Had a 2018 bottling of this years ago. Have heard several people say that the more recent bottlings are much better? A little shop near me has them for $105. Crazy that today that is a good price 😢.
Erik, I really enjoy all your reviews. Fantastic format giving a brief description of the distillery, core range etc. Extremely interesting and informative. And then ending with a direct non-pretentious review of the whisky itself. Superb. Keep up the great work. Hope you have a Merry Christmas, and looking forward to more of your reviews in 2024. 🥃🥃🥃
Huge line of whiskey's. Shame I won't find any of them for an affordable price. Good review as always 😊 Dem 500 $ for a 12 year old one is crazy. Unless 500 isn't big money for you. I would rather get 10 whiskey's with that.
Correction Erik. Next to Springbank at least also Kilchoman does the whole process from barley to bottle. Apart from that: great footage. Slàinte mhath
Nope, Kilchoman only produces 30% of their own malt. I have been to Kilchoman Distillery twice and their floor is FAR too small to meet all their needs. Springbank's floors are larger and they have two of them (upper/lower). Check out my video on Kilchoman: ua-cam.com/video/XW46CM4cCso/v-deo.html
🥃🥃🥃 THIS VIDEO WAS PREVIOUSLY UPLOADED BUT NEEDED CORRECTIONS AND RE-UPLOADED 🥃🥃🥃
I bought the springbank 12 CS In 2020 when I was living in France for around 90 us dollars. Crazy how it changed.
This one is on my bucket list to find and try.
I like how the Hazelburn 21 is bottled at a lower strength than 46%. I wonder did they water it down to 43.2 or is that cask strength?

Thanks for these tasting notes! Yes, it’s definitely grapefruit, I love it!
It really is!
I just wish it was more available and less expensive.

Thank you VERY much! Have a Merry Christmas and HappY New Year! 🎄 🥃
Hi Eric, great video! Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think the 10PX is 100%px barrels. I think it’s bourbon and then like 4 or 5 years in px
100% PX would probably overwhelm the spirit so they’re usually finished in PX for 6-12 months.

I bought a bottle in December, 2019. I haven't seen it in stock since.
Yep..... it's a rare find these days.
Rob over at Whisky in the 6 had the 12yo in his top 5 of the year. Would love it, but I'd be just as happy if I could find a 10yo for sale!
and Rob KNOWS Springbank well!
Great review Erik. Is this the 2023 batch?
Since I got it at the distillery it mostly likely is a 2023.
Easy enough to get where i am though little harder in the last few months.
We need this!
