You know a battle theme theme rocks when it even sounds like a *BOSS BATTLE THEME.* \o/

Personally one of my favorite normal battle themes is exactly the opposite, it sounds like a jazzy dance rather than a battle ( ua-cam.com/video/Um5EbReY7rA/v-deo.html ). But it fits the atmosphere of the game it's in. I can't imagine an FF game with a battle theme that _doesn't_ sound like the world is ending.
Hell yeah! Always thought that about this theme, that breakdown really gives a sense of urgency!
@@McCaroni_Sup I really like that theme too, either I like my battle themes to sound urgent and dire as in FFVI theme, epic and grandiose as in the shiva theme from Final Fantasy XIV (ua-cam.com/video/4xujzZw9kqM/v-deo.html) or whimsical, jazzy and dancy as in the one you linked. Different styles suit different bosses :D but definitly can't immerse myself fully without a battle theme!

This is a perfect recreation of the song and probably sounds exactly as the original composer intended it to. But in my mind I've imagined a Ska sort of punk rock sound to it. It would be cool to make a remix like that

Pepemarcaacme I’d like to see FF7R on Xbox One X when it gets ported next year. It looked ass on PS4 Pro with those ugly textures. Hoping the Xbox and PC versions look so much better.

6 is my favorite game in general, and 9 is really good as well. 4 is classic, but hasn’t aged the best. 7 is good, but a little overrated.
FF6 through 10 are all masterpieces. You should start with any of them, probably 7 just cause you played Remake.

this is the kind of battle music the newer FF games lack
No one will ever quite get this same vibe in their compositions as Nobou Uematsu, he's a legend. Although Masayoshi Soken does a really great job too as lead composer for XIV. Hopefully one day they will re-do this theme for XIV like they have many of the other classic FF songs.

Really awesome remaster! It's not by chance used in one of the FFVI PC version mods that's out there? I've been playing a modded version with remastered audio like this and I'm sure this is the version they are using for the mod! Really takes the game to another level for me! Thanks for this!

Only thing I'd criticize here is the strings at 0:42 . They have a bit too much attack and it feels like they lag behind the beat a fair bit. Other than that, it sounds wonderful!

So did you decide to go with the SNES version or GBA version when remastering this? Because the trumpets sound like SNES and the guitar and violin sounds like GBA
Soraroxas 84 GBA, I guess) The only change I noticed in the port version (aside from different samples, obviously) is that the guitar was transposed octave lower and divided into two tracks - one panned to the left and one panned to the right.
