You forgetting the most importaned fact about Orks in 40k.
Orks Reproduce Like Mushrooms. So if a Ork Dies his Seeds fly of cross with other Ork Seeds and form a new Mushroom cononlie were Orkoloids grew.
So fighting and all "Mass Death" Sports are nothing else as Sex for Orks.
And if you keep that in mind while analyse Ork Social live everything makes sense.

+Rose BPOS On the first count, mushrooms are fungi, not plants. That aside, Orks are all about survival of the fittest, and frankly enjoy injuring each other. An ork that can't survive a little fire "ain't no proppa ork."

MpowerdAPE yeah like Mang said it can be like a drug but it's fun. When I got into my 2nd army (Orkz) I easily spend about $1,500+ on my army and that was a majority used models. I would of spent over twice as much if I got it all new.

I’ve been wanting to see someone do up an Ork Doof Warrior Battlewagon with industrial vents used as amplifiers and a flame thrower guitar.
They are indeed the Mad Max's of the 40K realm of time & space without one friggin doubt, however these unruly, numbskullish & highly undisciplined green space hooligans carry out violence to a new level of religion for them as a Zeno race that's not representive to all of us here & beyond UC. ☝️👽👎

Orc bike races sound pretty fun to watch.
The concept of beligerant hypertrophied sentient mushrooms putting the galaxy at risk is just too funny. It's the only 40k race that has kept that kind of over-the-top absurdity from the Rogue Trader era without covering up or throwing it away completely for a more "serious" approach.
Had to say thank you to you guys for getting me back I to warhammer 40k. I never played the tabletop. I read the books and played the games. Because of your channel I have gotten back into reading the books. I am an avid ww2 armor model painter and I would love to take a crack at these guys.
I love da Orkz, Got introduced through dawn of war 2 years ago but have always loved them. My favourite memory is when a stormboy has a death animation and just flies off somewhere and explodes randomly while taking out a bunch of enemy ork boyz!

You know? Orks are the happiest species in Warhammer 40K. They don't have strict rules or goals. They only live for the next fight and to go down in flaming glory.
Whaaaag! For warhammer 40k I feel that it's easy to have ties to what your favorite race is. For me I love everything about orks, they are goofy. On the game Space Marine there is an ork warboss by the name Grimskull, he's one of my favorite characters in 40k and is really a great example of the goofiness and war loving that is the orks. As for what they are tied with for me would be Necrons and the Iron Hands.
Always loved the idea of the Ork army, a green tide burning and killing everything. Never quite got into the tabletop despite friends insisting.

I love how he keeps the same voice all throughout the entire video, giving facts to us constantly, and at 6:48 he says 'puré the little shit' in the same voice without any sort of emphasis xD
One of the most fascinating things about Orks to me is how varied their lives are. Some canon examples: GorkaMorka is run by big Meks and has a culture of merchentilism and artisanship. There is a gang of freebootaz making a living looting worlds atacked by Tyranids. There are Ork forts, factories and entire slum cities.
Orks were the first army I wanted to play with. I still have a couple of ork boys painted.
I really like the idea of sprinkling in a little bit of lore embellishment here or there. Its great.
It's nice to see that Ork boys enjoy a little bit of the good ol' ultra-violence as well.
Orks hold regular pit and cage fighting bouts with grots taking bets. They enjoy a closed ecology with the variable "squig" organisms that seem to appear everywhere orks can be found as an offshoot to their part fungal biology. This means Orks require nothing from the surrounding environment to thrive after a short time span. Orks create dung- squigs eat dung- orks eat squigs. Squigs haunt ork community toilets they call "da Drops" as they are usually just a large pit and occasionally a larger squig will eat an ork answering the call of nature. In this way, even relieving themselves becomes a potentially fun fight! Orks sometimes play games with "facebiter" squigs where, with his arms tied behind his back, an ork will try to eat the facebiter before it eats his face in exchange for teef, grog (fungus beer) food or gear. Some orks gravitate towards one of the "specialist" mobs that fulfill niche roles in ork culture and battlefield tactics. Burna boyz in particular are highly valued for their ability to cut and shape scrap metals using their adjustable nozzled burnas. Mekboyz employ these pyromaniacs to assist in cutting and shaping metal for large projects and the local warboss looks the other way when they set the occasional building ablaze if/when they get bored.
I could go on :) Orks have been my favourite race in 40k for a decade and remain my preferred army in the tabletop game
now that I have a little back history on them I'm happy to see I landed really close on how I want to build this custom albino ork bagger grimbore. only down side I have no idea how to do so aside countless hours of work with a 3d printer.

I'm not sure far back that you've gone with the Ork books but WAAARGH the Orks! from the Rogue Trader era is a fantasic resource for any ork player; even going into detail about how Ghazghkull and Grotsnik came to be from the creators own rogue trader games.!
I imagine an ork making bets that the other orks cant beat necrons to death with their own foot. He would be the richest of orcs!

