Say what you will about Mel Gibson--he's a sinner like we all are, but he took the story of Jesus' sacrificial suffering and death and convicted us of the suffering and punishment that we deserve (in the close up of the soldier showing how to dislocate Jesus' shoulder to get the nail positioned to go through the 'right' spot--those were Mel's hands that pounded the nails) We as believers needed to see just how much suffering and pain Jesus endured, and I bawl like a baby every time I watch The Passion Of The Christ.
I guess this is why he doesn't get any more roles. I am really impressed with his passion and reasoning. Not so much with Hollywood's!
