    That's a real car. Not the crappy cars they make today.

    The Flat tops were so much better than the green house slope top. 60s are so classy, great job!!

    I actually met you and your father in Palm Springs at a McCormick's auction when you sold the 56 Coupe deVille....was great meeting you and your father and seeing the beautiful restoration you'd done on the Caddie...

    The 1960 Series 62 also came in a Coupe, 6-Window Sedan, and Convertible. Often the Cadillac convertible is called a DeVille Convertible but that name was not used until 1964. The Series 62 became the Calais in 1965 and declined in popularity as over time the DeVilles had rocker panel mouldings and often a vinyl top. The last year for the Calais was in 1976 but the 1977 DeVille in standard trim was almost as plain. Beautiful church sanctuary and manicured lawn makes a beautiful backdrop.

    This is a gorgeous Cadillac, the color is very attractive. Back in the 70s I had a 60 Cadillac that I paid $250 for. It was a factory purple color that was called Rose Mist so we called her Rose. We cruised all over Southern California & had a blast. Thanks for sharing your classic!! 👍👍🙂

    Love this so much - esp the steering wheel. Looks much better than the 59 which was garish. Love the color and it looks like new!

    Beautiful job giving a tour of this car! When I was a kid, our family car was this model in black with a black and white interior. The flat roof with the wrap around window in the back was commented on even when the car was new. Ours had factory cruise control which was a knob that was located in the upper left of the speedometer pod in that area where that emblem is. What a wonderful car! Thanks for a well edited video!

    0:46 Good video! By the way, those lamps are parking and turn signal lamps, not fog lights. Otherwise, good job.

      Good eye, or may I say ear. You are right! The car has park lights, not the optional fog lamps as I said in the video. Thank you for watching and being very attentive. Not too many people can tell the difference.

    Beautiful car! My cousins had one of these in sort of a cocoa brown, and they drove it from Florida to Seattle in ‘62 for a family visit and to see the Seattle World Fair.

    • @59cadfins
      @59cadfins  3 роки тому +3

      Thank you, the blue color was why we bought it. This car has made it back and forth from Palm Springs to La like a dream. Cadillac's like these are pretty reliable and would be just fine as a daily driver. The only issue is finding the space to park them!

    A little bit of trivia: Beginning in 1960, the 390 V8 oil filter moved from up top to down under on the engine block; also this was the last year for the Tri-Power carburetor option (345 h.p.)

    I sure like the way you could see 360 degrees, almost like a convertible! NOT like the miserable cars today with no visibility at all. I FEEL so claustrophobic in the new cars . The new Corvettes are miserable with the passenger being cut off almost completely from your passenger with that hideous center console. Those were the days when bench seats were the majority and your sweetie could nuzzle up next to you while riding down the freeway!
