Did you guys see Tom Hardy in Bronson? He was so good.
REACT TO BLACK SWAN PLEASE 🫶🏻
The woman who tried to out bid Tommy on the horse. Is Tom Hardy's real wife 👍🏼
The actor that plays Michael is the brother of the actor that plays John,,, Finn Cole and Joe Cole
The whole “ They didn’t fight , so they stayed kids.” Is one of the Top five hardest lines in this show.
@@danielgardecki1046 "Yeah, it is" :D
I love Tommy and Ada's relationship throughout the series. She's the only sibling he treats close to an equal. Fun fact: the actress playing May (the trainer) is Tom Hardy's wife.
I appreciate that Tommy has such respect for Ada even though they're very different, she's a communist, she didn't go to war, she doesn't participate in the family business, and of course she's a woman, but she has a good head on her shoulders unlike Arthur and John. The only thing Tommy truly respects is intelligence.
ADA is A hypocrite man. Using shelby name to her Advantage while Blaming
@@sahirumanuwara163 She pretty consistently tries to dissociate herself from the family, but Tommy keeps her in his orbit. She may as well use it to her advantage. What choice does she have?
It's a well known secret that Tom bats for both teams 🏳️🌈.
@@unmothered333 Yeah but it's kind of messed up for her to be asking what's going on with the Shelby business when she's yelling "I'm not a Shelby I'm a Thorne!" every five minutes. Either she's a Shelby, or she's not.
9:24 The fact that Tommy has his gun out too implies he was playing Cowboys with Arthur and John. That's nice.
I love how they all immediately welcome Micheal into the family. My favorite scene in the entire season is when John talks to Polly to convince Polly to be around the Boys. He can see Micheal is a good kid who just wants to be part of the family and is curious about their lifestyle. He can see Polly is trying to protect him but you can see he truly got to her when they talked. At Micheal's age John was in the trenches with his brothers killing many and watching even more get killed. The look Polly gives John as he walks away always gave me chills
"NOT DISCUSSED!" never gets old 😂😂😂😂
The actress playing Lady May Carleton is Charlotte Riley .....Mrs Tom Hardy
Wow really
@@Pk_1911 Yep, how professional considering the type of scenes she has with Cillian... who is a good friend of Tom's.
@@Teddy-zr8yv yes those scenes could have “crossed the line”. 😉
and john and michael are brothers irl!
@@danielgardecki1046 English is not my first language so I make mistakes , Thank you for embarresing me on a public platform , Real Alpha male behaviour ....See ! I'm learning sarcasm also
I love Alfie Solomon so much. He's completely off his rocker but such a good character.
Alfie cracks me up in every scene he’s in. 😊
Sam Neil kills it in this series. When you really hate a character that means the actor is at the top of his game.
Like Ralph in Sopranos
@@LaCheeserie Ralphie was so much fun to watch. Such a good actor Joe Pantoliano. He steals every scene.
Sam Neil can do no wrong in any movie/tv show in my opinion. Three of my fave characters of his: Damien Thorn, (The Omen 3), Thomas Wolsey, (The Tudors), and Victor Komorovsky, (Doctor Zhivago)
The “Sheffield mobs” being mentioned was meant to be an Easter Egg for future seasons when Sean Bean was supposed to make a cameo as the head of the Sheffield mob George Moony, based on a real gangster from the time but unfortunately the schedules couldn’t be worked out and the idea got shelved. It would have been immense to see Ned Stark interacting with Tommy Shelby and Alfie Solomons.
I didn't know that fact, so interesting to learn Sean Bean could've been in the show.
In fact, can you imagine Tom Hardy in Game of Thrones? What would have been a good role for him?
@@trottheblackdog I could Imagine him in a prequel as a young Barristan Selmy or as Ned’s older brother Brandon Stark
Oh what could of been. That would have been brilliant
Major Campbell recommending the Daily Mail always gets a laugh out of me.
If you didn’t know already, the actor who plays Sabini, also played the guy who chopped off Jamie Lannister‘s hand.
