"Maybe we should bribe him."
"That's how you get in, not out."
my favorite line of this!! I love this show
Gilligan's Island went on the air when I was 9 years old. It was amazing how many times these shows were reruned . I was kind of amazed that the film didn't disintegrate being played over and over about a million times over the years. Shows like the Munsters I liked alot more as a child. 😊
THE ADDAMS FAMILY, GET SMART AND THE SATERDAY MORNING CARTOONS! CAN I GET AN AMEN?
Most popular when gilligans island went into syndication after the show ended
Mr. Howell: I’m crashing out of here are you with me my dear
Mrs Howell: You can count on me. (To Ginger) Thurston and I are crashing out of here are you with us
Ginger: You can count on me
Ginger to Mary Ann
Mary Ann to Professor
Professor to Skipper
Skipper: (To Mr. Howell) We’re crashing out of here Mr. Howell are you with us?
Mr. Howell: Why didn’t I think of that
Perfect line
Used to watch this after school all the time.great memories.
We had to do home work first before watching tv set or go outside and play plus if we didn't do work around the house or outside then no tv no Supper go up stairs your grounded for a month
Miss my childhood.. great memories
I was going to say exactly that. This show was on in syndication after school on a UHF station for years. In that sense, this is a Gen X memory as much as the Boomers who saw it in its first run.
@@joeroberts2481 Totally agree- I was born in '91, favorite shows growing up were Gilligans Island, scooby doo, adams family, popeye, and of course the Brady Bunch. I feel like when you are young you have no concept of what are "old" tv shows, everything is new to you at that age!
I saw it on tv set with tube in tv set with antantias bunny ears with aluminum foil on those antanas my uncle marcel Franklin Page jr whos my dad also did it that way in 1970s 1980s days
@billgreen4003 lol. I remember the aluminum foil on the rabbit ears. Good ole days!
My favorite line (that still makes me laugh) was when the Professor said to the Howells that money doesn't buy happiness. To which Mrs. Howell said, "Anyone who says that money doesn't buy happiness doesn't know where to shop!!!"
I loved this show. Brings back great memories of my younger years. Show had a great vibe.
My mom saw this show when it first ran and then when i was 5 she introduced me to spongebob and Gilligan. Both of those shows are such classics it's actually crazy how much these shows had an effect on me growing up and how it formed my humor xp
I grew up in the 70s watching this and The Brady Bunch both created by the same guy: Sherwood Schwartz.
Mary Ann and the rest of the crew were just as funny on my Black&White TV as they are in colour. Happy memories forever. Dawn Wells rest in peace.
Oh I didn't know. How very sad. I was born in 85 and I loved this show when I was little. Mary Ann was the light of the show.
I miss this show. I watched it for the first 30 years of my life.
@@funkyyyt0wn_316 Yes that was True; but it's NOW IN Syndication for on TV station that Shows ALL THE 70' Sitcom shows.
Loved this show as a young kid. Mary Ann was THE girl next door.
@@skinnydipper9 They way she was always the sexiest castaway making cream pies all the time.
AND TWICE AS HOT AS GINGER, ME AND MY BUDS WOULD ARGUE ABOUT THAT ALL THE TIME, WHICH ONE WAS THE HOTTIE!
Anyone else only around 16 and grew up with this and love it dearly?
My buddies and I were in the 2nd grade and watched these episodes BRAND SPANKIN NEW, THE DAY THEY CAME OUT
I grew up watching this show. Granted I’m a kid of the late 80s but this still holds up. Loved this show
Six Degrees Of Separation: It's real.
From me to Gilligan:
1.) I've me and talked with Uli Jon Roth a few times after his concerts.
2.) Uli Jon Roth was in a relationship with Monika Danneman.
3.) Monika was in a relationship with Jimi Hendrix.
4.) The Monkees toured with Jimi Hendrix in 1967.
5.) Davey Jones met Sherwood Schwartz during the one episode he was on the Brady Bunch.
6.) Sherwood Schwartz knew Bob Denver.
omg...Mary Ann was my kind of beauty, I am still head over heels for her all these decades later . . .
3:43 "MAKE WAY FOR THE REDBALL EXPRESS!!". That quote has stuck with me my entire life (now mid 50s), and every time a friend or family member comes barging into a room, either in a hurry, with arms full of stuff, or both, I usually yell that line.....and, of course.....nobody has a freakin' clue what I'm talking about. Oh, well........
Gilligan was able to break thru the jail door when the whole gang couldn’t.
Jodie Zamora Gilligan is the only one on the show who can crash through doors or walls like that, for reasons of humour. He did a similar crash through a wall in "Mine Hero".
After school I couldn't wait to watch Gilligans island. My mom worked her butt off for us. After the show went off we went outside to play till dark...
