In my honest opinion, Gangs of Wasseypur is the greatest Indian movie ever produced. Believe me when I say, I don’t call some piece of art a masterpiece easily, but MY GOD is this movie a true masterpiece. Just incredible!!
Well there is a detail you missed that the J P is the son of that officer who was killed by Ramadhir singh in the first half of the 1st movie. So at the end JP got his revenge without even knowing
Quick Remark about the last scene over kill. He uses three guns to finish Ramadheer because of the promise he made in the past. Father's revenge, brother's revenge, grand father's revenge. Thought that was a good touch. Also, I should add that the chase sequence in the movie where they refill gas was a very guerilla type shoot on the main city roads. The chase sequence was a last moment change.
Person played the Definite role was the real. Story teller to director... As he was the real neighbour of real faizal khan.. Yes it's a real story of gangwar
When Sultan's sister was getting married in part 1, Sultan comes and whispers in her ear...that if she goes ahead with the wedding he will shoot her...and that's why he shoots her.
Story is based on coal mafia in dhanbad city of Jharkhand state where big mafias involved in selling coal from coal mines. They have made billions in it and ultimately become so power politically that even manage to kill one Supretendent of police there in 90s. And Ramadhir Singh is one of those mafias.
33:28 if you see movies that came in 60s to 90s (from most of them) you will understand what Ramadheer Singh meant 36:54 but For Bollywood it was not Gangsta movies, For Bollywood it was to be a hero and do incredible things which are not possible in real life like 1 guy single handedly defeated dozens of people with weapons, like a man going from rags to riches in 4, 5 seconds in a movie - going from rags to riches is possible but one gets an impression that it will be in very small time they take that 4, 5 seconds to a few years but the reality is going from rags to riches takes a lot time and that too a small fraction do, next is that the stupid romance it taught calling girls with some derogatory term as funny and the girl loves you. Also it portrayed a lot of illogical decisions made as good and heroic One more thing a lot sensuality So Ramadheer meant that cinema (of the time) misguides you, fools you
Loved hearing your thoughts on the film, Achara and Syntell! I loved the film, but hadn't seen it since 2012, so I forgot a lot of details, especially from Part II, so it was fun and interesting to "watch along". Inspector Gopal singh is most under rated character in this movie.he was the one who went to find evidence in Sultan's den,he arrested Faizal,he even tell reality to his superior bluntly and most importantly he was standing on his ground with his service pistol even they had machine guns.

And damn I grew up in Dhanbad. 😂 Didn’t know soo much was happening when I was 4. But I remember the Bank more area was full of thugs, gangs and other criminals of all types. Recently the mayor of Dhanbad city of shot dead near the Big Bazaar Mall. That was the last big gang related crime that I heard of. So this gang war is still alive, the real story is a but different but most of it is based on true story. Thankfully I ain’t living there anymore.😅
The film mainly draws its story from the real life gang wars that took place in the region of Dhanbad, Jharkhand. There are several differences in the film which contradict actual documented events most notably the character of Faizal Khan (based on Faheem Khan) who dies in the climax

It is based In the states of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Some traces of this behavior is seen here. Like I went to the post office some days ago to apply for my Citizenship card (Aadhar card) and in the post office a 15 year old boy was thrown out by the workers since he got extremely abusive after the workers told him to that they don't accept digital payments there. Only cash is acceptable in govt places. Around 15 mins later this boy's father and brothers came with guns and knives and pointed it towards the workers and bragged about how they are from the state of Bihar and won't hesitate to kill them. And the workers there were like YEAH WE ARE FROM U.P AND YOU THINK WE'LL LET IT GO. WE'LL KILL AND BURY YOU RIGHT IN FRONT OF POLICE STATION IN DAY LIGHT. It got hella scary but funny at the same time. Luckily there was a guy in the line who was in Para-Military so he calmed them down by showing his ID and stuff. I was just right next to one of the workers there as I was giving my fingerprints and stuff and I thought THIS WAS GONNA BE THE END OF ME.

Please try to interview Zishan Qadri the writer and who played Definite. He's amazingly a talented person but don't know why Bollywood's not giving him more opportunities.
Expression on Nawazuddin Siddiqui in shooting Ramadhir Singh sequence was epic , the look in his eyes that's acting.
Ramadhir's comment was not for Bollywood alone but was addressed to Cinema in general
Definite is the writer and he is from Wasseypur
Unfortunately he got so many death threats after this movie
Why death threats?
@@Pk_1911 so what else did u hope would happen?

