I bought a torq one from CG long time ago. I didn't mind the price because I bought it when they started the foam cannon thing. One time was replacing the quick release adapter and I realized it was a MTM brand one you can find cheap online. If I paid a lot that time was for the car wash, a CG sticker and a cheap foam cannon.
Thanks for the honest review! I bought the Amazon one because as far as I could see, there is very little to the foam cannon to be worth paying a premium price for. I am really happy with my purchase, it does exactly what it is supposed to and was a great price.

I bought the DUSICHIN SFL-001 and it works pretty good with my ELECTRIC 1600 psi pressure washer. I did however buy a 1.1mm orifice to get max foam out of it like the expensive foamers. It was $17.90 and $11 for the 1.1mm orifice.
You're missing the technical aspect to why the $16 works just as well as the $50+ ones.
The main reason is your pressure washer because it is pushing 2.4 GPM (Gallons per minute). Anything over 2GPM on a pressure washer is more than enough to produce that thick snow foam magic, whether it be a cheap or expensive cannon.
Now if you had anything BELOW 2GPM then you will see a difference if not SAME results because the GPM is too low. You then can modify the cheap amazon foam cannon by purchasing a 1.1 orifice and then producing the thick foam once again even with an electric pressure washer with 1.2-1.7 GPM.
So morale of this is that cheap or expensive will work just as fine and it really boils down to your pressure washer and how much GPM it is pushing.
Starbuzzed agree, has to be the pressure washer. Try that with a lower psi washer & the results will surely change.

Yeah I mean it makes complete sense. I bought the one that hooks to my garden hose, I totally forgot I had a pressure washer. It's just a cheap electric one but I think I'll go with the chemical guys they probably have a better warranty

Amazon foam cannon work just like the expensive one. Just put your favorite brand sticker on it and Bam you just make yourself the expensive one. Don’t know why people would buy the expensive one where you can buy the knock off version and produce same foam for the half the price.
its not even a knockoff. they are all made by the same OEM just a different bottle.

The main difference is the build quality in terms of the brass fittings. CG uses top notch stuff and mine has lasted years without issue. The Amazon One could use cheaper material, which one wouldn’t notice in a test like this but would show through years from now
Just bought the amazon one and hand a chance to use it today.. worked great- you only pay the increase in price for the LOGO.. or sticker. If you wanted to fit in with your “richer” cool friends.. just say it’s the more experience brand only their sticker flew off. All these products are made in China.. good video!

I think the soap is the key factor in the suds, and dont allow the sud up in the bottle

The quality of the foam directly depends on pressure amount of your washer. The bigger pressure the better
The nozzles inside all brass ones can be changed too to affect how thick the foam is, they're well worth it

I purchased the foam cannon in the link and I am not getting thick foam very runny this foam instead. I am using chemical guys snow foam, and a power stroke 3100 Psi gas pressure washer. Any idea what the issue is? I’m about to return the cannon and look for a different one due to frustration. Also when connecting the cannon to the quick connect pressure washer wand it moves around, like it will spin if I move the want not secure and stay in the one position.

I only bought the CG big mouth because it's a lot larger and easier to use. Also works better with lower psi washers even though that's just an orifice change away apparently. Plus i could probably get them to give me a new one if it fucks up

I got a Mingle powergun and foam cannon for christmas, I have a Husky 1750psi powerWasher, I easy connect the power gun and it works excelent but, when I conect the foam cannon, following the instruction about shampoo and the valve, but when I pull the trigger, the soap just doesn’t gets sucks out of the bottle, what could be the problem?
You can adjust the foam that's what the knob on the top is for I use the Amazon one works like a charm 👌

Excellent comparison video! I have the $19 MATCC foam cannon and it's been working pretty damn good so far. A lot of my buds have the CG torq cannon and performance and build wise it's pretty much the same to me IMHO. I guess it comes down to where people want to spend their money lol

I use an cheap eBay foam cannon that cost 20 bucks! Works perfectly fine.

What's the difference between regular car wash soap and snow foam? Cherry blast seems to work fine for me!
In The video it looks like the Amazon sprays more and has a wider spray nozzle, and I purchased one from Amazon. There's no doubt that the one from Amazon is just as good as Chemical Guys

When you use a foam cannon, after spraying do you go over it with a wash mitt or do you just detach the sprayer and power wash it off? Thanks.
it's definitely best to wash it with a mitt, the foam cannon will get off most of the dirt but sometimes not all so it's always best to come back with the fast hand wash.
I bought 3 types of foam cannon from amazon. One is CG the and 2 cheap ones. One of the cheap ones underperformed. The other is MJCC which actually outperformed CQ torqure, perhaps it was defective or some other reason. But anyways since its free return and knowing so i returned the 2 and kept the best performer. And subbed for future infos

i have the amazon one . the only issue i have had is the soap suction tubes are brittle and cracked at the end where it goes into the upper. both of the ones provided did this. i went to HD and bought a roll of vinyl tubing the correct diameter and have not had a problem since. Sometimes buying brand name is not always better

How about durability? Which one would hold up longer , because in a detailing business you would have to constantly be using the foam cannon and would put alot of wear on the product

The nozzle (on the water inlet of the cannon) is they key factor there, 1.1 mm or even 1 mm are the good ones
I have had some issues with the amazon foam cannon, with the seal on the top knob. It broke for me after about 5 washes, could’ve been me mishandling, or a defect, but it was my first foam cannon so I’m unsure. Otherwise works great and for a stunning difference in price!

Does anybody know if the CG Foam Cannon is made in America or somewhere else? I'm wondering if that explains the price. Otherwise I guess they can get away with the large price because people pay and don't ask why.
I could definitely see a difference when you were spraying the cheaper one it left such a thicker layer especially near your driver side door the other one just put a thin coat of soap that one left 1in thick soap side and then died down the other one did not do that at all and that is the point you want those Suds to lift up the dirt

Besides small differences like the plastic over the adjustment knob and the bottle style, I wouldn't be surprised if the actual brass top mechanism parts were both made in the same factory in China lol.

I would love also recommend, if you are still using Amazons foam canon, to replace the nozzle tip it comes with and upgrade it to “M MINGLE Foam Cannon Orifice Nozzle Tip, High Replacement Thread Nozzle” $7.99 that will make the foam EVEN THICKER no joke! That’s why I want to try the shampoo you are using as it already produces great foam but with the replacement tip, whoooooo boy, would be like shaving cream

we're totally good. We are both in an Essential job so no lay offs for us. However I can't stay that about most of the Orlando area. Traffic is almost zero as it's mostly a vacation town and everything has been shut down, no one is working .

I’d also rather use Gold Class or Meguiars detailer line shampoo (the blue stuff) than any CG or other brand of soap. The Meguiars stuff has way more lubricity and better foam in my experience at a much better price.

They're both cheap as all hell, the torq one broke after 2 washes, you want quality and the best you get mtm pf22, 0 issues since day one. Great video!

Yeah, top part of it completely broke after adjusting the foam mixer and neck of the bottle was so cheap it snapped off, very common problem with this foamer, or it was a bad batch that a lot of people including myself received.