They don’t make shows like this anymore too bad.
They were going to make new Gilligan island movie and alot of sid and Marty Kroft super show tv shows series episodes in movies the way fans wants even better land of the lost movie the way fans want

I don't know if it was childhood or not, because I was born 89 n this aired early 2000's in hindi on pogo , never used to miss a single single episode,
I was born in 90, i grew up on this show through columbia house Video tapes my dad ordered. Good times.
I love that the professor seems to have learned his acting skills by watching cartoon characters imitating Jimmy Cagney. I was waiting for him to say "You dirty rat ... "
Used to be my favorite show I used to look forward to coming home after school and watching it everyday life was a lot simpler back then no computers no smartphones no email the good old days
Man i got a good laugh out of this! Thanks for posting. I was just day dreaming how hot Ginger and Mary Ann were compared to Jeannie and Samantha and i looked this up! Unexpected laugh. Thanks Subbed!
Gilligan is such a cutie. How adorable. I want to protect him at all cost.
1 of my favorite shows when I was a kid
Russell Johnson was a great comedic actor.
Love Gilligan's Island! Better in living color.
Back in 1979 When my brother and his friend asked me “ Ginger or MaryAnn?”
I said “ Mrs. Howell ! “💰🤑💰
MaryAnne was one of my original crushes. Still holds up today.
This was the dumbest show, but you never turned it off, changed the station, and didn't do anything but love it even when you've seen some of the episodes over 30 times.
I loved this show so much!!

Woo ginger's looking good but I can't go wrong with Mary Ann.
I loved it whenever Russell Johnson the professor showed his silly comedic side on the show.
This whole show said one braincell rights
My girlfriend LOVES gilligans island. so much. she CRIES at night because of how much she loves gilligans island.
Love this show Gilligan always cracked me up he would of love the new law legalizing pot, I remember he got caught with it back in the day.
I miss my childhood too awesome episodes
can't keep my eyes off Mary Ann......
Professor: "Tell them Skipper."
Skipper: "I didn't have time to put the signal rocks out".
Mr. Howell: "Why not?"
Skipper:" Because some numbskull (Gilligan) put us in Jail"!
That is a funny scene. But I never saw those other scenes of the plans to try to get out of jail with Gilligan there. I loved seeing those extra scenes for the first time just now.
3:56 The Skipper demonstrates his impressive knot skills.
Skipper.... is brilliant
Every time they had a chance to get off the island, Gilligan seem to screw up some how
LoL.
If I were Gilligan, I would NEVER want to get off the island with 2 hot sluts and a milf running around.
@@sylviaisgod6947 I really wouldn't call Mary Ann a slut, Ginger I would, and Mrs Howell definitely fits the milf. LOL.
On Season 1's "The Big Gold Strike" episode the other castaways messed up that rescue - Gilligan was innocent that time. The other 6 castaways were each secretly (with the exception of the Howells who probably knew what each of them were doing) trying to smuggle a bag of gold among their personal effects onto the the life raft; their combined weight along with the gold caused the raft to sink faster than the Titanic just moments after they cast off from the island.
My God I so bang Ginger and Maryann " can you say 3 some " truth
That was the best chance for a rescue. Too bad they waited 15 years to make a reunion movie where they got rescued, trapped, and then a couple of years, turned the island into a vacation resort.
The cast was fully expecting a 4th season to follow and CBS had renewed the show too. But the President of CBS William Paley's wife demanded that he keep Gunsmoke on (which was about to be canceled) and in order to do so Gilligan's Island had to be canceled. I always wondered if Sherwood Schwartz could have tried to move the show over to NBC or ABC (and this was not unheard of as Get Smart moved from NBC to CBS at one point during this time)
Took me a long time to realize that Sing Sing was a prison.
How would Gilligan have felt if he saw Ginger & Mary Ann fighting each other in the jail instead of The Skipper & The Professor faking the fight so that Gilligan would have to unlock the door and let them out?
Gilligan was suppose to be a kid, so that's why alot ginger had no effect on him...
2:37 DAMN!!! Mary Ann looks exceptionally hot in that shot! Perfect lighting.
Sure bring back memories.
gilligan: make way for the red ball exspress
I believe that Gilligan had asbeggers because of him being accident prone he was smart nice and clumsy he usually ment well but because of his disability he often mess up the attempts of being rescued the others gave Gilligan more work than he could handle and he would mess up and the others would get mad at poor Gilligan Maxwell smart was the same way on get smart he ment well but because of his disability he was clumsy to so was captain pomiter and corporal agarn on f troop so was Tim Conway as lutanient parker on McHale's Navy these are my favorite TV shows of all time because of my disability I can relate to these TV shows Andrew Nelson
lol! Could you possibly mean Aspergers? and it's meant not ment and it's lieutenant not lutanient Is English not your primary language??
