When she said it’s not flat I was shocked. She’s a cheerleader!! Our stomach holds our organs, our uterus, blood vessels, etc. it can’t be perfectly flat
The first bride was the sweetest girl and a beautiful smile. Her body was perfect for the dress she loved. Mother's dress shown too much cleavage and the bride didn't want to show cleavage. Too bad the bride had to leave without the dress she loved. Next time she should go by herself. Brides make a big mistake trying to please their mothers. The only person they should please is themselves. They are the one who' are wearing the dress not their mothers or the people they bring with them.
Agreed, what a horrible bully. That is probably nothing compared with what she has said to her daughters about their bodies all their lives. It is so gross. Did y'all miss the messaging about how to create eating disorders in your daughters? Women have to stop doing this to young girls and women who they supposedly love.
“It gives you a waist” as if she doesn’t have a Disney Princess hourglass! “Do something with the hips!” Man, I’m pretty sure nicer authority figures exist in prison camps. That’s some relentless, unsubtle brainwashing! Adult adoption, anyone? These girls need a new mom!
Horrible and I think maybe a jealous mom, I was 120 and a girlfriend of mine said yes I can see you have a bit of a problem there, (my stomach)and I thought how rude but I'd also never forgotten that. Now 40 years later my friend is over 200 lbs herself! I won't go there.
When the mom said “this isn’t flat” and pointed at her stomach I felt so sad for the bride. She has such a nice body and that first dress looked amazing on her
When her mom touched her stomach and said this isn’t flat. Made me cry. No person let alone a mom should say that to their daughter. This is why women are so self conscious. 🥺🥺 I thought she looked gorgeous.
Careful, Mom! That cross you're wearing may burst into flames! As they say, the only thing that likes a bone is a dog. But to be fair, the mom probably was body-shamed herself during her formative years, so she thinks it's acceptable. I certainly was. My son, studying psychology in college, said about this type of shaming, "These things stay with you for life." I said, "Yes, I know."
When the daughter was smiling through tears while talking about leaving w/o the dress I could tell that she's been conditioned to deal with this horrid mother. Terrible! Shame on her mom!
My mother is far worse but I can still relate to these girls. My sister and I know a mother’s torment. When I saw the sister crying, I really feel I knew their collective pain.
These mother destroy more than their daughter's self-esteem. Every rude and backhanded comment destroys their daughter's heart. And that will drive a deep wedge between them.

Yes, yes. Horrible mother is only interested in power and control. If she wants a PERFECT daughter she has a problem. The worldwide audience of UA-camrs can easily comment on what the mother was wearing. Mum is far from perfect. (Comment from Australia)
Oh god I feel so sad for her. I really think that she is one of the most beautiful brides i've seen in this show, and the dress was perfect on her. Having a toxic mother is just the worst.
The first mom isn’t there for her daughter, she’s there for herself, plain and simple. She’s living vicariously through the poor bride with no consideration for her daughter.
Correct! I get so angry when I watch this kind of mother/daughter tug of war over a dress! It's the BRIDE's day, mom - you had yours - so just sit there, be supportive and shut the hell up! I wasn't crazy about the first dress - BUT - the bride loved it and she is so beautiful that she would look fantastic in a potato sack - with the potatoes still in it! Her mother ruined that very special moment for her own daughter and that poor girl left WITHOUT the dress of her dreams! I really hate that first mother.
That mother is awful. I don't even know how she could possibly be criticizing her daughter's figure, that girl has an amazing figure. She also looked great in the dress she wanted. I feel so, so bad for her, she seems like such a sweet girl and she's just being relentlessly bullied by her control freak mother who's still treating her like a doll she can dress up and who she can abuse if she doesn't comply.

