I love that you included the clip of that SNL game show skit, pure gold. Also, great video man! I'm gonna order the entire Lord of the Rings card game right now.
Monday nights are LCG night. Three of us were battling out the final senerio of the Fellowship of the Ring. Lost terribly. Had amazing fun. It was great to find your video tonight after that session.
Great to see LOTR LCG content still being made. Your card reviews are super helpful since I’m an idiot and can’t make sense of the card text half the time. Any plans for saga expansion card reviews or play throughs?
I would love to cover everything eventually, right now I’m deciding what’s next for after I’m done with the retrospective. Options are probably start the sagas, do the started decks, or keep going with the original cycles. Play throughs would be a whole new style of video so those would be further off. Part of me wants to make unofficial narration for some scenarios
None of the game shops in my area have LOTR LCG communities. Last one I asked replied, “Oh, that’s pretty niche.” I guess I’ll be playing solo for a while.
Do you know about DragnCards? Seastan made a very friendly online version, and then you only need electronic friends not real ones 😂 Seriously, it is really neat, check it out!
Love the concept, have the core set, no-one to play it with. Waiting for my Pokemon TCG playing son to get a bit older 😁 Great vid and greetings from the UK 👍
My first intro to spiritual island was a full on being quarterbacked by the person showing me the game, it is painful to see that box in a video or on a table. The only games that truly don’t suffer from QB’ing are probably solo games. After watching your explanation for lotr I better understand why people disagree on these games. Some people are actually fine with the rinse and repeat nature of games and lotr lcg and Arkham horror lcg both greatly suffer from rinse and repeat particularly with assignment of villains and the nature of a game round. Great video, disagree on the greatest card game, but I dig ur enthusiasm for it. I wanted to love it but the commit to the quest was the worst component. It may be that the only way to prevent qb in a game is to not allow info sharing and the only way to keep it spicy is to ensure asymmetric play for the players. I have high hopes for war of the ring the card game.
Yeah ultimately I think there are trade-offs to every aspect of games like this and it comes down to how much each facet matters to you. There are times when LOTR LCG is repetitive or anticlimactic, but I don’t know of a game that simultaneously reduces that without making too big of a sacrifice in another area of the game. Thanks for watching and for the props on the video!
I adore this series... please keep it up!

That’s awesome, always happy to inspire others to dive in! Thanks for watching!

Great two parter - now for the next :D
Coming soon!
Man i love Lotr LCG
I love this series. Looking forward to the next instalment!
Thank you, glad you enjoy it!
Great video and looking forward to part 3. I've been around LOTR:TCG since 2011 and still think it's one of my all-time top 5 games.

Thanks for part 2! Great video
Thanks! Time for me to work on part 3!
Never played LOTR in coop. Always Solo. Your video made me realize that... I should make friends.
I mean, technically you could do coop with friend, singular

Hopefully Pokemon TCG is a natural transition with the deck construction skill set, thanks for tuning in from across the pond!
Great video man… congrats

I really like these videos. Wish the music didn’t play the entire time. It’s distracting.
Noted, got some of that feedback before