Locke?? Was that his name?
To be fair I think Arthur was telling her to go home and keep being a mom that can raise her children with more than she’s had instead of turning into a murderer…
Fun fact: the actors who play Michael and John are brothers in real life
was just about to say this!
@@Gecko.... yes they are. they don't have to look alike but they are literally blood brothers, they have same last name + talked about it before. is ur google broken? u don't have to take this persons word for it yknow.
12:36 The kid who played Voldemort in the scenes with Prof. Slughorn was actually the same actor who played Nick in Fear The Walking Dead. And the actor who played Nick is also the son of the actor who played Stannis Baratheon. But yeah, Michael's actor and Nick's actor could be brothers. Speaking of brothers, Michael's actor and John's actor are brothers in real life. Everything's connected! Lol.
Oh don't worry Michael isn't a spy, just a sociopath.
They could've done so much with his character but they messed up his writing
He isn’t a sociopath. Michael is a great character, in fact, I myself hated how they did his character. In the end, I hated Tommy.
Ugh I love Michael and Alfie so much, sometimes I skip to this season while rewatching just to watch their intros again
If you guys wanna see Tom Hardy being mental, watch Bronson. It's a biopic about the UK's most dangerous prisoner. Charlie Bronson, who is proper mad.
@@danielgardecki1046 i worked with a guy years ago who was studying criminal psychology, and he'd met him as a study etc they became friends and used to write and ring each other. Very random. Small world eh lol
Or the miniseries The Take.
The contrast is between Michael and the Digbeth Kid. Michael and the kid were both brought up outside the criminal world. The kid was naive and childish, Michael was calm and perceptive. It shows that Michael was born to be a Peaky Blinder
Michael was Voldemort as kid!! He was asking Prof Slughorn how a Horcrux works
No, young Voldemort was Frank Dillane. He played Nick, in the Fear the walking dead.
Michael is Finn Cole.
But they do look alike, ppl might confuse them
There are a lot of Peaky Blinders reactions, yours, as with other series I have seen like Better Call Saul, are the most most insightful and good to watch. Here in the UK the show, in its original BBC broadcast, was a sleeper hit, steadily gaining ground before really being big.
Musicians requested doing versions of Red Right Hand’ or just including their songs, as they were fans of the show. David Bowie did and lived just long enough to see one of his used.
Nice sarcasm in that early scene, though UK centric culturally, ‘the Daily Mail, it’ll broaden your mind’.
Linda! Holds onto the falling table LINDAAAA! 😂
and
The differences between rum and bread is not discussed NOT DISCUSSED! 👌🏻
When it comes to Michael, you gotta remember that he was 5 years old when he was ripped away from Polly. Yes he may have been young, but still old enough that something as traumatizing as that would stick with him throughout his upbringing, and on top of that, his adoptive family was feeding him lies about where he came from.
So while his initial introduction to the show definitely seems sketchy (for the totally valid reasons that you guys mentioned), if you put yourself in his shoes, having grown up the way he did while knowing a big part of his life in the country was a lie (hence his monologue about the well), you can kind of see a glimpse of how he must’ve felt all those years in such an idyllic place while knowing there was a whole other side of him that was taken.
You’ve probably been told this already. But the actors playing Michael and John are brothers irl. A little fun fact!
Nikki is smart and funny, but when she self-corrects and re-analysizes, she's brilliant.
Steven's deep dives and analyses are illuminating.
As much as y'all act silly and have fun, this channel wouldn't work with two unintelligent people. Well done.
❤
17:20 - I don't know who this actress is or if it's the same woman who played this character in season 4 BUT PROPS TO HER! She was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE in this scene! 👏
Red Right Hand, is still my ring tone
Here we go! Michael’s ego is already on show. Polly is his plot armour
Kind of a spoiler
@@OPTIMUSCRIME02 they’re on season 5 it’s okay
Michael could've been such a good character if they didn't mess up his character
@@Heisenberg882 how did they mess up his character lol, they decide what character he is. he isn't your character.
