- Another peek and a bit of analysis on the differences between spoken Iloco in the Ilocos and Cagayan Valley regions and Iloco being used in the mountains of the Cordilleras. Do not worry guys, there are a lot of Igorots who can speak the way Ilocanos do. Considering also that people in the different areas of the Cordillera speak Ilocano of their own variant which is highly depending on their native language (the accent and the vocabularies). A highlander here. Im glad I've listened to Ilocano dramas since childhood, from the two famous AM radio stations here in our Region which made me understand the Ilocano language more.

San Fernando LU here. We speak a mixture of both lowland and highland Ilocano. Most of the nouns and verbs can be used interchangeably.
I'm from Ilocos Sur and we also have multiplicative superlatives! "MakaBISbisin-ak!"

I live in Lamut, Ifugao and I efinitely speak a mix of lowland and highland Ilocano.
2:30 no. 5 We find it difficult to understand the Ilocano in our modules because we have a lot of Pangasinan words in Ilokoy Pangasinan. We say "Tungtung" instead of "Patang" or "Kasarita". We will probably fail in our Iloko modules. 😂
My mom is from pagasinan my family speaks a mix of highlands and lowlands, some lowlands sayings we don’t use haha

Yes ilocanos from different provinces have their own accent...ilocano from ilocos norte similarly to ilocanos of La Union...medyo malumanay while ilocanos from Sur are matigas bumigkas pangasinan,Nueva Ecija,Nueva Vizcaya,Isabela,Quirino and Cagayan have their own accent too
From Badoc and Pinili, Ilocos Norte but speaks mix of the two. 😅😂
Aparri ,Cagayan Ilocano more on highland Ilocano version but were on the lowlands..
FYi Ilocanos from Tarlac only use ata, atoy, ajay..
the rest of Ilocanos and majority use dayta, didjay.

Born and raised in Hawaii, my parents are from ilocos sur. After watching your vid I’m confuse! I don’t speak fluent or understand fluent ilocano however, some of the lowlander words that I thought I knew as lowlander Ilocanos is being said by Highlanders is this video???

Nakaay-ayat man! Barbaro kaniak diay sao nga "kumalab" hahaha. I was smiling the whole time while Im listening. Ngem diay naapgad=napait 🤔I was like "seryoso?". We also use some other terms like fix=tarimaan, simpa; nabangsit=nabuyok.
Why in PIAT CAGAYAN., They also used both of highland and lowland language/dialect??? Mixed words.
