Is it just me or has gymnastics these days gone really messy and butch? Hardly ever seeing anything thats aesthetically pleasing and graceful, it's just power, move to move with some mess in between, I think if you go for difficulty and you can't do it without looking messy and oafish there should be deduction.

Isis Howison Well it is ARTISTIC gymnastics you know, "aesthetical things" are "serious" too and if you want to see just strenght and height go and watch trampoline.

She would be deducted for those messier elements but not for her body type. She is build like Simone Biles, short and stocky, which means she is not going to look like Sanne Weivers or Aliya Mustafina on beam. I would not call an 18 year old young woman butch because of her body type. What she does do it very difficult and when she does land it all well, she is capable of a high score. Claudia is a floor and vault gymnast, who is weakest on bars but can do well on beam too. Becky Downie, Amy Tinkler, Catherine Lyons, Geogia Mae Fenton and Gabby Jupp are more beautiful and elegant on beam. Also look up Teja James, Maisie Methun, who are coming up through the juniors too.
