@@FDGSTAGES That's what I thought. I am an amateur history buff but I can never organize a well coordinated presentation like what you have been doing.
Good to know. I have to admit this isn't easy. I spent two months in research alone. Then I had to put them together in one piece for three weeks. Continue your path my friend, that is amazing!
I'm from Indonesia, I'm proud to be part of Austronesian even though western nations despise the dark culture of our past, we're still united Austronesian family 🇮🇩🇲🇾🇵🇭🇸🇬🇧🇳🇹🇼
I come from the Dayak Iban tribe of Borneo. I would say we share a bit of similarity with the Igorot, some similarities with the Naga (particularly our 'obsession' with hornbills) and a LOT of similarities with the T'boli of Mindanao. I watched a video called 'Tribal Sounds of the Philippines-T' Boli' and was stunned to see how similar Dayaks and T'boli are in terms of song, musical instruments, dance and costume. For example, in Iban culture we have an instrument called 'engkeromong' which is made up of small gongs arranged like a xylophone. T'boli has that too!

Greetings Sir, The Nagas have face huge wave of war, violence tears blood sweat etc from the Indians to wipe out our race in recent hundred years... We have stood strong and fearless as our Nagas ideology and Struggle for freedom and independence which secure us statehood yet with the evil plans of dividing us in the many states of northeast india.... The struggle is still On, and the situation at the present time is crucial, the Naga Nationalist is Feared and respected as Warriors throughout NE India.... You uploading this detail video research is a huge contribution.. we were still on standstill where are tribe came from, because it's a very huge number of people and unique culture and it cannot be a mere coincidence.. "You're Brother" Nagalim
Naga people probably one of those "Hundred Yue" in english "Hundred Barbarian" in chinese history.. Naga people probably flee to Northern India during pre han chinese conquest in Southern China. that' why some ancient people in Southern China found in Northern India, Taiwan and Philippines.. there're many indigenous people in the Philippines similar culture with Igorot such as Manobo and Mandaya people in Mindanao Region.. and there're a lot of indigenous group here in Mindanao Region with similar culture with Igorot.
@@ColoniaMurder20Yeah, for the whole race of Thw world... the course of history has been ever shifting and changing.. The reports and studies were made outside people, so we don't know whether it's facts or political power play of separation and ownership... After all the storyline are written by people who wish winning at Time... But I Guesa its Not fleeing to Northern India, it's North East india.. From the North of India we gota Cross Himalayas to reach India Brother... On the other hand It's not Even India in fact, for thousand years and centuries the Indian Ruler didnt conquer or had no power in the Naga region. In the later medival periods some Kings reached Assam but was unable to go further east than that.. Even the great Mughal at its peak tried to Conquer North east but with the Ahoms Combined force with Headhunter tribes fought and defeated more than 10 times.. This Nagaland Mizo huge part of manipur and Arunachal was never a part of Bharat or India, in culture nor traditions, nor looks nor customa nor history.. it was completely a different Land...Nowhere in Indian history they mention The hills of northeast, cus they didn't have Administrative or economic control over there... After thousands of Living as Autonomous and independent People, the British Empire Came and Developed the region with academic education Christianity , modern lifestyles and the art of Trading... Even the British didn't Colonized Nagas but rather approach and maintained a friendly Relationship.. Some Campaigns happend here and there due to Raids and loots by Nagas. Soo the World war 1 started in foreign lands, and many naga Warriors was enrolled in the Allied forces Assisting in war in France. These surviving Warriors and soldiers after seeing the world in picture like never Before and understood about the World outside the Hills of Naga Realm came back to Nagaland with Gathered knowledge about the mechanism of the World; it will be indeed astonishing and overwhelming for a Group of Nagas whose ancestors and themselves have lived their whole lives in the Hills among headhunters totally disconnected for the Outside world life and technology; and suddenly they are shifted to France where the Civilization was was beyond their Understanding. They saw weapons of great power, in their view which only God could possess, they experienced buzzing physical and Moral structure of society that was way ahead of their time. They also witness the greatest war in history of that time like never before, In their homeland Arrows and bows and spears machete was weapons of Warfare that could Kill people but here they witness