@@ceramicvases I didn't read what you wrote before I sent my response to the video. I'm glad it turned out happier and you got a dress that makes you happy (and didn't go over budget - very disrespectful of BBL to show you something out of budget in the first place). I also hadn't thought before about how the show might manipulate for drama. Even with all of these mitigations though, I'm still concerned about your mom's words and actions. Maybe, like one of the writers said, your mom had a mom just like her. Regardless, know that all is well with you, as you were, are, and will be.
@@ceramicvases Hun everyone was commenting on your MOTHER! IDK about the show or the consultants but your Mother is something else - She did not care that you lit up in that dress and looked beautiful - she picked and nit picked invisible flaws. SMH. I hope when you went back you left Mom at home!
Wtf is with this mother and her daughter's hips? They're supposed to be existent and visible, lady! No wonder young women get body dysmorphia and eating disorders if you're criticised and compared to unrealistic beauty standards daily by the one person who should protect you, ugh. She looked so happy and beautiful in the dress she wanted, I will never understand how this mother would sacrifice her child's happiness like this.
** I'm still looking for the "not flat" tummy the mom talked about with the first dress. The mom points to her daughter's nicely toned stomach and says "This is not flat". Kari has a great figure! Her mom simply does not like the style of clothing that Kari likes. Period. ** Kari's mom wants her to look sexy and have her boobs prominently on display so that everyone at the wedding will be fixated on the daughter's sexiness. That's a bit skeevy to me, but different strokes for different folks, I guess. It did make me wonder how much the mother is living vicariously through the daughter. ** BTW, when the mother said "this is for the rest of her life", I rolled my eyes. No, it's for one day. Get a grip, Pageant Mom!
Her and her daughter will never be close, let alone friends. Hopefully this girls future husband will keep his mother in law in check in regards to his wife. Like my husband did with my mom! I know because my mom came to me and said Jimmy told her not to talk to me like that anymore. What a husband I have. 😊
@@nancyjohnson5810 OH! How lucky you are! I never had that. My ex had 3 children and his mum and I was never accepted. He knew I had no mum of my own so it really mattered but he never stood up for me in front of them. Btw I think this mum is SO Selfish imposing the glam look She likes over what her daughter likes. Her daughter is STUNNING as well as very lovely
When she was saying “please say you like it” it made me want to cry, you could tell how desperate she was for approval. The mom was brutal with the stomach comment…it had to be destroying. The sister was amazing though, she knew the right things to say and supported her sister, she was doing the right thing, though she could have stuck up for her sister more, which she did at the end.
The first mother simply doesn't care about her daughter's opinion, she has a vision of what she wants and her daughter needs to comply. That's the "mother knows best" lifestyle.
I get having an opinion, but that only needs to be heard once if asked for; she really didn't care to pretend like it was OK to make her daughter happy. Coming with that book to dictate was enough
When the first mother started trying to talk her daughter into preferring "Mama's perfect pick," I found myself muttering, "Stop. Just stop right now," it triggered me so badly. That was my mother -- always explaining to me why my taste was lousy and hers was the epitome of chic. She was really the epitome of aspirational upper-middle-class. I am more bohemian-artsy, but really shoot for a timeless funky elegance. Why is that "bad?"
She’s literally DROP DEAD GORGEOUS her smile is stunning she seems so freaking sweet and for her mom to STILL be crapping on her body (the body of a collegiate cheerleader who is FIT AF) is just insane to me like I guess our eyes don’t work the same Bc I don’t see anything wrong???
Mother is suffering from "Snow White's wicked stepmother syndrome" she is obviously jealous that her daughter outshines her in both face and form, as well as personality, so she has to denigrate her, in order to feel superior. Toxic woman.

As someone who has lost a daughter, I sometimes mourn for all the life events we will never share. I know how deeply precious these moments are and I would never ever damper such a beautiful time with nastiness. I wouldn't even look at the dress because I would be looking at my Lula's beautiful face while enjoying sharing such a special moment. Those moments you can't get back. Trust me- I know. ♥
Jae I'm sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing your comment. I will definitely remember it when I cherish the special moments my two sons are thoughtful enough to include me in.
Also, the way the bride kept smiling even though she was heartbroken. That is a sign that's she's been told all her life that she needs to present herself a certain way no matter how she feels or there will be consequences.