Asbeggers? What are you talking about? And you may not realize Gilligan wasn't a real person. So you may want to do some thinking yourself Mr Asbeggers.
What is asbeggars? Do you mean asparagus? How do you know he ate asparagus before this scene?
Howell’s jail break plan.
Gilligan can't be fooled by Ginger's movie knowledge and she didn't know about the other prison picture.
I don't like Gilligan as the bad guy. Also Skipper , Howell and the Skipper couldn't break the door, but skinny Gilligan could.
Gilligan has super strength to break through door and speed to dig hole, this makes more sense as a dream.
Mary Ann always looked so good in her blue Daisy Dukes
Mary Anne wowzers
Life was so much better back then. Men knew they were men, women knew they were women.
Love this show
😂😂😂😂😂 Especially that last scene!!
Dear god TV was horrific shit for so many decades.
I mean, most of it is STILL horrific shit, but at least now in the golden age of TV there's a lot of great stuff alongside the shit.
Hollyweird could never make anything this simple and funny ever again, damn shame too.
Giligans island is life like if u agree
Mary Anne was a living doll. They don't make em like that no more.
I'd like a double feature tonight, what was the pictures Gilligan mentioned?
Sing a song in sing sing? And something blues?
THE MOE & COOPER SHOW™ San Quentin Blues. And I’m guessing those movies are both fictional.
@@knightofarkronia9968 then you would guess wrong... One is actually a prison though
THE MOE & COOPER SHOW™ But Ginger Grant is a fictional character.
I watch this at lunch at school lol
Gilligan's perpetual thwarting any rescue attempt
My god Mary Ann is gorgeous
Ay I found it I loved this show 2006 baby yurr
I'm Mrs Thurston Howell the third and we're doomed
I worked with Gilligan 35 years he's at the head of the company now filing for bankruptcy...
1:13, this is so hilarious! Hahahaha!
After the Skipper saw Gilligan digging his way out the jail, he should've realized that he and the others could've done that themselves so that they could've got the phosphorescent rocks ready when they heard a plane was coming. After all, Gilligan didn't have a gun on him while being the deputy and being overzealous.
Love this video this tv classic
Funny 😀😀 I remember seeing when I Younger . In the 70s and 80s
I don't remember this episode. Why does Gilligan put them in there to begin with......
His hat gets knocked off @ 3:48 then re appears. Haha.
Gilligan was just playing dumb the entire time.
just knew gilligan would come and bugger things up
Mr. Howell was lucky that his wife didn't get jealous when he was in the jail with Ginger and Mary Ann before Gilligan put the rest of his friends in there.
Why didn't they all live in that cave? Better shelter than bamboo.
It sure was a shock when the show switched to color! The characters must have had lots of bruises after the show was over.
Even if Gilligan's friends did dig their way out of jail before the plane from the US Air Force came to their island, would Gilligan order them back to jail or let it go so that they can use their signal rocks to contact the plane and then they would be rescued?
My boss calls me Gilligan and I don’t know why so here I am trying to find out haha
Tell him he can’t call you Gilligan and your new name is Little Buddy. You’ll catch him off guard and he’ll think you’ve been watching even more of the show. And start calling him Professor if he thinks he knows everything. Or, call him Skipper if he’s fat. 😂.
The famous hat on then off and then back on again. Such an obvious editing blunder with Gilligan running from the jail.
Too bad that Gilligan's fellow castaways didn't think of digging their way out of jail. If they did, they would've gotten to use the rocks that glow and the plane would've spotted it and they would've been rescued.
azure rainbow funny, Gilligan knew to dig out of jail. Guess he was right and the Skipper didn't see the movie.
These r shows kids should be watching servival tactics in this crazy world besides humor I idolize Tina louise
Didn't they notice that it was still daylight when the plane passed so even if made that message the rocks wouldn't have glowed.
If Gilligan wasn't shipwrecked with the group they would have been rescued in the pilot episode.
I love Mr Magoo!!!!!!
I loved this show after school everyday but sometimes Gilligan legit pissed me off lol
So much for Jail Breaking.
Such simple times. A sound stage, some hokey island props, a worn out laugh track and you have a classic that spans generations.
Interesting analysis🎈
Love this show forever!
Perfect summation.
Except this was before point and shoot cameras. This show was actually extremely difficult to produce
@@TeamTwiistz True! The cameras alone were each almost the size of a car! The microphones were the size of oranges and needed to be dangled just out of frame above the actors heads. Analog recording of video and sound was hugely expensive. You are exactly right.