Battle at completely different level, a war that could even wipe humanity from the Surface of this Planet Earth. They came back to their Homeland rejoicing victory yet with the horrors of war in the back of their Minds and what it can do. These Warriors came together to Unite the Whole Nagas and Tribes as they knew what happened in France could also happen in their homeland One-day. With Gathered knowledge of politics, ideologies and seeing how nations grow Strength thes group of Warriors became The First Naga nationalist to grow in strength and power and be ready in Case if one day such fate comes face to face with our destiny. Even at this time, India was Totally out of picture in context with Nagas. Then Soon, what the Nation list feared about the Prophecy, the Greatest war of all time Fell upon the Innocent Nagas. It was an outside conflict and Naga had no involvement on it, they were going about their daily lives and Suddenly the World war was in Nagaland. Most Nagas haven't even seen an automatic Rifle that time, and out of nowhere, they saw war planes, shells and bombs dropping, 100 thousands of armed soldiers, tanks etc etc. Just some few days back, it was a peaceful life in Beautiful Hills and now, it was a Nightmare, such that no one knew when they would see a quite and serene morning again. Even at such times, the nagas volunteered and fought bravely protecting their Motherland, family and loved ones. With God's grace the War of Wars WW2 came to an end, in their own Naga soil. Then the British empire gave Nagas Independent Power of Administration. Everyone was happy and Glad that the dust has finally settled down and now better days was ahead. They didn't know worst reality was about to Unfold. This is where the Indians Step in. They also got their Independence from the Britsh empire. Indian govt then Unleash war ,torture, killings, rapes etc for dacades the most unethical and inhuman act( research and read the decades of Deeds of Indian army and Govt towardsthe Nagas(, just to claim the lands. The Nagas still stood strong to protect the Motherland, culture and love ones. But sadly the People of Nagalim was divided through fake borders In the later 20th century, after all the efforts by Indian Army and govt. To eradicate the Nagas, they didn't succeed to suppress the Voices of the people and came to an agreement which still state that Nagaland as an Autonomous place with its customs and cultures intact. Naga Nationalist are known as the Mother on insurgency and longest running Political parties of the Govt. SO THE STATEMENT "NAGAS migrated to India" is False. It was and is Nagaland from the start. It was Nagas that joined the Indian Union with terms, conditions and period, and not Nagaland being under Indian Jurisdiction from historical past. Indians came in to steal like the British did to them. The question in my head is that,"How? How can people and country who have suffered immensely Under foreign rules and invasion for centuries do the same to other Race of people... This shows they were complete evil.
I hope we come together and celebrate our rich cultures and traditions in a form of festival one day. Love from Nagaland. Wherever you are, we wish you well.
The Hmong peoples of China, Laos, Vietnam, and Thailand already do, as do the Zhuang people, who also inhabit a variety of East and se Asian nations. There is already a collective identity among all Polynesian people and that collective identity is slowly beginning to include the native people of Taiwan and surrounding geographic regions. So, it's already happening.
Yes, indeed. Naga people, Taiwan tribe, and Cordillera/Igorot meet up. Matago -tago tako amin - Long live to the Nagas, Taiwan tribe, and Igorot/Cordillera! Cheers from an Igorot Outdoorsman in the Nevada Desert, USA!🤠
I'm from North East of India, Arunachal Pradesh and belong to earlier referred to as a sub tribe of Naga called Nokte. Just like it's mentioned here we were head hunters and some villages have still preserved the human skull that were hunted as a trophy in the earlier days. The name of many villages here share the same name in Nagaland
As a Taiwanese, I can atest to the Head Hunting too. It was the biggest Fear created to your enemy tribe. When Han Chinese crossed the straits, they have to face the fearsome indiginous tribes. However, with the unlimited supply of young Chinese men looking for land to develop, indiginous Taiwanese tribes can no longer hold their grounds. I have both indiginous and Han DNA in me, just like more than 80% of current day Taiwanese.
Yes I'm a wancho tribe of Arunachal Pradesh we are also one of naga tribes we use sea shell as ornaments , shawls , we use to practice tattoos , use log drum , hornbill feathers and we grow millets rice and uses a cutted log with hole in it to remove husk(covers) of millet before we cook it and we also make fermented millet rice beer ...So according to what you have explained I think we are somewhat related ...