That mother was horrible, I'm a mother and I would stand beside my daughter no matter what she wore even if it was a paperbag. My heart went out to the bride.
@@Be1smaht The mother was there for support but instead she body shamed her daughter and made her feel bad. The dress didn’t look good to the MOTHER and the mother is not the bride. If the bride likes it that’s all that matters since it’s HER wedding.
The fact that she, even tho her mother was being soooo incredibly awful to her, literally kept a smile on her face. She put on that dress, which looked amazing on her, and literally was constantly smiling, it didn’t matter what her mother said, she was incredible 💕 and literally has (by Society’s standards anyway) the perfect shape to her body

Doubtful by the way the sis was crying. Maybe she just conforms more to stay out of the doghouse. I wouldn’t be surprised if she beats them by the way the kid felt obligated to smile while crying. Quite an unnatural talent.

I mean it’s his honest opinion and jobs like his require unimaginable patience with the public, so he may have been thinking it but he was not going to act on it.
The part where she said «this isnt flat» broke my heart. Thats litteraly her uterus. This girl is athletic and healthy! Insane! How can a mother so easily body shame her own daughter? Disgusting
The mother could not possibly love her daughter and treat her like that. Mom us wanting to dress a Barbie Doll not her daughter. Not only that but the mother needs to look at her own far from perfect body and face. Such a toxic cold woman
@@audreymaqks she probably picks on her daugthers body because she is insecure about herself and maybe even about how her body looked when she was the same age. That’s technically not her uterus- she pointed to her upper stomach and the uterus is tiny. Its also far back in the pelvis behind serval layers and other organs. It’s just her stomach which is where people carry extra fat. not her uterus
The bride works as a professional cheerleader and the mother is concerned about a dress flattering her figure or making it look like she has a stomach. Bet this poor girl was criticized to death growing up.
The cheerleader daughter is beautiful both inside and out The mother can buy the dress she likes for herself! The wedding is totally about the bride and groom. Full stop.
My sincerest condolences on the losses of your daughters. That’s gotta feel HORRIBLE, on SO MANY LEVELS. Hang in there, Mom - you’ll see your daughters again when you go home to the Lord.🙏😇😇😇
Now I just want to know what the first bride ended up wearing to HER wedding! Did the mom go pick it out without her? My guess is the mom bullied her into wearing something she hated. Imagine telling your gorgeous daughter that her body was flawed! Shameful!
This bride is very beautiful and has amazing shape. The mum literally said she’s all about the dress when it should be all about the bride, her daughter. The bride’s awkward smile looking over her shoulder at her mum broke my heart. I hope she wore a dress that made her happy on her special day. Because she is beautiful regardless of her mother’s opinion about what the mum wants her daughter to wear on her wedding day.

Why bring them though?...... why why ehy you want an opinion and support, but also because 100 people will be analyzing and looking at you and there will be pictures

I was shocked when the Mom basically pointed out her stomach wasn’t flat in the first dress. Honestly I didn’t even notice it, but I would’ve probably broke if my Mom said that to me.
When mom said, “I can’t show feelings I don’t feel” it was the worst thing she could have said. Look how happy your daughter is! You can’t forget your opinion and be happy for your daughter? How selfish!
@@isabellefischer5145 I doubt it. This woman is so jealous of her daughter. I don’t think she has the capacity to feel happy for her child. Just a total toxic waste.
She didn’t even have to show those feelings. All she had to say was, “It’s not what I was picturing for you, but it is pretty, and you clearly love it. So if you want it to be, it’s your dress.” Or, if she wanted to be more candid about it, “I don’t love it, but I love that you love it.”
You can see how hard the first bride was trying to hold back the tears through smiling ear to ear, it just breaks my heart really. It's really pathetic that a grown woman has to forsake her choice at the behest of her governing mother. Both the brides were astonishingly beautiful. 😍❤️😊😘

