Hi Mark, I met Russell briefly at Colwyn Bay KTM today as he was collecting a new 690. Fingers crossed you’ve got some more TAT episodes in the pipeline??
I'm excited to see the full series. It will be an interesting comparison between the 690 and the two BIG adv bikes. I'm on a KLR, but considering the KTM 690 or even dropping down to a DRZ 400 or even a 250 class bike for the weight. Any insights you have would be greatly appreciated!
The KLR will be fine for the TAT. I would not recommend changing to a smaller capacity bike. Just ride ✊there is so much to see 👍

The shipping was easy. Customs in New York was more difficult - they had no idea what the rules were for bikes and our Shipping Agent had to call them several times to explain what they needed to do. :-)

What is up with that KTM not starting in traffic?
It was overheating and generally not very happy. It developed an issue with its injector as the trip progressed and would cut out, perhaps the issues in NYC were an early sign. Russ became an expert at stripping it down and cleaning the injector :-)
