    I love this informative video!!! Thanks so much for sharing.
    Questions: 1) please share the name of the book that you mentioned by Rosemary Gladstar. There are several online. 2) can herbs like mullein and horehound be added? I’m an allergy sufferer and the post nasal drip and mucus drives me crazy! 😩
    Thanks again,
    - Allie

      You’re welcome Allie! Happy to inspire and share! The name of the book is called “Fire Cider! 101 zesty recipes for health boosting remedies.” The colors on the cover are purple, red and orange.
      You can add whatever herb you feel called to incorporate! There are honestly so many ways to make fire cider- you are the artist! You decide the colors! Have fun creating!

    I made some a few months ago. After I strained it, I put it in a jar in my pantry. How long will it keep unrefrigerated?

      @@QUIETSTORM-xj4ux it can vary. When left in the fridge, Ive had batches last over 6n months! Some spoil earlier than that. It really depends on a few factors. Honestly, just keep trying it, smelling it, making sure it still smells okay to drink. Vinegar is a wonderful natural presever!

    Where did you get the Hawthorne berries? I just heard about them from you when I heard the word “heart’ because I most recently had a mild heart attack. Did you use dried?

    • @moonbird86
      @moonbird86  2 роки тому +2

      Hi Sadie. Yes the hawthorn tree is miraculous! I harvest my berries from local trees where I live in the Catskill mountains. Im sure you can purchase them dried if you don't have access to fresh berries. To me, fresh is always better but if not available, dried is also great.

      @@moonbird86 Can I use the dried in the Fire Cider?. I see they have some on Amazon. Thanks for responding to me so quickly. Grateful!

    Thank you so much for sharing. I will definitely be making this. Do you keep this with the lid on in a dark place? I have a cupboard where I keep my SCOBY hotel and kombucha brewing. I'm wondering if I can keep the cider in the same cupboard 🤔

    • @moonbird86
      @moonbird86  3 роки тому

      You are most welcome. Dark place with a lid is correct. Plastic better than metal! They advise against using metal with the acv. In the past I’ve used metal, but first covered jar lid with parchment paper and then screwed on the lid. Always safer to do your own research!

    I plan on adding elderberry to our homestead this spring for an immune booster. But I’m thinking my Hubster may prefer the fire cider? I might have to do a his and hers immune booster 😆 Great video 👍🏼

    • @moonbird86
      @moonbird86  3 роки тому +2

      Sure! I rarely use the same recipe twice, as I like to change it up and do different flavors, but I always use the same core ingredients:
      - 1/2 cup of grated fresh horseradish
      -1/2 cup or more of fresh onions
      -1/4 cup of chopped garlic
      -1/4 cup of fresh grated ginger
      cayenne to taste, turmeric root, cinnamon, and always RAW organic honey.
