Hi. I've enjoyed your content. My wife and I are now retired. We set up our portfolio to live off dividends but have had to re-consider and implement some modifications. You see, poor us (sorry) make too much money. Taxes eat us up as they will anyone earning option income and non-qualified dividend income (Both taxed as ordinary income.) Our income has pushed us into paying over 8k more in Medicare, and 3.8% in Investment tax. (plus the regular rates which are scheduled to increase again in 2026.) We modified our income by limiting the dividends to just below the higher tax thresholds. We then invest in high-quality, low-dividend stocks and funds, and sell for capital gains or borrow against them (Buy, borrow, die strategy) if any more money is needed.
Understand! Now that my strategies are kicking into overdrive I’m rebalancing a bit myself to maximize everything to the highest level of efficiency. I never imagined my options income could get so high. I hear you and thanks for the comment so everyone can see it! Cheers 💎✨
One thing worth thinking about is trading options to juice the income rather than maximizing your dollars. That should result in much lower deltas and dramatically reducing the likelihood of assignment. At least that is my grand plan when I get to retirement. I have been working through various strategies the past couple years and am still experimenting. I love that aspect of your channel
What do you think of SLRC stock? Seems too have a good dividend payout. Also do you not prefer too invest in the automotive stocks? If so why? (If you don’t mind me asking)
Why haven't dividends increased year over year? What about the value of all the shares at that time? It would be interesting if you provided all these parameters always. Another impression is that dividend income may be increasing, but the value of shares is decreasing. Regards :-)
Hi there 👋 good questions! The dividends have stayed flat/small increase because 1) I’ve been using them to live on, 2) I have been rotating my mix and holdings significantly in the last 90 days 3) freeing up cash for options and 4) freeing up cash for a life debt (divorce). Now that is over, I’ll be rebuilding steadily with my rebalance and able to control costs more. I’ll be doing a full portfolio review soon to show my new mix and rebalance that helps to optimize both dividends and options to the absolute max while staying relatively conservative from a risk standpoint. Cheers 💃
@@thedividenddream I understand, thank you for your answer. I watch your progress and learn from your actions too. We are waiting for more videos! Have a nice Sunday, greetings from Poland :-)
Welcome back Dream.. Glad to see your video drop.... I hope you got some rest on vacation even with all of those other activities you dealt with.... Keep up the great work you are doing on your portfolio(s)... Please be well....
Funny how our numbers are so close. I’m at $111,338K YTD. $27K in May. Best month yet trading options. I’ve been looking into the buy, borrow, die strategy. Wondering what your take on that would be?
$300K from dividends and options is nuts! Can't wait to see you break the barrier 🛸
It is nuts. I really had no idea. 😳 gonna keep going and aim for greatness 💎✨🤩

Been exploring BBD myself. How are the higher interest rates affecting this strategy?
Love it. $8K and you were not fully engaged. You are truly an inspiration
lol 🤣 I barely touched the keys, it was almost zero work. But then again, I got assigned more… 🤔

AHHHHMAZING results Dream! Are you still doing weekly options? Or have u ventured out to weekly/monthly options yet?
Hit there 👋 yes I’m mostly doing weeklies, but I pepper in some 2-4 week as it makes sense.
