    Thanks for all the great information. We started the homeschooling in 2020 and its allowed us to travel quite a bit up and down the east coast. we're now planning a 3 month National Parks Trip for late fall 2023. All your videos have been extremely helpful especially all the RV Tips with the Class C! Hoping to start a channel of our own.

    I've driven from the valley over hwy 120 many times delivering food to the lodge and different villages in a 36' big rig...never had any issues with 13'6" height

      That’s good to know. We would love to stay right at Yosemite village if we go back.

    Thank you so much for this video! Your breakdown with the maps, tunnels and showing the Tioga pass is absolutely the BEST video and most helpful information I have found in my research. Thanks so much for doing this work. Wonderful video.

      I always think that posting the kid related hikes, etc are just as useful to the people wanting a mile or two hikes (but not wanting to backpack into the parks for ten miles). So it applies to more people than kids.😉

    I could use more detail as in the timing and cost of getting a camp ground spot in or outside Yosemite.

    • @RVHomeschool
      @RVHomeschool  3 роки тому

      You need to book five months in advanced (the exact time reservations open up) in order to secure a spot. Some places still allow first come first serve and the time you need to arrive will just depend on the popularity of the park at the moment and the campground. That’s less predictable. This website should help answer all of your questions:

    Where is the 12’ tunnel you went through in your RV? I need 13’ 2” clearance

      Here's the details for each of the entrances and the height restrictions. My understanding is that we could only come in through El Portal (although we didn't end up bringing the RV into Yosemite Valley): www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/restrictions.htm

    Do you see rv smaller size than yours get into Yosemite valley?

    • @RVHomeschool
      @RVHomeschool  3 роки тому +1

      Yes, we can get into the valley too we just need to enter in the correct route. We won't fit the other options. I think few RVs will fit through Wawona tunnel (the south entrance).

    Did you actually drive into Yosemite valley with the RV?

    • @RVHomeschool
      @RVHomeschool  3 роки тому +1

      No, we did not. We wouldn’t have fit through the tunnels from Groveland into the valley (our RV is too tall). Our only option is the El Portal route. We camped in Groveland and drove our Jeep into the valley.
