One of the things about programming is, we're not used to it. This video is very good and shows details that we (I) might miss. For example, the clock it self is a little bit slow and time isn't constant for Orbit. Like the phone or watches.... Again the video is a keeper!!!

This is so easy and intuitive compared to the old irritol I had. Also, much more reliable as the irritol would randomly shut off all the time by itself. I think irritol is meant to be "irritating" meanwhile I had Orbit up and running and tested in 5 minutes.

I have one and I've been programming it wrong! I couldn't figure out why my water bill was so high: I thought I needed to program each station... so my system was running the whole program four times every time! No wonder my lawn looked so lush in a drought! This helped me fix it! Thanks!

Great video! My dial is a little different. It has Clock and Date on the same section and a Budget setting after How Often.
I’ll have to look up my specific model to see what budget is about.
Otherwise i was able to set it perfectly. Cut down water usage tons since it used to be set to water every day twice a day.
That was nuts!

I set mine and I have 2 stations and I start them at 6:30pm and then with a run time of 15 minutes then the next one starts at 6:45pm and also with a run time of 15 minutes but when the last one ends it just repeats and keeps repeating until I turn it off
Here's what really messed up my effort to program your timer. The timer has a setting for Start Time 1, Start Time 2, Start Time 3 ..., but they don't correspond to Station1, Station 2, Station 3, .... Start Time 1 will run all stations that have a non-zero run time. Start Time 2 and 3 also run all the stations too.
Yes, Start Time 1 was running the stations, then Start Time 2 (how it got there I don't know) would begin. Trying to Clear it. Hope successful! Also, no idea how to program B. the manual that came with the timer (and the house we just bought) was not well written. Can't find the manual online either. I'd like to talk to whomever wrote the manual and give them some advice! The video was more helpful than the manual but did not answer all the questions I have nor eliminate all confusion. I have to turn the darn thing OFF so as not to overwater.
Is there any way to set this up to run only station 2? Station 1 is my front yard. Station 2 is my backyard. I only need station 2 to run 3 times/day but I can’t figure it out.
I have this setup and was able to program it fine after I moved in but what is weird is I did not setup program B yet something is running because when the sprinklers go off they stop then they start again shortly after. Can it just be a malfunction or a programming issue? My husband said he reset it but now I am going to try again before I give up.

Okay so I need help. Thought this tutorial would help me but I have the first time set for five am and it never shuts off even though I set it for 7 minutes for each zone. Basically once it turns on it never turns off. Do I have a programming problem or an electrical problem?

Hi, in "How often" function can I set auto watering every 4 hours? that's meaning 6 watering times everyday
Phuong Le On the model used in the video there are 4 start times. They can be set with the dial in the "start time' position and use the left/righr arrow keys to set each start time.
is there a way to override this and just turn it on manually when you want them on?
Would have been nice to see the manual setting which is what I can't get to work.

This is the only way to run manual programs on this timer. It is possible to open valves by hand (depends on the valve). Usually this is done by turning the solenoid slightly.
I realize now that this waters a single station once a day if it's set that way. That's what I guess but please feel free to correct me. I set all station to go off at 3 pm today. It's 258 pm as of writing this. We shall see if this resolves my issues.
Edit: It doesn't work. And the time lags. There was a 7 minute lag time from when I set the time/date. Like I set the time to be 1200pm and let it run. I come back at 1210 and its reading 1207. And I already replaced the battery so that isnt it. Yes its plugged. My system is faulty.

you have to put the correct date in the "Set Date" part
I thought something was wrong with my sprinklers and come to find out I was programming it wrong so this video did help however now I notice my sprinklers only seem to work when I turn them on manually HELP!!!!!

@@sbrinchman2077 Orbit Sprinkler System technician was absolutely correct..I had multiple start times within cycle "A"..Battery was changed and multiple cycles within cycle A were omitted and system has worked correctly now for over a year! Good luck!

Hello, these timers use a CR2023 for the battery. Note this batter is only for backup in case of power outage and does not run the timer.
I need the picture showing which hook up for A and B
HELP! I just programmed the timer for my friend; it was fairly easy to do. However, the timer keeps reverting back to the initial 'factory' settings after just a few minutes. I reprogrammed the controller a few times again and somehow it is not saving the settings. Could you please provide some feedback or troubleshooting information? Thank you!