On the other side of the spectrum, DNA analysis done on skeletons of the ancient founders of Indus Valley civilization in India reveals that they share the same DNA with all the people of South East Asia. Most likely, they reached the islands of Sumatra in bulk where they spread out to different regions. One of those who went sailing further with their boats were the ancient Lapita people. Incidentally, the closest DNA link of the Lapita people were traced to the Ami people of Taiwan as well as the Igorots of North Luzon. That is an accurate scientific evidence that we did not came out of Taiwan, rather as colonist from the South who migrated further back in time from the Indus Valley.

Very exciting .... You are doing a great job connecting us I am from Nagaland...... Living in Florida. I think the Native Americans..... The Red Indians are also from our group.....
I've read a book called "Glimpses of Naga Legacy and culture" by Joseph S. Thong, and it highlights about nagas coming from the sea hence we have the evidence of using conch-shells, and log drums like canoes of the islanders. Although we don't know where the nagas are exactly from, I hope that in the future all of this is sorted out with more in-depth research. Thankyou for bringing this into light. Love from Nagaland❤
The Ami/Amis of Taiwan are the closest genetic relative of Filipinos. It would be good to start a movement to connect the Indigenous peoples of Taiwan and the Igorots of the Philippines and the rest of Filipinos as well.
This makes sense. In Singapore education, they learn that the second wave of migration to Southeast Asia is from southern China or Taiwan. The second wave migrants drove the first wave of migrants (from Africa) into the mountains (Aetas in the PH, Orang Asli in Malaysia and Indonesia). Those second wave migrants also secured dwelling in the mountains.
Philippines are diverse in deferent tribes in the North are the Igorots & some Filipino tribes are Micronesians or Melanesians majority are Indonesians.
My parents are Kankanaey. I've read their connection to Ami & Atayel tribes from Taiwan, their DNA shows East Asia & gave rise to Austranesian. Quite interesting to know your roots.
Looking at every episodes, it's almost undeniable to state that we are related somehow ..cheers from northeast India to all my brothers and sisters our there:)
Thanks bro. I am a Naga Sumi tribe we are living far from the sea but we use sea shell in our ornaments, we always confused why our forefathers use such shell now I believe we might have migrated near by the sea.
I'm a Naga of Lamkang tribe & I've also heard that we must have had lived near a sea in the past (possibly southern Myanmar) as we also have sea shell in our ornaments coz there's no sea on the four side of Manipur where we primarily live today.
Naga DNA need to be studied and compare with other SE asian people. We Nagas are so diverse, even among tribals we speak different dialects. The eastern Naga tribals practised head hunting even in 1980s. I personally saw it in 1990 when I was a kid. Their are some Phonetic similarly in counting numbers when I compare with Chinese, Korean and my tribal dialect. We Nagas are settled in hilly areas but we use lots of sea shells as an ornament which are not found anywhere near our inhabited area. My grandfather once told us that our ancistors came to our present place by boat, he was just narrating what his grandparents told him, and here in Nagaland we don't use boats, we only have hilly rivers where we can't use boats.
@@vevovenyo6994 May be earlier but they stopped such practices due to early exposure and arrival of education and Christianity. When I was a kid I saw fresh heads, limbs hanging on bamboo pole even in early 90s. In some chang, konyak, khiamnyungan villages you will still find caves full of skulls. Which are not found in western or central naga villages.
Thank you so much for this. It gives me a lot for goosebumps, and it almost made me cry. I hope to see you one day fulfill all your dreams and see you have millions of subscribers. There are so many Filipinos who don't even want to recognize Igorot or Aeta because they are embarrassed to accept it. Many Filipino would rather accept being part of Spanish and Fair Skin Chinese, and It's very sad. We need more people like you to spread this kind of word. I'm very proud that my ancestors were Aetas.
Hats off for your efforts in bringing up this kind of videos which hardly anyone does now. I'm too from northeast India belonging to the ChinKukiMizo tribe.
I have been so interested in the culture of the cordillerans, their dialect, their ancient origins and many more... Filipinos (including Igorots) are Austronesians (except the Aeta tribes referred to as the Afro-Filipinos). NE Indians aren't Austronesians. The similarity to the physical attributes and culture is due to the fact that Austronesians were originally from East Asia about 5,000 years ago (approx. 3,000 BCE). However, Austronesians didn't descend from the Chinese. Austronesian, Chinese (Sinnitic), Hmong Mien, and Austroasiatic people came from same grandparent(s) based on DNA testing and segmentation….