That first mom was TOTALLY out of line. You don't talk to your daughter like that, especially when she's trying on her dream dress. If my mother ever talks to me like that when it's my time, I will be politely telling her to leave.
That is why grown folks should pay for their own items for their wedding. No one can have an opinion when you cut the check for your own wedding in all areas.
I never even considered asking my parents to pay nor did my mom accompany me to shop for gowns (just my husband-to-be, who was the only one whose opinion mattered).
@@BasicYTHandle I always wanted to pay for my only daughter’s dress out of love, and I did, and sent her $1000.00. Then, she never waited for me to go with her to try on dresses, and eventually left me out of her wedding. 😰
I hope the moms read these comments. I know there are edits and drama that’s created for tv, but it’s just not her dress, and this bride is physically perfect. Mom is a control freak weirdo.
Entourage, specially mums, have to realise that it's not THEIR day and that they can't project own ideas into someone else's dress and choices :( many of they are amazing, supportive and have constructive comments, but not in this case. I just wished that mum will budge and say "it's not what I envisioned, but it's your choice and as long as you are happy, I'm happy" 😭 so sad...
In fairness though, the bride said she brought them for their honesty, and as far as we can tell the mom isn't paying for the dress, so she seems to be wanting the mom to fake her feelings
@@poponachtschnecke I understand. But I see difference between "honesty" and "my opinion is the right one". Yes, mom said what she felt, but might end there. In my opinion she pushed the bride too much into her vision of "dream dress" and didn't let her follow her choice of style. Mom hate the dress because they were "plain", but bride loved them from the same reason. Only my daughter and I went to shop for her dress. I was prepared to buy what she loved. I walked in to the store and saw a dress on the mannequin I thought would be perfect but she was focused on trying on the meringue dresses. @@ceramicvases thanks for posting that, yeah - comments staff made are definitely disrespectful I still I think they can't misinterpret the mother - she was the one saying hurtful stuff, we saw her.
The first bride looked absolutely and perfectly beautiful in the dress that she loved. The mother was selfish and self-centered - it wasn't her dress and it is not for her day. How heartbreaking for the bride. How I hope that the young woman was able to return to the salon and retrieve the dress that she loved for her wedding day.
That first mother is EXACTLY why I went shopping and decided on the dress I wanted before I went shopping with my mother. The consultant at the bridal shop liked it on me, so did my fiancé and a few members of the bridal party. My mother is a super nasty control freak but I stood up to her. Finally told her it was THAT dress or we'd get married at City Hall and have a potluck reception. That settled her down. Sometimes you gotta stand up for what you want.
Those are the type of mothers that causes their child(ren) to have eating disorders. The sad part is if they eventually succumb to their disorder the mother never can see the part she played to the demise of her child.
So, I did agree with mom on how good the second dress looked on her, however, if my daughter said she found her dress, she found her dress! I smile and cry and do the thing! And I’d drop dead before telling her, her stomach wasn’t flat!
That bride is stunningly beautiful so almost everything will look good at her. I think she looked gorgeous in both dresses, the bride's pick was more elegant, classy, simple, the mom's pick was more sexy wawawoom (show them till go them) type of dress. I am actually kinda surprised b/c usually it's the other way around. Moms want something "modest", brides go for more sexy.
I don't care for the belt detail on any dress. Somehow, it always seems to hide a small waist rather than accent it. So I agree with the mom on that point. But the _rest_ of the first dress was way prettier than the second one! The design was more elegant. I didn't care for the sequin patches just slapped on the 2nd dress. The bride had an amazing figure and could wear whatever rag and look fantastic!
I’m watching this 2 years later and hope the beautiful first girl went back and got the dress she liked. She looked radiant and stunning in it. Her sweet disposition and composure with her overbearing and insensitive mom was admirable. Best wishes to her.

