Thank you Sam. This review made my mind up for me. I bought my kids original Kankens for school so am very familiar with the Fjallraven brand. Ordered my No.2 Laptop 15” today. Same colour as you! Cheers!
Hei Sam! The soft pad on the inside is really a pad for sitting on it. In the northern countries it is mostly cold, wet or snow. Kids us it to sit on it. The shoulder straps have click on buttons where you can attach shoulder pads or the protection fabric for rain. My child loves her backpack. Sunny regards from 🇫🇮
Hi Sam, lovely to see this video - as someone who is looking for a new backpack it has been perfect. I don’t mind if materials fade in time but what I do like is that you have the room for lots of stuff. I wouldn’t put my purse in the outside pocket but use an inside one or the laptop one but otherwise I am going to check these out. Thanks so much for sharing and see you soon⭐️
Yep - I am going to buy one now that I have watched your review and checked out the site. You forgot to mention how much knitting it would hold though 🙈. Thanks so much for this Sam. ⭐️
Hi Sam, your video is very lovely and informative! In fact, I owned this in black, I let it go in the process of becoming a minimalist, but now I ended up repurchasing the same updated model. The new inner pocket is very convenient for storing things to carry just in case. I keep the AirTag and the minimum emergency kit there.
@@irishfarmart The inner pocket holds more than I expected, and it’s probably a little smaller than the front pocket. However, if you put it in too much, when you open the main compartment, it will hang down due to the weight of the pocket, so it will be a bit harder to use. So, there are pros and cons in the inner pocket. If you can only put very light things, I recommend you to try it, at least check how it is in the store.
Sr are you still using this until now? How is this specific color holding? Did it fade or still the same? Im choosing between dark olive, dusk, navy and black. Was leaning with black and darker colors but is also hesitant because some reviewers say that black no. 2 fades quickly from the sun. I wonder if it applies to colors like dark olive etc. Ty
Still holding strong, the colour has faded so very slightly, nothing I can notice too much! A bit of wax always brings it back to life. I want to get a new one though, I think they updated the model a Bit
@@irishfarmart thank you for the quick reply sr. Now i'm getting the dark olive. Will give this to my daughter for school. Thanks again and God bless you!
Nice video! I never thought to use a backpack for groceries. It makes so much sense, especially if you're walking a lot. Also thumbs up for the Mary Poppins reference 😆
@@irishfarmart by the way, I chose the Nomatic Travel Pack for my backpack. I like it because it's small enough to use every day and it expands from 20 liters to 30 liters. Its pretty stylish too
Have you waxed it yet? I’ve ordered the 17” laptop bag (since we’re going back into the office) and wonder how much work it is to keep it water resistant..
@@irishfarmart Hahaha, love your humor! A suitcase might be a better choice! 😆😆😊! So there must be more to life than knitting! Waiting for the Italian cooking videos!

Thanks so so much for the info!!!! Really interesting! I am so happy of being the proud owner of such a little piece of history
What do you do with it after sitting on it in the wet or snow? Just shake it off and put it back in the bag?
Exactly I don't feel comfortable putting wet board inside a clean & dry backpack.. @@dm2836
The “worn” look is part of the charm in my opinion. Thanks for the review! I got mine at a really good sale, and now I can’t wait to use it.
I totally agree!

I wondered if I should update for the new one. If I am missing something is definitely the lack of pockets

Hey Sam, do you use the no. 2 more or the vinylon 17 inches one?
Definitely the 17 inch one! I was thinking to give away the 15’
I have this backpack in mesa purple but I think I prefer the original material
I haven’t yet tried the original material but I would love to! On my next purchase list
@@irishfarmart oh, but you have since you have had the 17“ for a couple years. That is the original material they‘re referring to, I think 😊
Hi, Sam. Thanks for the review😊
Thanks so so much
Hello Sam! Did you get 17”? Do you think it's too big for people with short torsos?
Yep the 17’! Oh absolutely not! I think it’s quite compact, probably a bit too short for tall people with a larger torso 😅
You said 15 inch macbook air but those don't exist (yet), they only go to 13.5" or so. Or is it a macbook pro 15"?
will double check that, thanks so much for your message
Great review! Thanks! 😊
My pleasure! Hope that was helpful