I haven't read much about Orks, but from this video I can see how brutal they are, even to their fellow warriors and that seems really funny to me. I should probably get further into their fluff.

Of cause it only makes sense if you know that any dead ork is also lunch and that anything left over seeds the ground with ork spores that grow into more snotlings, Gretchin or If its a particular well fed spore patch out pops a new ork. That makes killing orks off in an area really hard. They pop out of the ground like angry mushrooms.
Yeah I can confirm the "start collecting" set for Orks is worth the £50 it costs. I bought it last summer because my friends were always talking about 40K and now I love it!
You forgot to mention that in these scuffles in an unofficial initiation their bleeding which is making more orks
one can only imagine the frightful empire the orks could assemble if they would stop fighting each other and focus on real issues
I got into game as Blackreach was recent.. haven't assembled a single stock model ever.. blackreach dreadnought was immediately converted into Killa Kan :D

Hey guys I've been watching your lore videos for a long while now and I have finally ordered a box set. First strike, I have been telling my circle of friends about 40k and I think this is a good first step. Keep putting out great videos, I personally love it, listen every day at work.
I was just noticing the other day that I don't have any Orks in my collection, and I love the Orks! This box set would be perfect for me, so I hope I win! Thanks for all of your great videos, as well- they're perfect to watch/listen to while I paint.
I like it how orks are heavily based on British football hooligans. Right down to the mobs. I also found out that i am using the ork cockney accent for orcs that are outside of the warhammer universe. All in all orks are the most fun race, maybe not the best race but definitly the most fun race.
Interesting stuff! The thought of Orks even being outside of a battle in the first place is such an alien concept for me!

Also, Deff Dreads are pretty good now. I imagine the Deathskull loot markets are also a great outlets for making teef, but thats usually after battle, not outside of it.

I actually got into WH40k though the novels, the first book i read was The Space Wolves Omnibus. If you ever have a Space Wolves set up for grabs keep me in mind.
I like that Orks have different cultures dependent on what situation they find themselves in.
[BLOOD AXES] Orks surrounded by powerful enemies: tend to more sneaky (commando tactics & camo), plan their attacks better, and use hit n run (rocket boys). The only evidence that they were involved are their blood stained choppies, thus the name {blood axes}. If Orks weren’t so loud, noisy and smelly they would be very difficult to detect because they register as plants on scanners.
[BAD MOON] Space Orks: Space charts have the name BAD for areas infested by ork pirates, allow space orks can have bases in planetary rings or asteroid fields the most common are small moons, thus the name [BAD MOON]. Low gravity causes their skeletons to weaken and their teeth to grow faster than any other ork making them rich enough to afford custom suites of power and mega armours.
[EVIL SUN] Beneath the smog of a Mech boy city Orks never see the sun. The [evil sun] Ork Clan have the means to produce a lot more bikes, buggies and trucks than any other clan.
[DEATH SKULLS] Orks beaten in battle or who have won at great loss retreat home with lots of loot, injuries & skulls. The blue skin is an immune response to the wrong part reattached to the wrong Ork. [death skulls] are well known for looted weapons, mad docs and bionic boys.
[GOFF] Orks in an ork empire at the height of its power: Given the name [Goff] because of the major Ork Waaa in the Armageddon wars around the Gothic sector. There black and white checker clothing patterns help break up the outline of any one Ork in the charging horde.
[SNAKE BITES] When orks first settle a planet they carefully identify all the poisonous plants and animals, and then cultivate the ork fungus and squig ecosystem that they relay on. [snake bites] are known for Squig goths, runt herders, beast masters, clockwork flintlock Gatling blunderbusses. Human genetically enhanced pigs eat more ork embryos killing a hundred times more orks than the entire imperial war machine, the high lords of Tera view this as an old agra world framers’ tale, the orks hunt down the pigs and turn them into cybor bikes.
[CHAOS ORKS] Orks don’t follow the chaos gods they have their own, but this does not stop the traitor legions growing them in huge vats, filled with nutrients [usually the rotting remains of sacrificial victims] and a cocktail of ork growth hormones. To keep them in line a liquidiser blade mechanism is lobotomized into their brain at birth, but this is usually not enough so a massive ork known as a warmonger is grown. The traitor legions usually drop them off to cause trouble and pin down imperial armies away from their true objectives.

Question: All the demonprimarchs have special powers now, from their respective gods. Mortarion is the capo of decay, fulgrim is the non plus ultra torturer, angron is a rage beast and magnus was a strong psyker and now he is a very strong sorcerer, maybe the strongest. What powers did the demon primarchs undivided get? perturabo and lorgar? little bit of everything? nothing at all? 2nd question: if the night haunter would have lived through the heresy, wich chaos god would have taken him in?

I like orks, they are super stabby and shooty. I do play T'au, but orks look fun and I like the idea of modding over races tanks and planes into junk planes for the boyz XD
