David Miliband, Former UK Foreign Secretary, on Democracy, the Labour Party and the Rise of Populism

Today we bring you an exclusive conversation with former British Foreign Secretary David Miliband.
Miliband was one of the key architects of Tony Blair’s New Labour. Now as the CEO of the International Rescue Committee in New York, he has a unique perspective on global affairs across 50 countries.
David is also part of the Giant Ventures advisory board. David joined the FT’s Gillian Tett at our summit Giant Ideas 2024, to discuss what a Labour government will look like, with some predictions for geopolitics and the US election.

He’s right one cannot live in the past, but chucking out the baby with the bath water isn’t a solution either. Labour need to listen more and pontificate less. Some chance of that me thinks!
