburgh. Not even for almost 2 decades with Big Ben. Nope, how many great players did they send packing after the Bus/Heinz Ward era? And the local media I guess does their job trashing those athletes on their way out the door. The narratives being, selfishness or “marijuana “ that’s a good one, money issues, not a team player, etc… They just didn’t do everything they could to go all in while having the franchise QB. And there is no conversation to have regarding the pittsburgh pirates . Other than the owner
IS A LITERAL PIRATE.
Cause they traded Diggs , couldn’t trade for Davante , didn’t get much out of Keon except laughs and there was no one else.
because they just realized their wrs suck without diggs, and they couldn't afford adams, so they panicked. they traded for cooper out of spite and jealousy.
