@@ivanpurcellv If any NH team is going to dominate the ABs we in the NH must ge giving each other tough games. We all learn by these hard games for both sides. as a neutral this irish performance was like watching a junior version of the great munster sides led by o'connell .... gutsy and relentless forward play that simply overpowered the opposition and really clever half back and 3/4 play ..... poor discipline and frustration from england which was a direct result of the irish pressure ..... i would think ireland are better prepped for a big encounter with australia who appear to have enjoyed an easier game vs italy .... good luck to all the teams as it is a great honour to wear your country's shirt.
@@hugostiglitz6914 I do, and so do the other 96 people that liked the comment. And here in SA, the highlights were posted the morning after the game. So that's a weak argument
England’s control at the breakdown was really poor at times; box kicks getting charged down, taking the ball back over the try line for no offside line 🤦♂️ and no real confidence at box kicking out of trouble. Don’t think the ref really protected the 9 in fairness but the England back row were passive in that instance at should have returned the favour. Frustrating for England as at times we looked in control and our backs had plenty more attacking threat with the ball, but maybe this is just a very good Ireland side in the making.
What’s that got to do with under 20 rugby ..?? If you want to talk senior rugby then Ireland have also beaten England 2 of the last 3 times they have played ..so like I said ..Have it
@@alexbamford3933 if you don't mean any disrespect than why did you have to bring up the seniors in a comment and a video about u20s it's because your jealous that Ireland have won both contests in this and the six nations
When it's 26-28 and you get a red card for doing something as deliberate and dangerous as what Barbeary did. What a disgrace and cost England any chance of a win
We need to stop this business of "control of the ball". It is no longer an issue and hasn't been for several years. All that is required is a hand on the ball on the ground. We then need to look at the question that the referee asked and judging by how the TMO replied, it is clear that the on field decision was a try and the referee was looking for CLEAR evidence to overturn that decision; there was none so the try was awarded. We have seen worse decisions than this go in favour of the try scorer for exactly the same reason as I listed above. We don't like them but such are the laws of rugby and it is still an improvement from the days of the referee being the sole decision maker.
So get rid of Russell Earnshaw and Fletch and Peter for England Pathway., get your mates in Dean Ryan (Mallinder) and where we have made the final 7 years out of 9 you now start losing. Anyone gonna put their hands up AND ADMIT THEY SCREWED UP?/ Nope!!
What's the Irish lad trying to do at 3.04, so far away from the ruck. It had little impact but surely that's a penalty? Some great rugby from both teams though.
Perhaps its the video angle but the Irish guy who got tossed looked like he was trying to knee the English guy in the spine and just mucked up what would have been a criminal assault.
Neutral (Welsh), but that scoreline doesn't reflect the game, Ireland were still going to win imo, but the score is like that because (imo) that ref was extremely lenient to the Irish side. Would of been a much closer score with a different ref
I'm sorry but if you can't see Ireland 26's feet on the line when he scores the last try then you're definitely blind. Blatantly out of touch. "World of Blind people" uploaded a video
Yes it was close but did look like he lost control before grounding. The last try was questionable too. Was his foot in touch ? I'm not sure. But the better team won on the day.
Downward pressure is a term still used by commentators, but one that left the law book a long time ago. All it takes is a hand or upper body on the ball on the ground. Since the on field decision was a try, the TMO was looking for a CLEAR and OBVIOUS reason not to award it and could not do so, as you heard him say in the video, therefore the on field decision stood. BTW, even in the senior levels, that try would have been awarded because of the question the referee asked.
It would of been ridiculous if it wasn't a red. Are you gonna blame tmo aswell he checked almost every try. England were tacticly beat. Ireland kept it tight and bullied them
Disgraceful display from the referee. An Irish-Australian ref (Damon Murphy) is hardly fair is it. Completely biased throughout the entire game against England. Shameful.
to be fair you cant jump over the ruck with or without the ball in your hands, but he clearly picks and goes right and gets tackled over the ruck so its not a penalty.
