- This race Corvette has a 1.001 CUI V8, yeas 1.001!!! It produces 1.600 HP!
It sounds awesome.
This video was shot at US Car Joy Cruise & Meet 2015 in Denmark. - Авто та транспорт
“Hey billy, I got an idea for that corvette engine we’re making. What if each cylinder was the size of two 1000CC engines?”
I have no idea how I got here, but am really happy I did.
That car is so crazy it brings a smile to your face!
My speakers? Not so much...
i realize it is kinda off topic but do anybody know of a good site to watch new series online?
@Tate Jeremias I would suggest Flixzone. Just search on google for it =)
@Kenneth Dexter Yup, I have been watching on flixzone for months myself =)
Each cylinder is 2.1 litres lol.
America
Sooo basically 8 Honda 4 cylinders all crammed together to make one v8 lol
Madness! Wonderful madness - thanks for uploading!!
Thanks for posting this, I'm waiting to see this crazy engine in action!
He posted some dyno tests and stuff a while back, but haven't seen any more on this 1000Cui BEAST.
Probs blew the heads lol
@@LS_Sauceboss Bahaha, I was thinking an oil sheik in Dubai probably bought it to get an example of American muscle for his garage.
I thought a straight piped 454 running on meth sounded good. I was wrong.
454 is pretty much what was big in 1969. The world has moved on since.
they still make them and they have gotten better
454 is still big, but this is colossal
so when you go to a car meeting on a sunday on 6 am your neighbourhood wil be angry i think xD
Ahem! Excuse me sir, would you like a little car to go with your engine?
The funny thing is, that he claims it is a street engine not a race engine!!
The car on the other hand......
Cruisers Camera it could definitely be street legal depending on the state he lives in. So long as the block is based off of an existing design and the main chassis points of the car are still there it could be titled as a kit car. If he designed the engine himself from the ground up, you can go through the paces to get it approved and legalized for street use, but that is rarely worth it. It'd be nice if he was a bit less secretive about it, but I can't find hardly any hard numbers on it.
It is definitely not street legal in Denmark where he lives, but he told me that since he could drive it to the gas station and run on regular gas, that was his definition for a street engine :-)
@@CruisersCamera here in America, so long as it passes street inspection, it’s street legal, even if it’s all race parts! In some states, all you need is lights and a plate to make nascars street legal!
Forreal things a beast
Dam, not showing the motor is like going to a strip show and only seeing the bartender 😩🙀😤
But gee, it did sound good..👍😀
Stay tuned for next week, where Special Guest Mopar builds a 2,002 Cubic Inch Supercharged Hemi V8 and drops it into the nearest minivan!
Now we need a v10 mad like this :edit made
I like how everyone stands back
It’s like an African tribe banging drums in my ear canal
Look at me, I am de Kaptan now

One of the coolest videos this year, anyone that says otherwise is pointless
Michael Campbell thank you! I just think it is great that homemade engineering is getting this much attention from around the world
I want my engine to sound like this.
How was your hearing after?
The motor mount’s probably are bigger than a 4 banger engine lmao
Sounds like a rapid fire cannon..........Yahooooo!!
1600hp all motor! FTW!
hertzer2000 that's pump glass on 112 octane it makes 2100hp
Acid Tv but what if I put 2-bar turbo system on it ?😆😉
What's astonishing to me isn't the h.p., what's astonishing is getting the much h.p. to the ground.
Ngeri tenan mbah
Wkowwkwowk
100 grand later...
What year is that corvette?
It just a fiberglass body for a tube chassis, not a true vette body
So does this mean it only makes noise??
No, it drives.
That is not alot of HP for 1000 cid super cobra jet got that with only 5 liters!!!???
Jamie Phillips it's an old-school engine with carburetors. No fuelinjection, no ECU, no poweradders that runs on pump gas. So it's making more power pr cui than a 572 straight from GM
cobra jets are supercharged, this is naturally aspirated
This engine is naturally aspirated running on pump gas. Running it on race fuel like Sunoco supreme 112 would get you around 2100-2200 hp, still naturally aspirated. That's insanity. Supercharging or turbocharging it could easily put it into the 4-5k HP range with good fuel flow and being tuned right. It's a freaking monster
1001 Ci big block and all it has is just 1600hp???? It needs some boost it should easily make 3k plus
Yah but its 1600hp fully aspirated. It easy would top 3k hp with power adders.
That’s when everything disintegrates
with nitromethane and a roots compressor or even 2 roots compressor 20k hp should be no problem
You never juiced the throttle once. Do you even know how to drive?
Ok poser 👌
@@richiesworld1 right.
ua-cam.com/video/zZgQE7jRxh4/v-deo.html
1600 hp seems low for 1001 ci.
jack Clark NA no poweradder and on pump gas.
pump gas makes more sense. thanks, kiler engine for sure.
The best naturally-aspirated engines from Porsche, Ferrari etc are at 130bhp/litre these days ;-)
Still, for an old-tech slow-revving HUGE displacement pushrod V8, 100bhp/litre is a hell of an achievement, hats off!
Richard Harrold
Slow revving? Try 8500 rpm redline.
You have to understand that these engines make power in a different way. The way they make torque, is completely different than the high VE engines. When it comes to acceleration, it's simple. HP moves cars off the showroom floor, but torque moves cars down the track.
You're shitting me! Assuming this is a Sonny's Racing Engines motor, their 1000ci monster has a 5.875in stroke, which would mean that, at the highest mean piston speed possible (just over 5000ft/min), it would be turning 5200rpm. At 8500rpm, it would be turning at a MPS 66% higher than any of the modern crop of crazy-high-revving DOHC motors (Ford Voodoo, Audi RS4, Honda S2000...) - you're also looking at a piston area pretty much double that of the Voodoo (the biggest-bore of those engines), so presumably a piston mass at least double that (plus I'm guessing the piston skirts, wrist pin etc are more heavily built)... which means the engine has to accelerate, decelerate and reverse the direction of at least double the reciprocating mass (without allowing for heavier rods being required)...
Lousy Video...Yes I like the tail lights....
Sorry it is not to your liking, please show us all how to do it right!