My favt movie of all tym...
'Definite' wrote this story. he shared these real life incidents in his area and paved it into a movie
Syntell/Achara combo is WOW!!!.. You guys should keep reating together to other movies too.. Great combo.
The Actor playing 'Definite' is actually from the place Wasseypur.. And he Wrote this Film's Story.
The Guardian ranked GOW 59th in their list of 100 greatest movies of the 21st century, GOW was ranked above The Dark Night, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, No Country For Old Men, Waltz with Bashir, Gladiator, The Hurt Locker, Ocean's Eleven and many other great movies.
Deserving
But 21st century isn't over
Fun facts
Faizal Khan House where Sultan attacked
That is directer anurag kashyap's own home in His village 😅
I think the house where Faizal was born is Anurag Kashyap's old house. Maybe not sure i think Anurag mentioned this in Neelesh Mishra's interview
I just love ramadhir singh's character acting , I just feel the portrayal by tigmanshu dhulia is best
Definite character lives in Wasseypur and writer of this whole prodigy
I think ramadhir isn't that much bad he is intelligent. Other characters did too many ugly things in this movie.
People in power don't come forward, They have their men. No objection that he understood the game of Power like no one.
@@heymant09 I got ur point I jz wanted to say he didn't do nasty things like other characters did. Throughout the movie only ramadhir and faisal are two characters who stick to their morality.
@@atheist1586 he just imagine bad things in his mind to execute in real by his men..
This was the best reaction series on the channel till now.
This movie is a masterpiece in every sense. Music, actor, script , narration, direction and everything
In my honest opinion, Gangs of Wasseypur is the greatest Indian movie ever produced. Believe me when I say, I don’t call some piece of art a masterpiece easily, but MY GOD is this movie a true masterpiece. Just incredible!!
Amongst best gangster genre for sure
Absolutely the greatest movie from indian cinema till date
Well there is a detail you missed that the J P is the son of that officer who was killed by Ramadhir singh in the first half of the 1st movie. So at the end JP got his revenge without even knowing
It's actually right 😮
Quick Remark about the last scene over kill.
I hope Anurag Kashyap gets to know about that.
Person played the Definite role was the real. Story teller to director... As he was the real neighbour of real faizal khan.. Yes it's a real story of gangwar
700 shots were fired irl. Police department refused to do the postmortem of the body. The last scene was inspired from that.
Sources say 67, 700 is rather exaggerated
When Sultan's sister was getting married in part 1, Sultan comes and whispers in her ear...that if she goes ahead with the wedding he will shoot her...and that's why he shoots her.
Anurag Kashyap ko bhi pata nahi hoga iske bare me
Story is based on coal mafia in dhanbad city of Jharkhand state where big mafias involved in selling coal from coal mines. They have made billions in it and ultimately become so power politically that even manage to kill one Supretendent of police there in 90s. And Ramadhir Singh is one of those mafias.
33:28 if you see movies that came in 60s to 90s (from most of them) you will understand what Ramadheer Singh meant
36:54 but For Bollywood it was not Gangsta movies,
For Bollywood it was to be a hero and do incredible things which are not possible in real life like 1 guy single handedly defeated dozens of people with weapons, like a man going from rags to riches in 4, 5 seconds in a movie - going from rags to riches is possible but one gets an impression that it will be in very small time they take that 4, 5 seconds to a few years but the reality is going from rags to riches takes a lot time and that too a small fraction do, next is that the stupid romance it taught calling girls with some derogatory term as funny and the girl loves you. Also it portrayed a lot of illogical decisions made as good and heroic
One more thing a lot sensuality
So Ramadheer meant that cinema (of the time) misguides you, fools you
It's not about Faizal, definite, Sardar or Ramadhir or anyone.
It's about wasseypur and it's gangs. No one is hero or villain.
Tigmanshu dhulia played ramadhir singh.... another legend
Loved hearing your thoughts on the film, Achara and Syntell! I loved the film, but hadn't seen it since 2012, so I forgot a lot of details, especially from Part II, so it was fun and interesting to "watch along". I hope the two of you will be doing one of those for another film soon! Cheers from the Netherlands.
Inspector Gopal singh is most under rated character in this movie.he was the one who went to find evidence in Sultan's den,he arrested Faizal,he even tell reality to his superior bluntly and most importantly he was standing on his ground with his service pistol even they had machine guns.
He did even well now in Panchayat!
The house where Faizal Khan lived was the actual House of the director of the movie (anurag kashyap)
You guys should watch this Netflix video about this movie- "Is Gangs of Wasseypur still awesome?" It's on Netflix India's UA-cam Channel with a cool funny commentary, it's great!
Syntell with the Intel, pls watch Satya as well. Anurag Kashyap wrote the story. On the sets of Satya, he got his foundations to directing Gangs of.... later in the future. Satya made Manoj Bajpayee a popular name in India. Satya is directed by someone called "RGV"
Fun fact :Definite wrote the story!!
I think he pitched the idea many more people involved in writing process lead by anurag kashyap
I am from Bihar
The land of most IAS Officers , Politicians and Rebellion.
This was 2 movies which Gives many 💎 actors and content like Sacred games , Mirzapur etc
Everything was interconnected and story telling was Awesome that's why this movie is masterpiece ❤️
Even Anurag Kashyap said that the blood scene was unrealistic...
Please react to Making of Gangs of Wasseypur... It will be fun... They showed how difficult it was to shoot gorilla sometimes and making this masterpiece in such leas budget.
Like Tywin Lannister.. my thought exactly!!
pay attention to the song lyrics while faizal khan shoots ramadhir singh, you will understand what is happening in the scene and inside his mind.

