There's no doubt that if this man were alive now, he would be receiving the Kennedy Center Honor...he was a legend....a LEGEND........
+Felix Papadakis Amen!! He is a Legend. Great comment Felix.
Amen to that
I agree, one of the best ever
Absolutely. Smooth and simple, but very creative. Most underrated artist of all time
He was the best. And so cool.
I was 15 when he died, I remember crying that day I'll still play the style of his guitar player Maury I still play that style today. What great songwriter I love the Capo use of Maury really gives a harpsichord kind of sound. You will always be missed and Maury also I used to play these records to the needle went through them.
They died when I was only 13. My mother used to play the albums on the old stereo while I was at church on Sunday mornings. How I miss them both.
He really was timeless as they say. I'd love to get all those on cd but having the old lp's is pretty cool after all these years and am v. glad for UA-cam.
Good luck w/ your hunting. I'm sure you'll find out, as so many have, that there are songs that never made the 'Top-10' song lists that are every bit as good as the hits if not better. He's got lots of 'Boxcar' songs out there.
He was such a huge part of my youthful taste in music and I still listen to him when I need to chill out.
The picture of them on the plane is haunting. RIP Jim and Maury... I never knew you but it seemed like I did.
I've seen Jim croco in person year of 1973s
Right be for his death in the same year 1973s
Jim was a nice guy looked the same in person as he did in his beautiful hit's!
Thanks!!
@@marlenetrimnal4368 It was a time of change... somehow we made it this far.
man I miss jim and his sweet music I have to listen o him time and time again seems so many songs we can relate to
I know everyone can relate to this legendary song at least some-point in his or her life... I know I most certainly can... Life is a journey of the unexpected misfortunes, and the most amazingly warranted accomplishments... Honestly, I would not want it any other way...
I worked at a homeless shelter in Nashville. This story and many similar were heard a lot.
SUCH AN INCREDIBLE TALENT AND SONG WRITTER! HE IS REALLY MISSED
Poor Jim and Maury. This song always gets me. Bob Dylan don't got shit on Croce

Gone way to soon
Jim Croce was so talented. He died too young. Nadine
At least you can understand what Jim is singing.
Jim and Maury were so amazing!!! Incredible, really.
When I was a kid, I thought he was saying "she didn't care in the Sunday mission box number 10". lolz
who's the loser who hit thumbs down
Yeah, and that's pretty much what his promoters did to him and Maury.
Because as soon as they got m' bread, I got a pipe upside my head. You know they lef' me in an alley, took m' money and m' guitar too...