the bride has a beautful figure?? the dress looked gorgeous on her, the mother rlly brought a whole book, and body-shamed her, I feel horrible and sick just watching this, I hope that daughter gets that dress and gets her mother out of her life tbh
She's such a gorgeous & sweet, down to earth girl..... especially for a professional cheerleader. That first dress dress was gorgeous, it just needed alterations. I don't know what the mothers goal is. I don't know if it's about the dress, or about not wanting her youngest to get married.
The mother is so rude while voicing her opinion, while the daughter is so smiling and polite while trying to stand up for hers. And the daughter is sooo beautiful and her figure is absolutely perfect.
It’s not a tattoo!! She can sell the damn dress if she doesn’t want it anymore??? I couldn’t understand what the mother was saying, she could EASILY get rid of the dress if she so chooses
Exactly! And it’s a dress FFS. One she’ll wear for less than one day. How is that something she has to live with for the rest of her life 🙄 She’s absolutely gorgeous & looked stunning in the dress she liked. She wouldn’t have regretted a thing except her mother’s overly critical attitude
That mother was so incredibly rude and inconsiderate! The sister was so much more concerned and was crying for the sister. The bride was beautiful! I pray she found HER perfect gown and didn't give in to her mother!
She ended up wearing lace fit and flare dress with big skirt right under hips, looked gorgeous (but she would look gorgeous in a potato sack if you ask me). They have 2 boys and are living happy life. I hope they live far from her mother though...
Yup, that mother is never going to change her negativity and controlling ways. Best to move far away. I know a woman who’s mother is just like this one, and she wasn’t even allowed to visit after birth of her grand children. She was practically cut out of her daughter’s adult life.
To the first bride: I hope you know that you are wonderful just the way you are, and that the ONLY JOB of the people who chose to bring you into this world is to care for you and make you feel loved. If they can't do that, you need to protect this one soul and this one life you have and make decisions that make YOU proud. Good lord, I am so angry at that mother.

I am preparing for two weddings and both brides have interesting tastes that don't match what I love. And I don't care. All that matters is that: 1) They pick what THEY like because it's THEIR Day; 2) I'm not expected to pay for it (though as a surprise, I do plan to contribute!); and, 3) I will be honored to be included with dress shopping and, while I won't LIE, I also won't express any displeasure. My goal is to be a fountain of positivity and enjoyment. We aren't just buying dresses; we are creating memories that may last a life time. 🥂👰🏽🤵🏽🙏🏽
What a cruel mom and sweet girl - she tried so hard to be a good sport and smile through the hurt. I just wanted to hug her. The bride is so lovely! The bride is a literal cheerleader and the mom is picking on her freaking perfect figure?! I get strong Narcissistic Mom vibes - with the golden child (sister) and Kari is the scapegoat… I have to add the sister herself was sweet - trying to support her sister’s choice and asserted the positives she liked in the dress.
Ever so softly the sweet Bride said, I love it .. I want it ... Her sister picked up on how special the gown was to the Bride. As a Mom .. I would NEVER want to hurt my beautiful daughter like that ... I wish all the best to the sweet Bride & her Groom in their future journey together ..
I appreciate the opinion and wanting your child to look gorgeous and not wanting them to settle for anything less but also at the same time though that is what she loves and the wedding is about her and her fiance and about them to come together and celebrating their love and if she wants to be in that dress then that's her decision because at the end of the day it's not her mom that's getting married it's her.