I don't think any-movie in Bollywood can match this level. Its top of hierarchy. I only wished was I can see the making of the movie live .
Do you feel the same? please let me know

40:45 he is limping because he hurt his leg while jumping of the roof! And correct me if I'm wrong... I think Nawaz really crack his leg while shooting this....
Yea he did in real
Ramadhir and faizal in the end game knew they have lived enough.
Ramadhir just sat down and died in acceptance.
Faizal was also done and just shut down all his brains and died at the hands of definite. He could hav averted that easily. Bt he was done with the violence.
We deserve a live session after this movie with you all
This story also shows how the crime shifted over the years in bihar
Movie/web series recommendation :
1.Badla (movie)
2.Down underdogs India's greatest comeback (ws)
It’s loosed based on reality , except the fact that both characters faisal khan and ramadhir singh is alive. Faisal khan is in central jail dumka(fahim khan-his real name) and ramadhir (randhir) singh is still a politician!!
The gangs of wasseypur is the real story.
And the person who played definite is the write of the story and he also have seen gangs of wasseypur in real life
Good one Achara and Syntel👍 enjoyed 🌺 thank you 🙏
I was fun seeing this movie once again with you guys ❤️
The review was really good and you guys really got a good understanding of the plot and all the scenes.
Gangs ruled Jharkhand in 80s and 90s when it was still Bihar, it took some year to clean the gangs once Jharkhand was divided. Wasseypur was just the tip of the iceberg, reality was much worse than this movie ... Too much money in coal mining and trucking
i have watched this movie more than enough . and Faisal Khan and Sardar Khan and Shahid Khan ,all forgetting their slippers and always returning for it is always funyyy😂😂😂😂
33:35 what a good explanation
Literally it is better than Godfather. Godfather is also a classic cult but being an Indian I find this story more intriguing 😀
Don't compare it to godfather...
@@micheal6803 yeah, Godfather was boring. (For me atleast)
@@Nileshmadhav95 same
@@Nileshmadhav95 you do realize that Godfather changed film industry forever? Gangster/mafia movie genre became a thing after Godfather movie. Every gangster movie and many directors were inspired by Godfather. Anurah Kashyap was heavily inspired by The God Father. We wouldn't have all these gangster movies the way they are if it wasn't for The Godfather. So let's give respect where respect is due.
@@nathansvn717 Yup, I know that it inspired many writers and directors.
Still... Not saying Godfather was bad, it was just boring for me.
Definit is long-term Investment 🤣
definite actually shot Faisal but missed and then he Shot Iqbal to cover his mistake🤣
This was inspired from real life incidents and those two families are still rivals
I have watched 12 reaction videos from your channel just to see Achara, she is so cute. 🥰 😘 I enjoy watching her & I love it when she says a few words in Hindi. 😊
Hi,
Thanks for watching one of the best Indian gangster movies ever made in India. I am bengali but we still celebrate these masterpiece. I hope Jaby and you guys one day will react to 22se Srabon from Mr. Srijit Mukherjee.
You will be surprised to know that this whole movie is inspired by true events (gang war) which happened in wasseypur for generations. Faisal khan is slightly based on Faheem khan....
Faizal sprains his ankle when he makes the jump..hence the limping.
Anurag kashyap got the inspiration for GOW from Tamil movies Paruthiveeran and Subramanuapuram
One of the best movies of all time I have watched..in two parts
Actually Mumbai symbolises entering the Underworld. Like Vito Corleone entering America. Wasseypur is like Sicily.
Just like in Game of Thrones, your fav character dies as soon as you start to like them
Do react to *Raman Raghav 2.O* another masterpiece.
Yrr Ramadhir singh ke bete ko dekh ke to rahul gandhi ki yad ati hai😅😂
😅😅 tumse naa ho payega
Fun fact: it is a 100% true story and these all characters were real life neighbors of the actor who played definite and he is one of the writers of the movie as well.
Its not 100% true.
Some of the incidents showed in the movie happened im reality, but they happened to different and unrelated people and were unrelated incidents, even in different towns.
The writer just picked these incidents and weaved them together in a single story in a single place.
The story in the movie itself is pure fiction.
