Man, i'll tell you. That 75-77 era of the stones is one that i think defined my mortal existence. My best high school buddy approached me in the hallway just before school let out for the summer and asked if i'd like to go to see them in June '75. New York City, madison square garden. Probably the hottest tickets that ever hit that town before, then or since. So, off we go on a train and arrive there. It was a very pivotal moment anyway being our first concert and really the first time my parents let me out of their site much less to go alone to NYC. I doubted they'd even let me go but i'll ask i told my friend. Much to my amazement my Mom said..sure. Have a great time ! I guess i hit the coming of age magic number of 16 for her. Anyways..in we go and take our seats. I never saw anything like it really. Taking the small town kids that we were and putting us into that setting. The tour of the america logo was illuminated all across the walls and ceiling....the stadium spotlights surround the lotus shaped 6 point star stage which was folded up and basked in an eery blue light. And then, it happened. The stage began to unfold...the immortal sounds of Keith and Charlie opening up with the Honky Tonk woman beat and notes. And....me and my friend? Our DNA changed that night. That's the only way to describe it. I'm still not over it yet. I never will be. RIP to my young friend. He left this world way too soon and actually..that was the last night i ever saw him again. Sometimes though i go to the cemetary he's buried at and play him the bootleg to our concert. I swear i can feel the ground shake beneath my feet. For anyone who might wonder what the stones were like live and in person during this 75-77 era. That about describes it. Thanks stones. Thanks Ed. Rock on. :)
@@EdBmusic1 Ebenfalls prima...schön, mal wieder voneinander zu hören... Die Stones sind ja wieder ziemlich fleißig! Ein gutes Vorbild finde ich...☺...✌...
