My father took his Packard in for servicing at the Cadillac dealer and saw a Cadillac identical to this in the showroom and immediately traded in his car for the Cadilac. What memories I have of that car.............thanks for showing it...
What a great Cadillac. I had a 55 Coupe. Package shelf easily replaced. Stereo easily removed. Interior original for sure. Very nice driver and well worth the money if the mileage is true depending on how much original metal is left.. Just a great original Caddy with honest wear...... Love it. The Electric Eye is called Guidematic. Beautiful Coupe should sell fast !
My dad had a 1956 Coupe de Ville that was the exact duplicate of this car. Same black paint. Same black and white interior. He sold his sometime in the late 1970s. That car was a true boat on wheels.
Have you seen the new Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing? Totally different style of course, but amazingly good car! Hand built V8 engine by a single person. There is still some passion at GM.
...one of the great Cadillacs designed by GM's Ed Glowacki...when the brand still carried the "Standard of the World" imaging... ...a stately and imposing example in Black...c'est si bon, mon frer...
P.S. The chrome on this car is more in metal than a whole new car, SUV, & some pickups. GM, you need to make these again. No retro crap but exactly like this. If you did, I'm good for 3. These old beauties are super nice but total engine rework to handle ethanol crap gasoline today. Never put today's pump gas trash in one of these. What a nice sounding engine.
This car would be a nice candidate for a complete frame off restoration. But that asking price is a little bit too steep, for a vehicle that would have to undergo further work....to get to the condition that it deserves to be in. Just my little humble opinion.
Man, that Cadillac is beautiful!!! Tons of curb appeal. Just the right width radial withwalls with those Caddy caps. Is that the original motor for the car?
Great car, and great video...EXCEPT for that annoying ad for an extended warranty right in the middle of it. Why not put the ad (and that's what it is) at the END of the video, for the 5% of viewers who may be interested in it?

This was built back when having a caddilac meant something. Beautiful car!

Just an absolutely stunning car, if I had the money, I'd love driving that
Just steal the car!
Great looking 56 Caddy Reminds me of Elvis Presley and all that he gave away. Special year and car. Thank you for sharing!
Superb old car. Used sparingly and maintained over the years. Still retains much of its originality which is so much more desirable in an old classic.
You said it all on this beaut! 😎👍
50 and 60s Cadillacs the best of the best.
Only love can save us now!
Wouldn’t be surprised if that’s new dash padding. Looks nice but I don’t remember those originally having stitching.
A.mona Lisa of history in car industry beautiful caddilac
Beautiful!!!!!!!!!! 👍👍👍👍
Beautiful car . Vintage cars have personality not like modern ones

I love this black Cadillac!

What a gorgeous car ❤️
Yes; certainly is a Rolling Work of Art!!
Yes it's a Rolling Work of Art. I love Cadillacs 😊
Older ones, not this new crap.
@@craigpennington1251 You said it! The Caddys from the early '70s and older, are classic works of mechanics, style, luxury & *ART!* 😎👍
BEAUTIFUL
Beautiful 😍
Those needed lead gas to cushion the valves. Wonder if they use a substitute additive?
Красивая машинка. молодцы
Wow what a fine example

SIMPLY GORGEOUS ***** ***** *****
Wow..super nice…
Built the year I was born!
I always think of Jayne Mansfield when I see one of these at a car show or driving down the road.

We can't confirm if it is original to the car, but it is the correct era for this model year!
I was in a 1969 Fleetwood Brougham that got airborne at 75mph .

Thanks for watching! The viewers attention span rarely reaches the end, based on the data from UA-cam; gotta put the ad in somewhere. 🤷♂️
Nicely maintained Cadillac, but quit trying to peddle it as 56,000 original miles.
Nice Cadillac ❤😂👍.
Me gusta el carro
Babe 💕
She will sell quick ..a bargain at that price
What s big heap of yank crap would not hold a candle to Rolls Royce or a Jaguar to big and to much chrome probably don't go real fast
So what ? This is a "Cadillac" and Not a Rolls-Royce or a Jaguars.
£30,000.00 in British money . That’s absolutely nothing for that motorcar.
