This is such a nice way to remember Jenny. I never had the pleasure to watch her channel but I can empathize because I felt similarly when we lost Janelle last year. And my March reading will center around her too.
Jenny inspired my American history project. I will be working on that for years if anyone wants to follow that. This February I need to read a Medici book for her. Maybe I should read ahead into the revolution too just because.
In honor of Jennifer, I'm going to make it a Wilkie Collins year (it's also the 200th anniversary of his birth this year). I have 3 of his novels on my TBR and I may also re-read The Woman in White. And maybe this is the year I will read Romola, although I'll probably need to watch Jennifer's video about it to get me motivated.
Jennifer really did exude enthusiasm about so many things and influenced the reading of so many of us, The Lives of the Artists was one that really sticks in my mind so happy to hear you are enjoying it. I’m going to read Romantic Outlaws as I know she loved that book and have been meaning to read it for a while and also a Wilkie Collins, I’m just not sure which one yet. You have some great picks Catherine, Eldfride looks especially interesting.
Jenny loved that Hamilton bio! Thank you for sharing your plans, Catherine. I'm watching your video in small drips and drops, but just wanted to say that 🤗
That book Elfrida looks really interesting! I'm going to see if my library has it. I liked hearing that you read the Bible every day. I do too. Sometimes I don't necessarily think about my daily Bible reading as part of my "reading life," but it really is. It's nice to hear about booktubers who regularly read the Bible. ❤️
Such a sweet tribute to Jenny. ❤ It didn't even occur to me to read The Secret History, so thanks for that because it's just been sitting on my shelf. At this point, I'm not exactly sure what I'll be reading (other than The Villa), and I thank you for sharing your pile of possibilities. 📚
Hi, I was just wondering what that cute little lady is next to your head vase on your bookcase shelf? How about a bookshelf tour sometime? I will miss Jennifer Brooks so much too. I ordered The Nutcracker by Alexandre Dumas, and a retelling called Midnight in Evergreen (or something like that) which is a retelling that Jennifer enjoyed. Those haven’t come yet but I’m looking forward to them. Thank you so much.😊
I'm in Luke in my personal Bible reading, too ❤ Jennifer was so, so articulate and enthusiastic. You really gave her a nice tribute in this video. That Napoleon biography is on my tbr bc of Jennifer Brooks.
I have been looking for the Andrew Roberts book on napoleon for awhile. I also love Ron chernow’s books. I have all of his. What is the book on the pretenders that you are reading. I would be interested in that one. I am going to look into the elfrida book
Hi, Catherine! It was a joy to listen to this. God bless you!
Thanks!

I still miss Janelle too, and am also looking forward to March Mystery Madness.
I was able to check The Villa from the library.😊
I'm currently reading The Villa, because of Jennifer. 😊

Thank you for this lovely tribute ❤
@ChristyLuisDostoevskyinSpace Thank you for all you've done in her honor, and for being such a good friend to Jenny.

Jennifer loved Dante, so he is on my TBR this year. I Will miss her enthusiasm.

I dug out The Secret History but still don't know if I'll read it soon

Is it the Jane Austen action figure?
I'm in Luke in my personal Bible reading, too ❤

Articulate is apt as well. And a voice that was never irritating, which is high praise from a misophonia girl...
Sounds a good plan.😊
