I literally thought of calling this video "Confessions of a Target Worker." Since it's such a huge chain of stores, I thought some of few might have thought of working there at some point. I thought I'd share the application process and my experience with you if you're interested!

Tyler Lopez That’s not how it is for everyone. I worked at Target a couple months ago (seasonal) and the girls in softlines were my friends. Co-workers can easily be friends.

I had an interview a day ago haven’t herd back yet I emailed no response
VelvetMidnight no I agree with him, I mean as a introvert I wouldn’t ponder and mess around as a employee I will be focused on my job, I wouldn’t be a ass but I’m not gonna dick around
I still work t target and honestly I feel like so unwelcome ....the second I mess up and get off task its a problem but then when other people do it ,its alright.
I’m A squid same here, I work with a bunch of college age kids there that talk and cut up all day long and the minute i open my mouth for casual conversation to a coworker, there could be 5 minutes left in my shift and nothing else left to do and they're like "hey go do this" like i've got to be on task 24/7
I just applied for a position at Target! Thank you for making this video, definitely helps with my anxiety!

I did go back carts all days from 12 to 8pm! This company is like a joke! I had a similar experience but I was employed by Target as a Beauty Consultant because they are remodeling major target beauty areas and hiring Beauty Team Members. Not a good idea, the Beauty Concierge and I bumped heads everyday, I was a threat to her job..... not a joke! I got yelled at, asked if I wanted to fight and hated on by favoritism managers I was IN SHOCK by the harassment, discrimination and bullying the management allowed and also did themselves. Target of all places! WOW!! all you have to do is go on Indeed and Glassdoor reviews for this horrible place! check out the questions and answers section where tons of people are venting over they're terrible experiences working for Target and google search the lawsuits that have happened in the past! I thought it was just me, and yes they fired me THANK YOU Target for letting me leave that fucking hell hole!

I know this answer might be late but Target employees do get a discount but it's a 10% that only works with their card or cash

How was hardlines? Will they make you work other areas? I applied at Sams club for freezer and half the time I was working somewhere else
I believe they would like you to be a flexible employee working in other areas such as cash register if needed
Can I get a position there that doesn't require working the cash register or handling money? Are there any positions were I can avoid the cash register?

Why would they be?
That's literally all I do at my store. It's part of the job man. And you just gotta ask. I mean I did and now I can do returns, ship to store, flex orders and redcard payments. I also cover breaks and lunches for cashiers and self checkouts. And the LOD does more than what you think. They help out on the sales floor, they make sure everyone gets their job done, Because they have a boss also. I'm sure you guys had a visit here and there and understand how important that is for brand. If hard work isn't your thing then try something else.

F Target they have horrible managers horrible hours They make you work 4 hours a day customers are always annoying and they want you to sell red cards which you are stealing people’s social security numbers I always cringed and don’t even get me started about Black Friday. I worked at tarshit for 5 years and they blamed me for things I never did made me work every holiday always made me come in if people called out and had me work in electronics for Black Friday it was horrible. One only good redeeming quality is I met a couple good co workers along the way but stay away from this place.

They probably want you to be there when you are scheduled to be there.
