I just found you on a Rich Roll interview and then immediately subd. I love your enthusiasm! Lol, I frequently let people know that Google is their friend😅
Feeling so blessed that I live within walking distance from a vegetarian market that carries both the Hanna and Japanese varieties!!! They are both the best I agree! Prior to tasting them recently, thanks to you AJ, I was not a huge fan of sweet potatoes. The orange just aren't my cup of tea to chow down on either. Sweet potatoes are becoming my lunch go to!
So glad I have gotten past the food triggers to me things like good smells, sights, or sounds of food are like art, I can appreciate them, but I don't have to have them. They don't even seem like food to me anymore.❤️✨🌿✨
hi AJ.. can i ask the weight/size of how the rice noodles youre using here?...in your book you d9nt give an amt either and here in Australia im wondering if 400gms of dried rice noodles would be about wgat youre using in total there?..ok..i just saw you open a 2nd packet of noodles so how many ounces all up wouldve youve used do you think? thx Georganne xx
I have baked then frozen sweet potatoes and added them to chilis and soups and they were fine. I am not so sure about eating the actual frozen sweet potato. Feel free to experiment and report back. :)
Can't get any of these potatoes in the UK. We have one type of sweet potato that tastes like cooked carrot (and personally I don't like cooked carrots lol). Even with the help of Google. I wish we could get all these different potatoes.
Yeah, same thing in Poland :( This is why watching people from US cook is both fascinating and frustrating. I simply will not be able to get many things people use. From what I have seen situation in the UK is better (probably because of immigrants) when it comes to variety. In Poland there's no Asian market, for example. Still, I love watching Chef AJ because It makes me feel inspired ^^
She claims to not grow up eating salt and only tried it when she was 7 and hated it... But I just listened to her interview on the Rich Roll podcast and she talked all about how she grew up eating junk and processed foods! I'm confused.
Understandable. My parents and grandparents and aunts and uncles all had heart disease and were in their 50's when I was born. so no one COOKED with salt and we didn't have the option to add it at the table so I never liked the salty taste. I was a sugar addict and didn't eat things like chips. So when I was 7 I was given a pretzel rod with the slat on the outside and it was gross to me I am sure there was sodium in the processed cereals and baked goods I ate but they did not TASTE salty. Does this help to clarify it?
Yes yes this makes sense! I grew up very similar. My parents and caregivers raised me very very healthy. They never cooked with salt either so I didn't even know what it tasted like. Yes, I still had baked goods and certain processed treats. But just like you, I didn't know what added salt in food and "salty" really tasted like. I understand now!
What kind of potato are you using for toast? Sometimes you talk so fast that I can not catch what you are saying. Often I have to keep hitting reply! I just could not understand what you were saying this time! Thank you.
I placed my very first order with California Balsamic last night! So excited to try!!! Kenny is awesome too! Loved this video!
I noticed what causes bloating is refined sugar or concentrated sugar (with coffee, in jams, sodas, dry fruits etc.).
AJ , I picked up all the potatoes 🥔 you mentioned here in Maine at the Belfast Co-op. So people don’t forget your local natural food co-ops too.
An egg slicer works well on strawberries and mushrooms!!
Indeed!

Hi Chef AJ, do you think for the toast you could also use a regular potato too and get great toast-like texture and taste?
Nope. Tried it it doesn't work.

It's my fav!

Do you hv a gf vegan bread recipe that works in conjunction w/ your dietary plan? TY! 🌱💜
Chef AJ- I tried to google this, but couldn't find the answer :). Why don't you eat beans? I assume lentils are OK or are you legume free?
Legume intolerat
can I preorder kindle version of the book???
No it's not out yet. You only get the bonuses with the actual book.
CHEF AJ What do I need to do if I want to get the book as soon as possible (when it will be out)??:))) exciting!!!
Gee, and all this time I thought if you macerate too much you'll go blind or something. Thanks AJ, I'm off to get busy, looks amazing!
Tee Hee!
Pretty humorous!
:)
I didn’t get the sauce that you used with the pinto beans .
Pico de gallo
Would you consider freezing cooked sweet potatoes and make them into an “ice cream” like people do in the yonana machine?
I have baked then frozen sweet potatoes and added them to chilis and soups and they were fine. I am not so sure about eating the actual frozen sweet potato. Feel free to experiment and report back. :)
I have done that but you have to add fruit or it's not sweet
OMG! I remember FEDCO! Somewhere in LA Area - not down town. LOL!
It was in Van Nuys near Roscoe. It's a Target now
I thought your shirt said Vegas in honor of the meeting.

We never had sweets at home. I still don't desire sweets like most people do and my friends can't believe it! A taste is all I need😊
I ate all the sugary ones, not the salty snacks.
Did you just say you can't eat beans anymore ? Why ?
legumes intolerant
