- The road to the Grand National Roadster Show 2022. Follow Buddy Hale and the Boys as they resurrect this rarest of the rare Volkswagen Hebmuller. The years had not been kind to this 1949 Heb. Full of Bondo and rust, this car had to go to the best. There was no question this car was headed to Type One Restorations. The decision was made to show this car in bare metal. There's no place to hide! We're bringing the best!!
All it takes is skills, tools, money, time, patience,,determination, and good help along with the space for it all....

I saw this car at the Pomona show and didn’t realize it was a real Heb. What an amazing job returning it to better than original. I love the spot welding and seam welding. I’ve never seen anyone else do this level of restoration. We’ll done!
Hard to believe, but it looks even better in person..
Freaking awesome!!! Sorry that I catch your channel before now.
WAUUUUUUUU la sabiduría que DIOS le da al hombre es impresionante 👌
This video should be required watching before you are allowed to look at the car at any show,..anywhere,..anytime! incredible. Great to see it at GNRS
Amazing! I just sat here for an hour watching the best in the business build a sick Heb and chilled out to some good tunes. Thanks for sharing this. Hopefully one day I'll hit the lotto and have my '67 Vert built by Buddy and the Boys.

one of the cars that have always been in my heart, if I had the necessary money I would immediately buy one, and I am sure that with the same money I could have a supercar ... great job even if I would prefer less customer

Buddy Hale Type 1 Restorations Tempe AZ
amazing workmanship !!! / almost a shame to cover this "work of art" with paint ..
I feel the same way 😒 I wish we could just leave it like it is..
Can you guys build me a 1957 Porsche coupe?????????
How many layers of paint did you count?
How long did it take them to finish the work in this video?
7 months
Seems like it'd be easier to build the kit version.....(kidding! Kidding!)
I'll pretend we didn't read that on the public Interwebs 😂
You mean a Wizard ? Hilarious ,
Dontcha mean Type 14A, not Type 1?
Lol, that's the name of the restoration shop ;) But technically you are correct!
It's was at bloom 4
The music was not needed.
Neither is your comment 😉
Wonder if they do water cooled? We have (original owners) a 2004 R32 that needs a lot of love and a rod bearing (rebuild).
But is it a Heb??? Not really....
It’s Heb #387