I’m from Bontoc (Bontoks is one of the Igorot tribe), Mountain Province, Philippines. I grew up in Bontoc but currently residing here in New Zealand. We can tell that there are similarities between the culture and traditions of Igorot and Maori people. We have our sacred house in Bontoks that we call “At-tor” and this is where we conduct our rituals and we sleep there as well. In Maori they call their sacred house Wharenui (They call their sacred place as Marae which includes the house Whatenui, correct me if I’m wrong). In terms of numbers, we pronounce our 1 to 10 in Bontoks 1=Esa, 2=Chuwa, 3=tulu, 4=Eppat, 5=Lima, 6=enem, 7=pitu, 8=walu, 9=sham, and 10=Sinpu-u. 1 to 10 in Maori is Tahi, Rua, Toru, Wha, Rima, Ono, Whitu, Waru, Iwa, and Tekau respectively. Half of the numbers sounds similar which is interesting. I don’t know much about the Maori language but what surprised me the most is we the Bontoks and Maori have the word “PATU” with the same meaning which means “bat” (like the baseball bat). In Bontoks Igorot tribe, Patu is the object (the bat) and when we say “pat-u-wam” it means you strike him/her. There are probably more words that with similar spelling, pronunciation and with the same meaning. Keep up the good work kailyan.
It is indeed mind boggling that we are all related, i am a Malaysian Dusun in Sabah... where our culture, language & way of life have similarity. For your info i am a retiree, just recently retired after working with the goverment for 35 years. No. Tangkhul are not naga. They are tangkhul. Claiming to be naga for political reasons. Shameless people. We the real nagas from Nagaland don't consider them as naga
@@jamesboth3785 Please don't spew your ignorance over here. The question of: Who are the Nagas, will not be determined by bigots like you, spewing hatred and ignorance in social media. Nagas are determined by their cultures, traditions, descents, lifestyles, food habits, languages and many tangible and intangible cultural heritages, and not by your bigoted opinion. If you don't know, you better be silent. Please look carefully at the traditional shawls in this video clip presented by the author, it is a shawl known as "Chon-khom", and it belongs to the Tangkhul Nagas. If Tangkhuls are not Nagas as you claim, than you are not supposed to be here.
Have you also learned about Minahasa Tribe? We’re from North Sulawesi, Indonesia. Located right below Philippines. Our Traditional ‘Kabasaran’ Attire is similiar with Dayak and Igorot. Our facial features, alao language resambles Filipinos.
Bravo FREDDIE BOY you brieflly explained a history you researched about us igorots and our counter parrts with similarities. Pls go continue sharing what you researched more.
Thanks for your thoroughly research content. Love from the state of Nagaland - North Eastern part of India, bordering with Myanmar. It is very likely that the Nagas came from the South-Eastern region of Asia. This assumption is based on the fact that there are many similarities between the Nagas and the natives of South-Asia such as the Ifugaos and Igorots of the Philippines, the Dayaks and Kayan of Borneo and the Battaks of Sumatra. These similarities can be found in the physical features, customs, material culture and general way of life. The extensive use of sea shells by the Nagas also bears testimony to the fact that they lived near the sea at a certain point of time in their history. It is probable that the Nagas migrated towards their present home from different directions after having crossed the mountains and rivers of South-Asia. Historians have established the fact that various Naga tribes belonged to different waves of immigrants. These immigrants brought with them the culture of the place from where they had migrated. As time passed, in accordance with the need and demands of their new environment, some changes took place. It appears that the present territory which comprises the State of Nagaland was uninhabited before their coming from different places, though not too far apart from each other, this probably accounts for the varieties of languages spoken by the Nagas and the slight cultural variation that exist among them. Naga tribes are scattered over a wide expanse of territory in the North-Eastern part of India. For easier administration, the British followed by the Indian Government divided all the territories inhabited by the Nagas. The end result was that some of the Nagas came to be under India while some remained under Myanmar. In India, Naga tribes are mainly found in the states of Nagaland, Manipur, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. Wish to see more of your research in the coming episode. Kuknalin!!! Kevi-u Uya!!!
Great. I appreciate your comments. The issue is diverse but interrelated. I'm from western Nagalim, at present in the North East India. There are folklore and folksong handed down by our forefathers in one of which an old man named Thembu from kasom khunao ukhrul district before conversion to Christianity used to mention all the important dispersal places in China, Burma while offerings being done to the spirits of our ancestors who had settled places ibid. That implied a good clue of their ancestral migration route. Hope we all can extract good info from it.
Wow, you seem to have done some research too. Yes, I am Bontoc - Ifugao. You mentioned Ifugaos, they seem to resemble the konyaks and another tribe of Taiwan that chew betel nuts and grisly headhunting, plus the dayak in Indonesia. Thank you for the interactions. I met one guy from Nagaland in 1986,he came to my town in Banaue, he was studying at seminary that time. I wonder how he is now.
I worked in Taiwan and adapted quickly with some natives in southern Taiwan. Some of their language is similar to ours. Their skin color is the same as ours.
I with Filipino friends visited Alisan conversing in Tagalog and an old native approached asking what tribe do we belong! We end up comparing Tagalog with his native language and most of the numbers and action words sound similar!