The bride kept touching her belly after her mother told her “that area isn’t flat.” That mother is a horrible woman.
My mom is like that too she make me feel bad about my body
Horrible and I think maybe a jealous mom, I was 120 and a girlfriend of mine said yes I can see you have a bit of a problem there, (my stomach)and I thought how rude but I'd also never forgotten that. Now 40 years later my friend is over 200 lbs herself! I won't go there.
The mother is vile...
When the mom said “this isn’t flat” and pointed at her stomach I felt so sad for the bride. She has such a nice body and that first dress looked amazing on her
She kept touching her stomach afterwards too. You could tell it made her feel insecure.
When her mom touched her stomach and said this isn’t flat. Made me cry. No person let alone a mom should say that to their daughter. This is why women are so self conscious. 🥺🥺 I thought she looked gorgeous.
Right like it’s her day she loved that dress it was so beautiful on her
Careful, Mom!
She should leave the mother at home, its the brides big day
When the daughter was smiling through tears while talking about leaving w/o the dress I could tell that she's been conditioned to deal with this horrid mother. Terrible! Shame on her mom!
Yup, I have been told many times to have a stiff upper lip, or hide your crazy, smile through it. it's not healthy to do that.

@@jessicamarie8299 well you don't have to like or love it, only the bride has to! It's her and her fiance's wedding day, not yours or her mom's!
My mother is far worse but I can still relate to these girls. My sister and I know a mother’s torment. When I saw the sister crying, I really feel I knew their collective pain.
I’m really tired of seeing mothers destroy their own daughter’s self esteem. Poor girl kept “flattening” her stomach after her mom mentioned it once.
These mother destroy more than their daughter's self-esteem. Every rude and backhanded comment destroys their daughter's heart. And that will drive a deep wedge between them.

Oh god I feel so sad for her. I really think that she is one of the most beautiful brides i've seen in this show, and the dress was perfect on her. Having a toxic mother is just the worst.
I pray that husband has set some boundaries with the mother , and instilled in his bride that she is utterly gorgeous !
The first mom isn’t there for her daughter, she’s there for herself, plain and simple.
She’s living vicariously through the poor bride with no consideration for her daughter.
but loved the other daughters dress and cried

Yeah, coming in with a book says it all.
Mom needs to remember its not about her . I feel bad for her daughters .
Totally glad she's not my Mom. She's just mean spirited. The daughter should just elope and Mom can then take take that book of hers and use it as TP.
That mother is awful. I don't even know how she could possibly be criticizing her daughter's figure, that girl has an amazing figure. She also looked great in the dress she wanted.
The first mother simply doesn't care about her daughter's opinion, she has a vision of what she wants and her daughter needs to comply. That's the "mother knows best" lifestyle.

Mom wants a pagent dress and won't quit bashing every dress until she gets it.

First of all taping the show in Atlanta was an amazing experience! I had a great time trying on all of the beautiful gowns that BBL had to offer!
... Secondly... my episode... completely misrepresented my whole experience! The BBL staff said hurtful things behind our back and if we would have known this we would have left immediately! This TLC show that I used to enjoy has really put a dark cloud over my wedding day experience. They cut out of the show that the dress I liked was out of budget and that I did return to BBL and purchase a completely different gown within budget and even more beautiful than the one featured on the show."
no
It broke my heart when the bride said "it didn't happen with me" with that fake smile on her face, you could see how hurt she was.
Only my daughter and I went to shop for her dress. I was prepared to buy what she loved. I walked in to the store and saw a dress on the mannequin I thought would be perfect but she was focused on trying on the meringue dresses. She tried on several dresses and then opted to try on the mannequin dress. She screamed, “oh Mom!” and said it was the dress. She was stunning. But it was HER choice!
Kudos to you mama. You should give lessons to moms on this show. Silver lining, maybe it's all scripted? Maybe...kinda sorta?
Thank you!
She's an NFL cheerleader! She wouldn't have made it through the first round of auditions if her figure wasn't absolutely perfect. That mother is a piece of work.
She’s so beautiful and looked stunning in every dress. What a lovely person she seem to be too ❤
Her mum reminds me of those beauty pageant mums that pressure their kids to look “perfect” even though she’s already beautiful & perfect in her own way. Bless the bride
This mother acted disgusted...IT ISN T A PAGEANT ITS A WEDDING ..AND it wasn't HER WEDDING BUT HER DAUGHTERS ..when that young lady gets married..she'll alienate herself from her! Good too,..
It was hard to watch. That mother's behavior is HIDEOUS. I feel so bad for the bride. Hopefully she can just run off by herself and order that dress. Bless that girl and the mess of a mother she has. Horrible.

