Gotta tighten up his handle. That's what Sharp says about himself.

The kid is 17 yrs old folks . Everyone saying he isn’t worthy of the #1 ranking & everything like that r completely wrong imo. His size & touch r great to go along with his natural athletic ability . His skills r just gonna get more & more polished as well. Idk if he will b a multi year all star in the league because like someone said in an earlier post , wing players his size come along constantly in the nba but I do believe he has a chance to b very good at that level if his motor is right for an 82 + game season , that to me is what I worry with in younger kids playing these days . Can they sustain the same energy throughout a season . It’s a shame he will never play a single min for Ky , was really looking forward to seeing him mature in a year IF Cal & that’s a HUGE IF , if Cal would turn him loose & let him play the game & for gods sake , him sit his ass down in that damn coaches chair & STOP yelling for 40 min straight !!! I HATE hearing it all game long & I bet everything I have that the players & hell even assistant coaches hate it as well !! It’s not talked about near enough but imo I guarantee we lose several recruits because they just don’t want to b screamed at constantly on national television every single game winning or losing , NOBODY coaches that way anymore . I’m all for tough coaching & holding players accountable but geez man , save your voice for the damn locker room every now in then !! All u can ever hear is GO GO GO screaming from him .! Along with many other things I wish Cal would change , in game adjustments, switching defenses every now & then to give opposing teams a diff look to throw off their rhythm , use timeouts appropriately , play the right players at the right times , don’t play favorites all the time & im like every other frustrated Ky fan right now other than I will say , I love Cal & believe he is the guy for that Ky chair ( it’s more than just coaching basketball btw) however he HAS to listen & change or it won’t get better ! I wouldn’t ever think I know even 1% more than Cal does about the game but everyone can c what he needs to change except him or maybe he does too it’s just the pride & ego that he won’t put aside to win games . It’s great how many lives he has helped change & families for generations that r set up because he had a play in those cards to help them but what I’m afraid is happening is it’s gonna turn bad & all the great things Cal has done for Ky because u have to admit , we were in a bad way for about 3/4 yrs b4 he got there & I don’t want it to all of a sudden just ends & he leaves , retires , whatever & it’ll get worse b4 it gets better with his replacement . Nobody will hardly agree with me on this but I’ve ALWAYS said that Bruce Pearl would absolutely kill it at Ky & win multiple championships , he would thrive in that chair , no doubt in my mind but Mitch would never hire him . But I’d sure love to have him , the buzz would b unmatched as soon as he would take over , I guarantee it , recruits would LOVE to come play for Ky again & Ky being who Ky is , Pearl would have NO problem getting whoever he wanted .!! Sorry for the book I’ve written & will probably get hammered for my thoughts but I Love the Cats & just want & hope Cal can right this ship b4 it sinks in a negative way & everything he has done won’t matter because of the last 3/4 yrs & we ALL know how Ky fans that said they loved Cal for many years b4 will turn on him if they already haven’t & will dog him out like he never did anything for the Ky program because he certainly has & I mean he has done a lot imo !! 💯💯

@@fredflintstone7742 Incorrect. If you thought he looked special early on in this vid I question you. He wasn’t the best player on the floor; and fell short as another player led his team to victory. Only a fool could watch this and not at least have questions. The draft requires projection; and a player with so little experience on film warrants greater scrutiny. So I respect emmettvb’s comment…
Having said that, and appreciating his age, I began questioning my own desire to have my Pelicans do whatever it takes to draft him. But I remembered the more recent film and quickly looked past this.
Lastly, the question was whether or not he looked like the number 1 player in the 2022 Class. No; certainly not at the start of this video.

From what I see Sharp would of done a lot better if he had of played one year at UK it would of helped him fine tune his rough edges but as you can see the rough edges are still there and he's for sure not the #1 player in the draft , He could of been but chose the easy way out

Gotta be doing something right, if ESPN is ranking him number one as a scoring wing.. they're usually dime a dozen, but cannot do the things athletically or skill wise that Sharpe is able to pull off.. for as Team Final, people cannot forget they had a frontcourt in that game that would be better than 90% of college frontcourts..

I don't think so either, ESPN, RIVALS, 247, 247 sports composite, Onn 3 etc.., are ALL wayyyyy OFF by making him the unanimous #1 across the board!!! A 6'4"-6'5" guard with a 45" vertical who during his reg season was shooting close to 44% from 3pt at one time, finished around 40%! Shoots off the catch & dribble! Scores his 25ppg off of 10-12 shots a game, very efficient, instead of needing to shoot it 25x a game.. Avg over 6 rebs and over 2 steals.. Yeah, I totally think ur opinion based off of a highlight video is way more solid than ALL the scouts and recruiting services who have watched him over and over again in different settings against top competition! 😂😂😂😂😂

This is why so many players get to the NBA with no idea how to play team basketball. They are so beyond other HS kids, their coach can give them the ball and say "go score" and they will with great success. Works great in HS, and some college, but get to the NBA and so many of these players look completely lost early on.

    • @sfcboltedduck6757

This is a great point. I’d like to blame lazy coaches at the HS and college level but it ain’t even that. Kids come out and have talent and want to go straight pro. One and done is ok for a very few select players but the average player needs to have three yrs college or equivalent before NBA, gives them a chance to learn they are all not the most special person in the universe like they were at their HS. It gives their bodies time to grow bigger and in weight room and they are more mature before NBA. But the system not only supports that concept it feeds it and thrives on it. G League is helpful to grow players but a lot of them get lost in the shuffle there. Should be a minimum of two years like NFL but I would like to see three
