Oh wow, I didn't know the Riv Pick was supposed to be that stiff! Mine is pretty loose compared to what it seemed to be on camera. LUCKILY, HOWEVER, CI's legendary customer service always rules. They came through, and now a replacement is on its way to me!
Do you make begginer cutaway locks? For demonstration. Want to start a afterschool program for kids/teenagers, disabled. Tried going through deviant for his model but no response. If thats something ya do. Would live to work a deal for something kinda bigger for instruction, then a few to pass around class. To show whats going on inside. I tryly believe this is key thing to teaching younger pickers! Your review was awesome! Has me sold! Think this is a great looking and more to point t effective edc bypass kit! All rounder. cool video dude! just a suggestion, maybe try flipping the camera and tripod around backwards. then flipping the video in editing software afterwards. might be easier than picking around a tripod ✌️
I'm watching videos waiting for an Arbiter and Echelon to show up. I've got the Genesis but I might have to add the Riv to my next purchase after seeing how compact it fits into the cases. I'm still getting started, and I love the review and that you didn't edit out when you were having trouble with that last lock.
If you want a pick set that can store as compactly as possible, I recommend the Slim Pickings set! I carry mine in my pocket all the time in case of emergencies (however unlikely those may be)!

Either I have a defective Riv Pick, or you do. Mine opens very smoothly. Can do it one handed, and have been able to since day one.