thanks for posting that, yeah - comments staff made are definitely disrespectful
I still I think they can't misinterpret the mother - she was the one saying hurtful stuff, we saw her.
did she just point at her daughter's flat stomach, and told her it was sticking out 😱😱😱😱, that's just hurtful
Yup mums are so judgemental my parents are always telling me to lose weight
The first bride looked absolutely and perfectly beautiful in the dress that she loved. The mother was selfish and self-centered - it wasn't her dress and it is not for her day. How heartbreaking for the bride. How I hope that the young woman was able to return to the salon and retrieve the dress that she loved for her wedding day.
I just kept looking at the dress behind both brides during their solitary moments on camera. Beautiful!
I agree with Lori!
I’m flabbergasted as well! The bride is perfect!
I’m watching this 2 years later and hope the beautiful first girl went back and got the dress she liked. She looked radiant and stunning in it. Her sweet disposition and composure with her overbearing and insensitive mom was admirable. Best wishes to her.
Another "this ain't your wedding " episode. Mom should have stayed home .
Since it's quarantine. 😹
@@bloodytea9920😅😅😅
It's not up to you mom, it's your daughters day not YOURS. Get the feeling that mom is jealous of her daughter.

When Lori faced the first mother and told her it's her daughters day the mother looked at her with a fake smile like "what you're gonna say now LoRi". Damn.
The mother needs to realise that it’s not her wedding . It’s her daughters.
Girl, elope! My mom had her dotted ,tea length dress,&justice of the peace wedding. Just her and dad. Married over 50 years
the bride has a beautful figure?? the dress looked gorgeous on her, the mother rlly brought a whole book, and body-shamed her, I feel horrible and sick just watching this, I hope that daughter gets that dress and gets her mother out of her life tbh
ua-cam.com/video/1hERemzqeYU/v-deo.html
She's such a gorgeous & sweet, down to earth girl..... especially for a professional cheerleader. That first dress dress was gorgeous, it just needed alterations. I don't know what the mothers goal is. I don't know if it's about the dress, or about not wanting her youngest to get married.
Mom's goal I'm bitter and jealous and misery loves company
It was about control.
The first girl was so incredibly sweet and pretty-it was hard watching her confidence get shattered:(
The mother is so rude while voicing her opinion, while the daughter is so smiling and polite while trying to stand up for hers. And the daughter is sooo beautiful and her figure is absolutely perfect.
My daughter's dress was pretty but not what I like but, it was HER day and HER choice not mine. She still looked beautiful and that made me happy.
Mom said daughter is making a decision she’ll have to live with the rest of her life. Yes, the daughter made a decision yet Mom did not honor it.
She thinks she will regret it
That mother was so incredibly rude and inconsiderate! The sister was so much more concerned and was crying for the sister. The bride was beautiful! I pray she found HER perfect gown and didn't give in to her mother!
She looked amazing in that dress she wanted! Timeless, classic, flattering, feminine
what a sweet girl. Incredible given how horrible her mother is. The best thing she can do for herself is get far far far away from that toxic woman!!
Someone needs to tell the mom it isn’t her wedding.
This girl is stunning and her figure is perfect. Her Mom is a judgmental nightmare.
She ended up wearing lace fit and flare dress with big skirt right under hips, looked gorgeous (but she would look gorgeous in a potato sack if you ask me). They have 2 boys and are living happy life. I hope they live far from her mother though...
Thanks for looking that up! 😊
Ty for the information
Thanks for that information. I’ve thought about this bride since the show first aired.
Far, far away, would be best.
What a mean mom!
Yup, that mother is never going to change her negativity and controlling ways. Best to move far away. I know a woman who’s mother is just like this one, and she wasn’t even allowed to visit after birth of her grand children. She was practically cut out of her daughter’s adult life.
To the first bride:
I hope you know that you are wonderful just the way you are, and that the ONLY JOB of the people who chose to bring you into this world is to care for you and make you feel loved. If they can't do that, you need to protect this one soul and this one life you have and make decisions that make YOU proud.
Good lord, I am so angry at that mother.

