On the Imalent lux reading you said you were going to multiply it by 16 but you typed in 13. Not sure if that matters just something I noticed. Thank you for the video.
Assault Avocado yeah and the result seemed very low to me, should have been up near 800m not 545, didnt look to be on turbo. I was buying a thrower but Im buying the DX80 as its virtually doing both due to its power.
@@scannerguy1968 I'd like to see the Imalent DN35 up against it for the smallest light to output ratio. The DN35 is only 113mmx38mm. Pretty crazy to see something so small with similar performacne. I do love the Catapult V6 also and that class of small 26650 throwers!
@@CTROCK My friend has it. We recently went and tested some in a field including the TN42 and Imalent RT35 and the most impressive is still the V6 to me. Because its pocketable and doing 75% of the distance if the big throwers to my eye. I just ordered the Lumintop ODL20C becuase I think it will be a great light with similar distance but fatter hot spot. We also tested my Convoy C8+ and that might be the best budget flashlight but not close to the V6 performance wise.
Only if you keep it on Turbo for a long time. Always keep my Catapult V6 , TH10 V-2 and TC20 with me, In my opinion the best thrower, headlamp, and flood trio That's small and powerful and gets the job done.
Hi, the lumintop GT mini is considerably cheaper than the thrunite V6 catapult. I'd go as far as to say it's also considerably smaller. Is the V6 worth the extra? Thanks
Have the awesome v6, but I like the look of the Imalent Rt35 as an upgrade ! Great video because we’re really only interested in seeing the highest setting of each flashlight
Difficult without having both lights together to test ! Certainly the Amazon site says neutral white! Compared with the Gt mini which is a much more colourful & softer light .
I would let Texas Ace work on your BLF GT......... He did mine with an XHP 70.2 Cool White and some custom Cooling and man....... Yes buddy makes a very big difference...... Thanks for the video.....
Hi scannerguy1968, I understand at the time the Thrunite TN42 came out as I already had the K70 I couldn’t justify buying the TN42 with it’s slightly improved performance and I did and still do like the K70’s tactical tail switch and the magnetic ring! But I was surprised at how the TN42 was on par or better than the BLF GT and at a much smaller profile had I known that I might have passed on the BLF GT and purchased the TN42!! But I have no plans to part with my Acebeam K70 for the reasons I mentioned but I may part with the BLF GT as it is just huge and not very practical... Thanks for the video Todd and Happy Lumens
Love the thought of the v6 but can’t pull the trigger when lights like the ft03 exist for 50% less money. Thrunites are awesome, but so are some other “budget” lights like haekelight, mateminco, convoy and astrolux.
Ok, do I go the DX80? I wanted a thrower with spill but for the $$$ the DX80 looks to do both flood and throw, bit concerned about their quality control. What do you reckon?
Dx80 is actually an awesome all around light. Wow factor and all. It's big but can be used for so much. Throw is good and flood is plain wicked. As far as quality control I've had no issues with mine is all i know.
@@scannerguy1968 Hmmmm, cheers, loving the videos by the way, if you were to recommend a thrower in the mid budget range (IE: not the BLF), maybe around $200-$300 US? Was also looking at Thrunite TN40 & 42
I have the dx80 i love it but my did stop working I got it fix but it not the same anymore and it not cheap so it not like I can just buy a replacement for it
dont think your blf gt was in turbo...i have a vn modded tn42, that tests about 700k lux, and 2 blf gt lights... they both test 1.1 to 1,2 million lux ....theres quite a diff between my tn42 throw and my blf gt lights might want to check your gt make sure its going into turbo.you have to really do the double click very quick on these lights that blf gt is a 2000 meter light on a bad day

Holy cow. Yeah that is why it came up low. Had no idea till now. Should of been over 800 meters easy. Sorry and thanks for pointing that out.
Assault Avocado Should be 1,130.52200332
1,100 meters
Thrunite Catapult V6 can't be beat for its size period.
True

I have the Thurnite v6, is a dam good flashlight but it get hot to fast!

I think it is. Battery life and all
I'm curious if you have looked into the olight javalot pro yet? It's quite impressive for its size
I'd like to see the Imalent R90C compared to the big boys. Love that light. Great review - thanks!
noticed that on the imalent, you multiplied by 13 instead of 16. just fyi! thanks for the vid
I seen that also, i have one and distance is wrong for that light
I saw that error too, hmmm.
@@jstoneracing does it have more or less reach?

Did you go for the cool or neutral white tint? Which you recommend for the v6?
I chose the Natural , only because I prefer a more whiter light than a softer toned one !
Neutral white
Robatman oh that’s interesting. I would have thought the cool white would have been more of a whiter light when lighting up stuff as it’s brighter.

Might try that. Thanks
Long overdue! My kind of review!
For throwers and floods, do you prefer cool white? Or cool white for throwers and neutral for floods?
Where did your Acebeam K70 go? The K70 is still my favorite large thrower!! The BLF GT is just too big but fun to play with!!
Well I sold it and kept the tn42 due to a little better throw. But I sure miss the magnetic switch on it.

thank you very much. I made a choice based on your films and am very pleased. (I bought a odl20c) thanks again =)
ODL20C is a very good flashlight! I bought one a month ago for $60 with battery and free shipping! I have a Thurnight v6 is bad ass to!

Hei Where is your ACEBEAM W30 Throw 2500m range Video Demo....!! & also Acebeam T27 Video too....!!!
Thanks for the review. My next one is astrolux ft03
Go for it!, FT03 in SST-40 is phenomenal..
Where is the Acebeam K70 in this lineup?
Tip:
"If you press "Ans" button, it will use the last result calculated before, that is helpfull when you need to retype many results"
Did all these use the same emitter?
Exvelent stuff. Very helpful
For the price and size of the BLF gt, I’d say the tn42 is a better buy

You need an ft03
Agreed! For $30 you can't go wrong.
Wowtac a4 v2 is a great light
That was fun...
TN42 looks awesome. Kills the V6 by the looks of it.
RT35 he said divided by 16 but he divided by 13.
You need FTO3
My astrolux MF04 beats them all.
