September 28th. Daylight... The monsters have overtaken the city. Somehow... I'm still alive...
This third entry in the Resident Evil series follows Jill Valentine as she tries to escape Raccoon City. In addition to the hordes of zombies, she must also avoid a bio-organic weapon called the Nemesis, created by the evil Umbrella Corporation to hunt down and kill the remaining S.T.A.R.S. team members for being witnesses of their unethical and illegal experiments in the first game (tasvideos.org/1876M). - Ігри

@@Hiroyashy I was just thinking about this now! A fast zombie sprinting towards Jill with no time to stop, but takes 4 seconds to open the door with ease 😂
Love how half the video is just door/stair transitions
Are there any mods that take those out? It would be interesting to see how the game flowed with instant transitions.

I remember when i was a kid i somehow got a hold of a demo disk for this game. It scared the hell out of me lol

7:52 When i was little, this part made me quit the game out of fear, then after 3 months i tried playing it again but the game was broken, filled with weird letters and graphical glitches, and that scared me more, i thought that it had a virus and uninstalled the thing.
Now i tried playing it on the Gamecube and i'm lost af, had no troubles with the first 2 games.
So basically, this is a game about the only girl in the city being asked to go out by many dudes, and all she can do is run away.

When my first time playing it when i was child around here 13:41 It took me around 2 weeks to reach it, now i see it wasn't that hard to reach there XD

Me acuerdo la primeras veces que tuve este juego a los 11 años, directamente ni lo jugaba jaja, lo veía a mi hermano jugar siempre, hasta hace unos años había pasado solamente el 4 pero me decidí a pasar todos los anteriores desde el 0 , 1 ,2 y 3 y el code veronica, muy buenos juegos todos , su historia me gusta bastante. Y si, sin Némesis no sería lo mismo este juego.

This is a Tool Assisted Speedrun. Most notably it uses savestates and slowdown to create “optimal” gameplay

@@ronny1979tube TASes are basically programmable gameplay. With extensive use of software, you can eliminate randomness and make everything go your way. For example, the 4-digit combination to the safe at the police station. Usually, you'd have to find out the combination or guess the number (there's only four combinations possible). In a TAS, you can just look it up with a memory editor and open the safe at your first try. You can also make the gameplay go frame-by-frame in order to never get hit by anything.
@@ronny1979tube Time in games is measures in "frames". Every frame, the game program updates the world. Slowdown usually means being able to manually advance frames so that you can make perfectly precise actions.
Since the other comment brought up RNG I'd like to clarify that as well. Games cannot be truly random. Often, they use a variable based on something and use its value for calculating "random" events. That something could be anything (system clock, your character's movements, or just a cycling value that changes while you play, as examples). Some things, such as the safe in the police station, are set on file creation.

His target are the S.T.A.R.S members of Raccoon City Police Department.
Before Jill came to his sight, he was hunting down Brad Vickers (who if not mistaken flew the rescue helicopter in RE1). Once Brad was taken care off, the only remain member of S.T.A.R.S unit is Jill and it could be creepy if he goes around saying "Jill".

We've had RE4 TAS for quite some time
It's not called psx it's called ps1

The PlayStation was widely referred to as "PSX" for most of its production lifetime - "PS1" only became common after the PS2 was released. The JP PSX DVR thing never caught any traction and so there isn't really an ambiguity there most of the time.
But both these names mean PlayStation 1