@@ceramicvases perhaps they said hurtful things because of your mums appalling behaviour, im stunned it's that they put a "dark cloud" over your wedding... wow.
This Bride is GORGEOUSSSSSSSS !!! & has just the Sweetest demeanor about herself💖Shame on Mom...
That Mother was a nightmare. I hope the bride got the dress she wanted in the end and moved far far away from that abusive control freak. Uuuggghhh.
This is coming from experience. The first lady needs to get a backbone and stand up to her mother. She is an adult and needs to act like it. Otherwise it is going to cause problems in her marriage. Her mother will run the show and her husband will, rightfully so, resent it.

She looked absolutely gorgeous in every single dress....it's heart breaking.
The girl is sooo down to earth and gorgeous
Breaks my heart how her mom treated her 🥺
Imagine being raised by a mother like this😢; it’s all about her, not about the girl, who is way too dependent on this selfish woman. So sad.
I would
Love for her to say is it not my choice which dress I get? Like I get she wants to please her mum but don’t let her take over the appointment it’s about what your heart desires!❤️
I am preparing for two weddings and both brides have interesting tastes that don't match what I love. And I don't care. All that matters is that:
1) They pick what THEY like because it's THEIR Day;
2) I'm not expected to pay for it (though as a surprise, I do plan to contribute!); and,
3) I will be honored to be included with dress shopping and, while I won't LIE, I also won't express any displeasure. My goal is to be a fountain of positivity and enjoyment. We aren't just buying dresses; we are creating memories that may last a life time. 🥂👰🏽🤵🏽🙏🏽
"This is not flat." Do you want her to just not eat then? God damn woman. My mum would NEVER.
She wants her to have big hips and a concave stomach. Realistic as hell, lady!
@Leonie Pretty sure it's not, unless she's pregnant, but it's still normal!
@Leonie It's not. The uterus is behind the pelvic bone. Look it up.
@Leonie If you're not pregnant, your uterus doesn't stick out.
@@kimm6589 yes it does
Ugh. This mother is the worst person. Intolerable. How on earth can anyone find fault with this girls figure!?????!!!!
FR!! That’s a Disney princess figure! And nothing wrong with her stomach either. Honestly I didn’t notice it until her mother pointed it out
What a cruel mom and sweet girl - she tried so hard to be a good sport and smile through the hurt. I just wanted to hug her. The bride is so lovely!
The bride is a literal cheerleader and the mom is picking on her freaking perfect figure?!
I get strong Narcissistic Mom vibes - with the golden child (sister) and Kari is the scapegoat…
I have to add the sister herself was sweet - trying to support her sister’s choice and asserted the positives she liked in the dress.
Why not put the mother in a dress of her choice and lock her up somewhere? It's about the bride, not her.
Can't believe how her mom
wrecked her daughter's day she looked absolutely beautiful in the dress
Ever so softly the sweet Bride said, I love it .. I want it ... Her sister picked up on how special the gown was to the Bride. As a Mom .. I would NEVER want to hurt my beautiful daughter like that ... I wish all the best to the sweet Bride & her Groom in their future journey together ..
That's why I am choosing my dress alone! Specially because I am having a BLACK Wedding Dress lol No one will change my mind!
I will probably take some of my family members but they better like my black or royal blue dress
You go, girl! Not everyone is suited to wear white. It's only because Queen Victoria made it popular that brides wear white.
Awe. Have the best day ever. ♥️♥️♥️
Good. U should wear what YOU want on YOUR wedding day.
Way to go!!! 🦋🦋💃
She's such a sweetheart, she'll never dump that mom.