A tribal lover from zamboanga del norte, i also witness the rich culture of the subanen tribes which is also related to the said cultures. They also hunt animals in the forest for food with cooked upland rice. They also serve shots of fermented rice husks beer to special visitors in a special celebration like wedding and thanksgiving
I'm from Rongmei Naga tribe, whereas i recently found that there is a city called Rongmei city in Hubei province china. My elders says our ancestors migrated from China. Thank u for bringing this research.
Rongmei was born out fro. Makuilongdi like Zeme and Liangmai brothers. Rongmei name in China has no basis for arguments or originality in your assumptions. Zeliangrong are blood brothers with Liangmai as eldest brother and Rongmei as youngest. So, Zeliangrong or Rongmei per se has no connection. Our people originates from the same Makuilongdi village. Do your research
We met some Amis people in Taiwan, and they are like us. Mata = mata, lima = lima, tangis = tangis, in our Ilonggo/hiligaynon language/Indonesian language. Thanks for the additional info, I have been rooting in these connections and also became the study of my art. We have this exhibit called 'Listening to our neighboring shores' and its focus is to find and rekindle Austronesians connections.

My father grew up in Isabela, a province in northern Philippines. I heard him mentioned once that when he was kid, there was a certain time of the year where he avoids walking ahead of any male Ibanag(closely related to Igorot) because it constantly exposes the back of his neck to their eyes. I didn't understand what he meant until much much later.
This is amaizing, I was not Igorot but I have lineage in Bagobo and Waray, and grew up in Manila, sadly only speaking Tagalog. It is fascinating there is documentation about kababayans Igorots as the books did not tackle too much about their culture alongside most other ethnic minority in pur country. Mabuhay ❤ Godbless to 'ya.
I am always keen to find out who are out blood relatives, whom do we share culturally and languistically etc, and here we are on the way to finally satisfy my quest. By the way I am Naga. And please continue to do your research and share more of it. Would love to help you in whichever way you need. Thanks.
Of course, the Eastern Eurasian/Mongoloid peoples are a relatively young/new group, only splitting up 12,000 years ago when even at that time cultivation was already practiced in several parts of the world.

