Title: Watch how to fix the PIANO CHAIR broken leg! -
Your eye for colour matching is simply incredible. Another beautiful and ingenious restoration.
Reposition the threaded receiver for the seat! Genius. Beats drilling out the broken screws, plugging.
That looks amazing! I loved when you peeled off the masking tape and the leg looked like it had always been there.
You must be the man of 2000clamp by now mr A T however you do a very fine work. 🎓top of the class👨
Sir, you are a master at what you do. Not only did you repair the leg you made it look better than when it was brought in. I salute 🫡 you.
The repaired leg looks better than the original!
👍👍👍👏👏👏💥💥💥💯💯💯🤔🤦♀️🙋♀️
🤔 I appreciate that you not only have the tools to do the jobs, but you know how & when to use them, and apply your skills & experience that pull it all together. 💪😎 (showing that there's no such thing as a simple fix)
the color matching is what sealed the deal for me. amazing...
This is the first time I see this technique to produce a curved leg out of veneer slices. And I have seen hundreds of (antique) furniture restoration videos. Kudos for that from your old critics Jörg from Brandenburg (because of not using hide glue for joints) You are a master, even without hide glue ;-)
the master who fixes the disaster!!! bravissimo 🙂!!!
There's nothing more annoying than having to hand-screw something together ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx1McjgiqTNcTjrhvRvJWcrk5bzTeQW-Wn except for the pain in your wrist that is. This addition to my tool kit is great and I can get a lot done without all the pain and annoyance. The battery last's a long time and I have yet to run out of power when doing a small project (granted I am saying small project because I'm no construction worker). The only thing that I wish it had was an LED or pair of LEDs to indicate when it was charging and whether or not the charge was complete (or full).
Your talent is incredible! I am learning so much from you! Thank you!
excellent work! now we are spoiled and expect this from you all the time.
Good job , you can't even tell it was repaired !!
You have a beautiful eye for exquisite pieces. Beautiful repair
Great job! I enjoyed watching you repair this stool. Thanks for sharing with us.
Is always a pleasure watching a craftsman at work
I learn from every video
Another work of ART! You my friend are Awesome!
Another great job friend well done, have a nice day !!!.
You are extremely talented! Great job once again
This is an amazing restoration and repair job. I think the stool is now better than when it was new. The color matching on the new leg was so excellent. Thanks you for another great job and video!
Nice fix! 4:03 New Chinese screws are soft worthless things too!
It shows that you understand the properties of the wood and the knowledge and skill to make it do what you want.
You amaze me! 👍💙
Do you do this as a hobby or are you a professional furniture restorer? I love your work. 👍👍👍🇦🇺🇦🇺
Like it never happened! The greatest compliment a craftsman can get. Thanks again as always for you videos my friend. God bless. Rev. D.
Yey! Excellent result! Pretty good job!
Toujours un plaisir à regarder.
Comme d'habitude, un superbe travail. 👍👍👏👏👏🥂🥂👌👌
Very interesting process in shaping the veneer slices into a curved leg. Thank you Ahti!
Nice. Thank you for your video.
Well done!
Very nice
I do not believe I have anyone so skilled at repairing furniture, carving, making replacement parts and blending in the finishes so I cannot see any difference between the old and new finishes. You are a TOP NOTCH restoration professional and Your work is always enjoyable for me to watch!
Thanks Samuel!
Very nice indeed, a perfect match 👍
Excellent!
That was just so awesome
They don’t make them today as they used to earlier
And the artist that restored the beautiful piece of furniture, is truly an artist who restored it to its original likeness
Great video my friend, I learned something today
I have a chair lingering around that needed a curved piece. Though I know how to steam and bend it, I no longer have the space and tools. You have solved my problem as to how to reproduce the piece I need! Thank you!
Fantastically beautiful small table. I had a desk chair with a very beautiful marquetry as well, unfortunately it got out of hand in a move which I mourn today.
Carsten
I had a modern piano stool like this, and ultimately threw it away because the legs kept breaking. I couldn't even use it as a plant stand. So I got an antique piano stool with a swivel seat that raised and lowered on a huge internal screw mechanize, just like the one in the video, and all has been well since.
That was bloody amazing....Michelle McCulloch is right, your color matching is unbelievable. So well done!
Thank you so much for posting, always learn a bunch from your work!
Enjoyed it!
Fabulous
Amazing!❤️
That was fascinating to watch! Ive never seen the veneer slices bent like that- i imagine something like this is done for guitars 🎸 ? Muisic editing was perfect 👌🏽- keep up the good work!
Perfect!
Magical.
Beautiful as usual.
Your just amazing with restoring furniture n how you match the stain. I’m sure you’ve learn this by experience. I’ve said this many times. I would sit all day like a little kid n watch you work . I can eat that stuff up. I’ve learn many of your tricks . That stool looks like it’s brand new now. Amazing!!
♥️♥️😊👍
Will attempt this with pie side table. Thanks for great video
WOW, Ahti. Your color matching skills are incredible. Such a cool technique of using the thin pieces of veneer to make a sheet of “plywood” and making that curve. Another beautiful restoration.💜
Perfect
Hi AT beautiful restoration good job well done mister
Wow!
I used a similar technique to replace the rockers on a child size rocking chair. The original rockers were too weak to use as forms to bend the new oak laminations, so I traced the rocker curve on a 2 x 6 to make a form to bend the oak laminations. The seat banding repair was very nice.
A pleasure to watch, as always, thank you. I admire your skill.
I've been looking for a piano stool for some time, they are hard to come by. Beautiful job!
Perfecto !!!
great job!! thanks for the video 😊👍🏼
Ficou muito bom!!! Parabéns!!!
Wonderful work :)
So amazing! You’re very talented and artistic. I’m always impressed with your repairs. Some really great videos! Thank you for sharing with us!
Mais um excelente trabalho. Parabéns 👏👏🇧🇷
Olá
Tudo bem?
Meus parabéns, seu trabalho é maravilhoso.
Well done! I was impressed by the complexity of the leg repair and the simplicity of the broken screw repair. I noticed that while the seat was inverted on the bench that at some point in the past the screw appeared to have been removed, spun roughly 45 degrees, and reattached. Is that why the seat spun uneven on the screw at the end or was the seat not a perfect circle?
👍🌟
😃
Again you did an excellent job, the customer will be happy with their restored piano seat. I'm curious to know how much work time you spend on a single piece. The video can show the start and end time of your work ( its only a suggestion). Your videos really please me!!!⚘
I think, this took about 4 hours.
@@atrestorationplus , 4 hours!!! So nice job!
Ilus, Ahti!
En
Not exactly. Plywood veneer grains alternately run perpendicular to each other.
Broken leg? What broken leg?
The pianist was too heavy for that chair?
Heavy metal pianist for sure.
Was that a wad of chewing gum on the underside of the seat?! 😬
You didn't explain well where the piece upon which you assemble and conform the plywood layers comes from. If it is the original leg, the curvature of the new piece couldn't be correct.
It was part of the old leg, I just added new layers to it and curvature was the same.
Not much help to someone without hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars of machinery and tools.
Nie lepiej kupić nowy zamiast takie pierdółki pokazywać?
