You don't just focus on just one colour in a rainbow do you, you check out all the colours. And all these colours still don't add up to all the musical bases, lyrical ones and brilliant genre hopping she constantly does, while always staying excellent. I suggest you start with the amazing and criminally most ignored album ever "CATCH AS CATCH CAN" from 1983-THAT'S the Kim I know and love. It leaves "Close" almost sounding and looking like a poor cousin. But you need to get it all and her first 3 albums are finally being given the deluxe treatment with special added bonus next month! And don't forget her latest album is only just over a year old-"Here Come The Aliens" which also whips "Close". In fact, all I'd say is get the whole lot of ALL of her stuff, but leave of the overblown gas bagging about 'kids in america'. It's sooo not as great as many keep saying. Now everything that followed's a 'Different Story' as Kim would say!
I found this, through watching Weird Science, one of my favorite movies!! I love John Hughes and his style of writing. and I love the Porsche 928 in the movie! Now I'm addicted to this song, it sounds so good, I wish I could go back in a time machine!!

Wasn't tucked away on a school production film, As you know this is from the hit film: Weird Science so people knew it from the film and the soundtrack was a hit in many countries and stayed on the album charts for months, song played on TV documentaries.....etc
I've just rediscovered my original vinyl copy of the Weird Scene soundtrack! Sounds brilliant on vinyl with all the crackling sound! Another classic KW tune, just fab! So looking forward to seeing Kim live in 2025 💙
@@Gavrev Those Cherry Pop reissues are fantastic, I've got a bunch of them, they all have loads of extra material like B-Sides and 12 inch remixes they are the only way to buy Kim Wilde stuff.