I have been looking for this. I am a Naga. Good study on (anthropology) the history of how migration and the traditional practices. This is good stuff. Thank you.
Very interesting. We had a Paiwan group visit doing an Exhibition of their Tribe, Culture & Language. They stayed for quite a while with us in Whaingaroa, Raglan New Zealand. Hope they come back & visit longer so we can learn more of their Culture & language, then we can visit them in return in Taiwan. Good work.
It is mentioned in our ancestral song that we people migrated from sumatra island and migrated through land and rivers and finally settled in the Indo Burma region. Also there is a history where our great great grandfather travelled through the mighty hwangzo river in a boat and got separated with younger brother. And both boats went in different direction and the younger brother is still not known about. And our great grandfather travelled to the present indo burma area!
@@FDGSTAGES Hi there, I would like to inform you that we in Malaysia has done MTDNA test and also DNA mapping for tribe in Malaysia. We found out that the modern human travel out from Africa to be exact Djibouti to SouthEast Asia Peninsular snd Sumatra. They stay there until sea level rising then disperse out to mainland until China then reach Taiwan. They stay quite a time there until they travel out from Taiwan to Borneo and other South East Asia land and island. So I guess that the migration out from Taiwan to the rest of the world did happened but at later time.
Thank you brother for enlightening us with many sources , truly appreciate your hardwork, i wish that your channel could become as successful as one could be
Very much informative video, this is really interesting and it's good to see how our Nagas people are assembled in the comments section 😀 Appreciated for the research.
I love how you made the presention very interesting and comprehensive. You are a natural story teller. I learned something too.. :) Keep it up kabsat. :)
Naga's ornaments and jewelry are made from seashells but here nowadays we can't find the original one. The original ornaments are kept hiding secret because it's expensive and they are afraid of losing. My question is how did naga's take seashells while they live in top of the mountains.
It is believed that Nagas once lived in seashore or a region that had close proximity with ocean/water bodies before the migration to their present day Myanmar and North-East India.
This is so educational. Ado ti naadal ko. I am amazed by your thorough research. Please keep sharing. You are making people closer to each other despite the distance.

Appreciated for the video...🌈 Yes undoubtedly we the Nagas, Igorots, Dayaks, Atayal etc is somewhat interrelated in one way or the other. As far as our Naga ethnic origin is concerned basing on ancient folktales & folklores than our ancestors migrated from China in unknown past and that's undeniable. Anyway more in-depth research will be required in future..
Thank you so much for sharing. Yes, indeed. We look forward for futures studies. As for now, I extend my heartfelt appreciation to all of you our Naga brothers and sisters. 💯
Genetically Nagas are sino-Tibetans but they have intermarried with austronesian tribes in southern china in their process of migration hence they have cultural similarities with austronesians. Southern China is actually the original homeland of austronesians, they were probably driven out by sino-Tibetans. The austronesians then migrated to Taiwan and from Taiwan the expansion of austronesians began into Southeast Asia and Oceania. ITaiwan as the point from which the austronesians further expanded into Southeast Asia and Oceania is proven by the fact Taiwanese aborigines who are austronesians have the greatest linguistic diversity.
I'm from the Garo tribe and based on our folklores we migrated from Tibet. Sometimes I think most of the northeast tribes were once a part of one huge group of migrators.
@@FDGSTAGES I just wanna chime in here too. We Mizo people are also very similar to the Naga people, it's like they are "the extreme cousin of ours" and since we are also from NE India, i personally think it's not far off. Head hunting, terrace farming, living in colonies but no tattoos. Some people who had the chance to study history of our ancestors believes that we came from Chin Hills, and according to some folklore and stories, we escaped from "a terrible cause" so this got me thinking, China?
Atayal, seediq, truku and Kavalan are the most famous lalau/Dayan (machete) wilding Taiwanese aboriginals every single Taiwanese tribe (recognized by the government or not) has practice head hunting in their long history on the island The term Atayal is actually pretty broad and traditionally describes a single tribe Many people called the other 3 tribes I mentioned Atayal due to a similar language family spoken by all four tribes