@@a.a677 Yeah, and you can write a poorly written character lol
love ur reactions to this series keep it up!
One of my favourite episodes. It gets better and better.
RIP Digbeth Kid
That part always breaks my heart :/ Had forgotten about it until this 😫
Trivia facts: the actors playing John Shelby and Michael are brothers in real life: Joe cole and Finn cole. Also, Finn cole plays a very similar role in a TV show called animal kingdom, that i think you would enjoy very much. A criminal family with a strong matriarch
You probably already know this but, the actor who played Finn's Animal Kingdom character in the original movie shows up in later in Peaky Blinders and plays a character close to Michael.
@@pisto30 i havent watched the whole series Yet.
@@LauPulstar I thought as much. Trying not to be too spoilery. LOl.
😂😂 I wrote the same comment basically then saw this reading others
Might have to become a member just so I can watch these reactions as soon as possible 😂 Whenever it's a show I've watched I wanna see what other think especially as a Englishman I wanna see what Americans think lol
I think these guys are Italian, I heard that in the last video, I think.
If you like Tom Hardy in this ,you would love the tv show Taboo . It's only one season but 8 think it's one of the best shows ever made.
I love that show! I've actually just watched it a second time. Tom Hardy is amazing 😍
Absolutely love Taboo!
I think Tom is working on season 2 right now.
Yesssssssss
@@anycullen21 I hope so , they left open for a second season. But also closed enough to stand alone .
Arthur + Tokyo = Mike Tyson
Right from the beginning Michael is Michael with scene with Tommy if you know you know. Great show.
Love love Tom hardy as alfie! It took me awhile to realize it was him which shows how good he is! Ada is one of my favs through the whole series!
im so excited that u guys are reacting to my favorite tv show ever, thank u guys !
Fun fact! The horse trainer lady is Tom Hardy's wife in real life
Yesss my day has been revived 🎉
In case you guys are wondering, the Black Country an area in the UK to the west and slightly north of Birmingham. Birmingham being the starting city for the Peaky Blinders.
The character of Sabini is played by the same actor, Noah Taylor, who cut Jamie Lannister's hand off in Game of Thrones.
Dear steven: considering how much you like the " By order of the peaky blinders" stuff, In the next episode Arthur will recite the best one of the entire series... in my opinion of course
Michael is John's brother in real life. He also plays another character very similar to this in Animal Kingdom. Yall would love that show
The actors that play John and Michael are brothers in real life. Joe and Finn Cole
Rewatching this with yall really makes me appreciate the Michael scenes more
Pretty sure this is my favourite PB episode, I also had the biggest guest crush on Michael tbh 😅
Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds elevate the show with the soundtrack. Matched with covers and songs of PJ (polly) Harvey wraps it in the perfect package. Get yourselves some of the Cave albums, epic driving songs
i went throuhg like 6 bottles of whiskey watching this series lol its soooooo good ..
Ada is insufferable here. She was pretty happy to ignore how the house was bought when she arrived, smiling and in awe. Once settled, she condescends Tommy and her family.
I’m so excited for you to watch season 4. A scene with possible the best acting in I’ve ever seen!!!!!!!!
Tommy knows what he is doing
You guys should watch Animal Kingdom it’s great show as well. it’s also about a crime family from Australia they also have a movie about
Re Michael, if you believe in DNA memory, or nature overriding nurture, he may be naturally drawn to the risky lifestyle. Pair that with being brought up in a small conservative village where he felt repressed, he's justready to explode
One of my best buddies from the Army was unfortunately a lot like Arthur. I woke up to him waking up from passing out drunk trying to choke me to death. He was one of those guys that went to Iraq when it was still Iraq and was so messed up they couldn’t let him stay in the infantry. He was literally too dangerous. Back in the Wild West days of UA-cam we would watch overhead footage of actual umm. You know. And we watched his own… patrols and firefights.