@@orbitsprinklers I was unclear with the manual AND the video if after each setting selected, does one need to press "Enter" to save it? In the video this was not always done. About half the time. Why?
I followed the instructions but I have a station that runs constantly. I can't seem to get it to shut off regardless of what program I use to shut it off - even in the OFF position. It is like it has a mind of its own. Any suggestions?
You most likely have a stuck valve for that zone. There are many videos on how to fix a stuck valve.

Hello I followed all the steps but it seems like my sprinklers aren't doing what they are supposed to I scheduled programs A & B all 4 stations for each one at 4:30am and it doesn't do anything is it because they are all programmed exactly the same?

Having same issue., can’t get it to flow. If valve open the continuously waters. Flooded neighbor yard due to issue. Customer service doesn’t answer. May have to try main office?

I set mine for 7am program A stations 1&2 and 7pm program B same stations as 1&2. 7am works every morning but 7pm doesn’t why??

No, this is not possible with any of our timers. You can only have one zone on at a time.

When programming any of the parts of your timer (start time, run time, how often) you can press the A-B button at the bottom left and that will toggle between schedules A & B.

Spent an hour trying to make it work.....it wasnt connected to power
You never show how to set the A B so it is only A, I am having a hard time getting it to stay on A only. Also you sometimes push enter and sometimes you don't without saying anything about it. It is confusing. I have watched this video numerous times and have set my sprinklers by this video 3 times now and they keep coming on twice, They complete the cycle of the 5 stations twice through. I have noticed it the and shut it off before it got through the second cycle so I don't know if it would just keep repeating running through more than twice.

I honestly don't know why the company put that feature in I don't use it if I know it's going to rain I turn it to off and then on when it's not raining it's a stupid feature the company put it on the device.😅
The constant flashing between the time of day and the next watering drives me NUTS!!! MY old one didn't do that. I hate this new unit.

No matter how many times I watch these videos I get more confused every time! I find I have to go out and punch buttons on a Random basis to get this stupid system to do anything! It's just a matter of luck if I can get this thing to work. I find this whole system extremely complicated and Extremely difficult to use. They don't tell you that sometimes you have to punch buttons twice or individually in between setting a function, and also they don't tell you that its a matter of sequencing to get this thing to function. If a button ids not pushed at an exact time and several times and before an after each station, it just won't work. As I've said its a matter of pushing buttons at random and hoping for the best with this STUPID system!

Same here. It is VERY hard to change the watering time and this video does not address that. If I punch enough buttons I might stumble onto something.

I did not watch the vidio as the easy step guide was easy to follow and set up the timer to come on twice daily. Every thing was working as advertised.
This was no help right off the bat since my unit, although nearly identical to the one in the video, the time/date function is combined on one selection and for the life of me I can't set the time. Oh well.
Set the time first and then keep scrolling through using the right direction arrow. You should then find that year month and date show up.
I program this piece of shit and it still says the next watering cycle will be Friday
The instructions make things even more complicated. The demonstration was not consistent when to press enter. Instructions are not clear when to use A_B or if I need to. Attempting to talk with a technician is just as confusing. I waited 92 minutes the first time and 47 minutes the second and the success was around 2. Orbit should remove EASY - it isn't. Possibly Rainbird will be a better solution.
hambone moerke I tried to contact them twice: once from toll free and other long disatance. Spent 30 minutes on hold and no answer for either line. I complained online. It said I didn’t meet all requirements. Arggg. Any help on getting this to work. I hear beats but no water flow. I turned valve on from outside but then it is flowing water directly to sprinkler but not timer. I have wiring to line 2 but unsure ifcto check cellanoid or rain bird valve . Could I use this with rain bird valve? I also had spliced line from cellanoid to this unit. Line 2 and com connected. Not releasing water. Any help is appreciated.
Let me say this.. there is nothing easy about this piece of trash. It is the most useless machine I've used when it comes to simple watering. The manual mode should be simple, I just wanna sit down with a cold one and look at the water go yet it continues to turno off before the timed limit. F orbit.
