I got the marriage portrait in hold. I read the second Mrs Astor last year. I had the same reading interests as Jenny. I became interested in Italy and the Borgia’s because of Jenny’s love for them. I want to see the Sistine chapel because she loved going there so much. I hope I eventually make it there. She was such a knowledgeable person and her choices of books was so interesting. I have the Marie antonette book. Thanks for reminding me I will definitely read it this month.
She truly was inspiring in her love for a wide variety of topics and helped me find so many interests as well. I’m glad we’re able to participate in this Readathon.
What a great list of books Tori, it really illustrates the multiple enthusiasms Jenny had. I’ll be reading Romantic Outlaws and would like to read another Wilkie Collins but that might have to be in another month, I figure there is not time limit to reading like Jenny!
I just listened to the audiobook of All’s Well because of Jenny. It was so interesting for sure, and I can see why she loved it so. ❤ I’m also planning to read some Italy-ish books this month, including The Marriage Portrait.
Good luck getting over the slump. I went straight to Mary Shelly and the 1818 Frankenstein in memory of Jennifer - it was very good and not at all like all the horror films which came later.
Thank you for doing this for Jennifer. As a subscriber its so wonderful to see fellow booktubers honour her ❤ Yea i also cant watch her videos just yet 😢
❤🩹 Im reading Jonathan Strange & MN which Jenny mentioned in her Bucket List tag couple years back- I know she'd started it & totally vibed with the magic in York Minster Cathedral at the beginning but never managed to finish so.. as i always equated historical fantasy with her ive finally taken the plunge (third way in) & enjoying 🤗. Have a few of these mentioned & hope to get to them soon. Great to catch up with your channel (will binge Dec + Jan). Been in similar situation re not being able/ watching much bt until v recently. 🤓🙂
I had forgotten she had started Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell. How wonderful that you get to sort of finish for her in a way through this Readathon. I have it on my shelf too so I’d love to hear your final thoughts. 😊
Oh my, I just ordered "Lancelot" from AbeBooks (of course, because it was recommended by Jenny)! Btw, in her favourite non-fiction books video, Jenny had mentioned that she had a soft spot for "Marie Antoinette" by Antonia Fraser because it was the first non-fiction she read (at 13!) on her own because of the popular 2006 movie adaptation (Kirsten Dunst, who happened to be in the "Interview with the Vampire" movie too, played the lead role).🧡
That’s right! I thought she had said at one point she enjoyed it but I wasn’t sure if it was her or Charlotte from CoynieReads. I’ll need to check out those films as well!
❤❤❤ to Jennifer. I hope February brings you many wonderful reads and fond memories of Jenny.

Absolutely! I have far more than I could possibly get through in one month, thankfully. Hope you enjoy Romantic Outlaws!

What a great theme for Jennifer! And good to know All’s Well is at least interesting 🥰
🤗
I'm currently reading Interview with the Vampire and rereading Agnes Grey for the WeLoveJenny readathon. ❤
Great list! I'm reading The Double by Dostoevsky with Christy and Tiffany.
What a great buddy read group!
RIP, Jenny! ❤

Great choice! I have yet to read the 1818 edition but it’s on my list. I’m glad I will be supported by Jennifer recommendations for a long time ❤️
