  • Tomoko Matsuo is an assistant professor in Aerospace Engineering Sciences. Her research areas include data assimilation and inverse methods, and their applications to remote sensing and in-situ data of the atmosphere and geospace. They also include Atmospheric and space physics, spatial statistics, estimation theory and Dynamical systems theory. She received a CAREER award from the National Science Foundation for her work on the predictability of the atmosphere from the ground to near-Earth space in 2019.