Loved your reaction as always. You should watch society of the snow. It's a great movie and I would love to hear what you have to say about that one
It is cool to disclose possible scenarios for us to have a conversation about. Ut does seem sus that Michael is injected in the "life"
Everyone here is breath-taking, but we lost so much, in acting terms, with the passing of Helen McCrory. She was, by all accounts, an amazing, wonderful person in real life.
So interesting you clued into red flags with Michael. I never noticed those things first time out.
Peaky blinders is popular with reactors right now struggle nation and digesis are reacting to peaky blinders as well at same time
"I recommend (reading) The Daily Mail. It will broaden your mind".
Lol. A little joke for the 21st century British audience.🤣
"Thomas Shelby?" "How about you met Arthur? Nice to meet you" proceeds to destroy the guy's head
Michael’s character is great in Animal Kingdom
Polly is the Gemma i wish Gemma would’ve been like
By order of the fookin peaky blinders
❤❤❤❤ I'm hoping 3 body problem is next on Netflix for reactions I'm telling you it's worth the time
Nikki.. Your comment about Arthur art the end.. "What a vast difference". Obviously referring to the borthers is the crux of the show I think. They aren't cookie cutter gangsters... They all have their foibles and quirks... Loving EVERYTHING I've seen so far... Two seasons of Reacherr, 1 and a half seasons of Peaky Blinders and the firs episode of Sons of Anarchy. Loving watching these programmes that I have seen and am now reliving them.
Love watching the show with you both Tom Hardy is amazing I've see all his movies you should watch Lawless he is awesome in it
Are you going to react to Shogun it's only 10 episode mini series with no season 2 could squeeze it in between this show. It's Game of Thrones good
Nikki, let's hear a promo on bread and rum 😂😂😂
The line you have other kids because if you actually shoot Arthur you're going to die and those kids aren't going to have a parent. It's not meant to say oh you have other kids so your child I killed doesn't matter
Alfie!, Alfie!
U must see SHOGUN. I think u will like it
Tommy sees the real Michael...
The actor's thats playing micheal and jon shelby are actually brothers
23:35 oh, but it was, but it was lol, you think Tommy is a good guy ? It was literally a pawn in the grand strategy of Tommy fucking Shelby, playing his aunt as well
Hey, didya know Michael and John are…. 😂😂
😂😂😂
the actress that plays may is tom hardy's wife in real life
The actors who play John and Michael are brothers in real life
Polly is based on Stephen Wrights Aunt.
I love May.
Michael is a caractor that you will love to hate
Oh yes, the "Shelby's are still very bad fucking people" reminder episode.
Interesting fact: the actors for Michael and John are brothers in real life.
You guys should watch The Accountant with Ben Affleck it’s really really good
Are you guys gonna do the new Roadhouse. I want to see your reaction to Conor on the big screen
Nahh not worth it, would be much more fun to react to the original in the unlikely event they have not seen it.
Don't know if anyone has mentioned this to you guys yet but Tom Hardy's character is loosely based upon a real gangster called Alfred Solomon.
The characters of Darby Sabini and Billy Kimber (series 1) were also based upon real gangsters of the same names from the time period.
28:33 - Tom Hardy's wife. 😍
Ill only say this bc i know your seasons ahead on Patreon, i have a theory Michael lacks a sense of empathy. I think he can feel attached or even possesive of something or someone but i dont believe his character has a sense of functioning empathy
tom hardy and charlotte ridley (may carlton) are married 10 years this year 🥰🩷
Steven's you are not going to be happy with luca changretta please get to season 3🤣🤣
He's not in season 3
Did you know that the actors who play Michael and John are brothers?
😊❤❤
Michael has limitations!
Yea yall got your tin foil hats on
Patiently waiting for a fallout reaction
Plz watch Boardwalk Empire nobody has a watch through of it on UA-cam and it's fantastic and has an amazing cast.
Mae is Tom Hardy's wife
Sabini is the guy who chopped off jamie lannisters hand