Well burma ethnic did migrate from tibet and China. Also, thai has some Chinese tibet influence in their language too. Thai might have either branch from a very early ancestor or they were influenced. Thai actually has some similar words with austronesian languages. Burmese and thai might be older versions of most Chinese ethnic. Their early ancestors probably came northward and settled in burma or thai and mixed and exchanged with already existing austronesians or papuan in South east asia.
@@greenscenery1974 most likely. Many burmese ethnic of tibet and Chinese migrated from yunnan. The jinpo/singpo or better known as kaichin or zaiwa are from yunnan too.
Many dayak tribes in borneo also have this tradition. We called it ngayau which also collect human head as a trophy

But sadly the People of Nagalim was divided through fake borders
In the later 20th century, after all the efforts by Indian Army and govt.

Naga DNA need to be studied and compare with other SE asian people. We Nagas are so diverse, even among tribals we speak different dialects.

It is indeed mind boggling that we are all related, i am a Malaysian Dusun in Sabah... where our culture, language & way of life have similarity. To be a Dusun Tobilung, i find that we have similarity with the Bunun tribe in Taiwan the same goes with some dialect that are spoken in the Philippine.. how is that. I like to follow & keep in touch with your goodself so that we learn & get to know each other. I am very keen to learn languages. A very interesting presentation. I am a Kadazan from Sabah, the Borneo part of the Federation of Malaysia. Our tribe were once headhunters too.
I'm from North East India 🇮🇳from Manipur state. We have an oral history that our tribes were once lived in borneo there we practice headhunting. From Borneo we went further and crossed Tibetan mountain and finally reached North East of India🇮🇳.
That sounds really plausible too. I hope some more discoveries will happen in that area as well

WE ARE RELATED BECAUSE WE CAME FROM SAME GRANDPARENT.
Austronesian, Chinese (Sinnitic), Hmong Mien, and Austroasiatic people came from same grandparent(s) based on DNA testing and segmentation…….
Thank yoi or sharing kabsat. That's amazing to hear 🙏
But what does 'exposes the back of hsi neck' mean?
This is amaizing, I was not Igorot but I have lineage in Bagobo and Waray, and grew up in Manila, sadly only speaking Tagalog. Our ancestors from Taiwan have shape the modern South East Asia. Love from Malaysia.
Wow that is so interesting! Thank you for sharing. 🙏

Naga's ornaments and jewelry are made from seashells but here nowadays we can't find the original one. The original ornaments are kept hiding secret because it's expensive and they are afraid of losing. My question is how did naga's take seashells while they live in top of the mountains.
Good question
It is believed that Nagas once lived in seashore or a region that had close proximity with ocean/water bodies before the migration to their present day Myanmar and North-East India.
Check out the lost tribes of Nanman
And our log drums look a lot like boats.
There's a saying that our log drums are actually cannoes which we used to travel while we lived near sea shores.

Yes undoubtedly we the Nagas, Igorots, Dayaks, Atayal etc is somewhat interrelated in one way or the other.
Atayal, seediq, truku and Kavalan are the most famous lalau/Dayan (machete) wilding Taiwanese aboriginals every single Taiwanese tribe (recognized by the government or not) has practice head hunting in their long history on the island
The term Atayal is actually pretty broad and traditionally describes a single tribe
Many people called the other 3 tribes I mentioned Atayal due to a similar language family spoken by all four tribes
